Came for dinner with a couple of friends and it seems to be recently opened as it wasn't very crowded - surprising, since they have pretty good deals on wine. The clientele however, was mostly French which felt like a pretty good endorsement.

We wanted to order a moderately priced wine, and they offered us a suggestion in the wine list (there are two! One behind the food menu, and a separate, more extensive one so make sure you get both). It was a Merlot/Cabernet blend if I remember right, and was pretty great.

We shared the charcuterie platter and baked brie as appetizers. The charcuterie platter was way more generous than I thought it would be and a pretty good deal! There were 4-5 types of cold cuts, a bowl of pate, cornichons, tomatoes and some other type of pickle. We all loved the baked brie which was drizzled with honey, and served with crunchy slices of baguette. Yum.

For our mains, we had the beef cheek stew and duck confit gratin - both tasted pretty good. However, I found it a little strange that they should offer such heavy mains in Singapore what with the warm weather and all. For dessert, we shared a lava cake, which was fine, but nothing to write home about.

Next time, I'll stick with appetizers and wine. You can't go wrong with that and with such generous portions, they can actually make up a good meal.
