We had my daughter's 5th birthday party here. The staff is so friendly, the bathrooms are clean. The kids had a blast. My daughter was so happy the whole time. There was a lot for the kids to do, and the parents had a great time too. The staff helped us bring all of our things to the tent, and then they helped us bring everything to our car. We had our own private tent. It was a great day.

There are so many animals to see and the farm is just beautiful.

The products from here were fine, a bit over priced compared to their counter part Stoney Hill which was right next to them at the Fisk Park Farmers Market, however their service is simply the worst and their staff has no understanding of working in a system rather they let the line for the cashier run rampant and disorderly causing anger from customers including myself......potentially cashier shows favoritism

Place is a joke on apple picking. Make sure you bring your bank account with yah. 3 people cost 49 bucks that s general admission. They said you can go on hayrides unlimited times. Only went once. On top of that apples per pound is $ 2.39 that s a ripoff. Place sucks and will never return there. Staff was rude or didn t speak English. If you wanna go apple picking stick with N.Y state. This place is way over priced.

I enjoyed the day at the farm. I was a litte worried about going due to the pandemic. Although it was busy, the farm is big so you can socially distance. As of last week they had peaches, blueberries, blackberries, small portion of rasberries, tomatoes and other veggies. Buy the ticket online and if you need to buy anything else they will provide the option when you check in with the employees. I wished I bought more bags for more tomatoes and peaches. They were goooood.

Great Fall Fun! Took my G/F here in Late Sept and she loved it. Pumpkin Picking, Apple Picking, Petting Zoo, Wine Tasting, Corn Maze, Country Market, Hay Rides, Horse Rides. Lots of families with little kids and lots of couples. Heading to Alstede's has become a nice yearly fall tradition.

We went to this farm a few times and in those few times it was great! We went there yesterday and it was packed. I know it was a weekend, but I know this isn't the only farm in NJ. The workers are great, but my main problem was the people and their attitudes. A lot of rude, inconsiderate people. People wear your mask, say excuse me, and don't push people to get an apple! Are you for real?

Very pricey. Worst is the restrictive policy of not allowing you to eat while you pick (with 15 signs about it), as if they will miss it. Kind of loses out on the fun. At least they have built it up over the years...

Service dog was denied entry even after this was specified to the staff. The ADA supersedes covid guidelines in place by this establishment. Was ultimately denied entry and could not receive a refund on the tickets purchased online.

The kids enjoyed the farm and had a good time picking the fruits and vegetables and navigating the sunflower maze. I am glad I bought apples and sweet corn because I craved them the next day. The downside was how much the day cost me.

Spent a great afternoon today searching for Easter Eggs and enjoying the animals at the Petting Zoo. Staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout the day. Al (Alfred?) was very friendly and we wanted to offer a special THANK YOU for his hospitality. We appreciate the conversation! See you at the next event.

Lots of parking, helpful staff, hayride to strawberry field, variety of fruits to pick in their seasons. I am giving it 3 stars because you pay for entrance into the field and you pay for the strawberries that you pick separately. Therefore you should not pick more than what you need.

I ve come here twice, once for the purpose of the sunflower field and another time for apple picking. This farm is amazing! It literally has everything for the family. The market is really nice and the baked goods are delicious! I ve purchased the strawberry pie, black berry pancake syrup, chocolate chip cookies, the granola and some other small items. I would drive the 1.5 hour drive again just to go to the market again to buy those items. I went apple picking and the orchard is so nice, I d suggest you wear comfortable shoes and ones you re ok with dirtying. It can be a little messy if it just recently rained. Anyways beautiful farm, coming again for pumpkin picking season.

First time here and we were surprised by how big of a place this is behind the country store. Very commercial, lots of options and would get 5 stars if I still had little kids. My family and I went here to pick strawberries. We were not disappointed. Best-tasting strawberries I've ever eaten which is why Alstede gets 4 stars rather than 3.
I much prefer Riamede Farm in Chester over Alstede. Riamede is less commercial.

