Always been my favorite North lake resort. Solid resort to spend all day off piste, especially on the backside. Still hoping they will put a faster lift in to get over to the backside. Parking can be a mess so aim to get there before 9am.

Typical money hungry establishment. When you pay 170$ for a day pass and have to stop prior to half day to take your girlfriend to the hospital and they can't discount your next visit.
Skied here after a day at Squaw. Personally like Alpine much better. Lines were managed better. Variety of skiing of of the lifts is excellent. Has a old school family friendly feel. View from the top are breathtakingg
Alpine meadows pretty kool place first run opning day ...Rite out of the Box....good day great trail with good house snow to boot the kangaroooo.. just kept gettin better cant wait too hit the run tommarrow groomers...Thanks Alpine meadows
Not a bad resort overall! They have a good mix of blues & greens from their main lift. And then they also have a dedicated area for black diamonds and free runs from the Scott lift. Their trail map is a little confusing and their terrain park is small and needs improvement for this who like to hit a few jumps etc. great military discount as well!!
As of February 21st, 2018, the groomed runs were in great shape and the skiing was a lot of fun. Many lifts (And the runs they served) were closed, and snow coverage outside of snow making areas was minimal.
The trails are long, super wide and groomed. And the snow was decent even though there has been no snowfall for the past 4 weeks. Thanks to snow machines. And the view of tahoe lake from the summit was amazing. I would definitely go to this place again.
Get there early for good parking (like 7am). Lifts opened at 8:30 the day we went. Way less crowded than Squaw. Not as many shops/things to do as Squaw, but if you just wanna ski, this is the place.
This is a good ski resort but it is no longer affordable to the middle class let alone the poor. It used to be a fun family friendly place middle class families could afford but now it s only a playground for the rich. The owners don t care about anyone unless they have money. So sad.
Not very big, but very good for beginner to intermediate skiers. Good for 2-3 days ski trip. And super close to Squaw valley with free shuttle in between every 20-30 minutes
Always a great time. However, lines were long and I was surprised that they didn't have more lifts open. My expectations are that they go above and beyond this year given that we received no credit for lasts year's season being cut short. Hopefully they step it up.
Also, the brownies at the food stand in the entrance corridor were bomb.
Very chill resort. lots of steeps, bowls, tree runs, hidden stashs off lakeview, scott, summit and alpine. Staff and hosts very cool. Lower mountain has good areas for noobs to hone the craft, be it ski or board. Lessons available if required. Large main chalet with eats, bar, great deck and lots of sitting space in and out. 1 small mid