I didnt pick any expensive apples or buy overpriced food but my child went there and lost her phone. Fortunately it has gps and all that so I was easily able to track it down. The problem is that I tracked it to a small house near the grass parking lot and no one would go to the house to get it. They claimed they didnt find the phone and that it could be anywhere, just not in the house where clearly someone lives. i will be filing a police report. Its not a big deal to walk a few hundred feet to get whats mine. I know your employees were "busy" with all 2 of you customers today so I can understand how no one had time to do the right thing.

Went to Alstede farms in Chester yesterday to pick apples and corn. This place robs u blind. This prices they charge you to buy the stuff you pick are outrageous. Like a fool I paid $9.75 for 3 eggplants and when I said I didn't want it, they told me I had to buy anything I picked.
Stay away from this place.

Great place to pick strawberries but I think the star of the show was actually the homemade ice cream. The fresh ingredients really make a difference.

Bring your own containers for the berries and bring some ice to store them as the hot sun will make them a bit softer than when you just pick them.

Will be back for peaches and apples in the future.

I love this farm so very much and I visit it at least four to five times a year. My father and I go here to pick apples and to get fresh produce and we love it. In addition there is live entertainment as well as a winery where you can sit and taste the wines. It is a great place for families as well as first dates and even if you are by yourself you would enjoy yourself. They have food as well as ice cream and who doesn't love a great apple cider donut. Small pets are welcome and you can walk the farm and enjoy the entire day in the sunflower maze or climbing the giant hay bales. If you do not like to walk much then you can catch a hayride, pick your produce, take another hayride back, sit near the farm store, listen to music and have a little food. Enjoy yourself and take lots of pictures because there is a petting zoo for the little ones as well.

The pick-your-own fields are fun, but it feels weird that those apples cost MORE than the apples in the farm store, especially after there's already a charge for doing PYO to begin with.

Also, it was disappointing that the hot apple cider wasn't mulled, and that it was clearly heated in a poorly cleaned coffee pot (for the coffee-sensitive, there's no mistaking the taste).

We have had the CSA from Alstede for 2 seasons now and I can only say good things about the quality, variety and overall price. Having farm fresh, non-GMO veggies and fruit for 6 months makes the winter a very long haul... I only wish it were year-round!

The farm is jam-packed on weekends, so expect a wait if you go then. Weekdays are a much more sane time to visit.

Also, the ice cream is fantastic.

There were some farm animals that i thought were super friendly and cute! It was an amazing experience just a little expensive, but for the fun its worth it!

A tourist trap. Overpriced produce and baked goods. Everything in gift shop is 3x the normal price. Kids would have fun here, some farm animals and a sunflower maze. It should be noted that the handicapped rest room and "family" rest room are actually port-a-potties. Very poor.

HOLY COW, this place is like a mini theme park in the fall (can't say for other times of the year) and great for kids who want to pet animals, climb a hay stack , feed a goat with a pulley system, really great tasting apples/peaches and a ton more. We didn't pay to get into the picking area but we saw more activities over there too.

Probably the biggest farm in the North Jersey area. They tend to set up Farmers markets all over the state. In the fall, they are very popular for pumpkin and apple picking, along with other produce such as eggplant, peppers, and berries. Pony and hayrides are available as well as a number of activities for the kiddies. Come early as parking and traffic tend to be more difficult as the day wears on.

Pricey PYO strawberries offset by huge fields and friendly staff. The hayride was necessary to get to farthest strawberry patches. Good desserts and cute animal areas for kids. Looking forward to peach season here.

Its a very large farm and bring those walking shoes. the apples were very good after letting them ripen off the tree for a day or 2. very crunchy and a little tart it get aweeter if you let it ripen more off the tree(by using brown bags and leaving with bananas or something).

i dropped my daughter's spare clothes on the hay ride and someone was nice enough to bring it to the front and leave it by the exit. that was very nice of who ever it was possibly a worker or patron. my family really liked the trip there.
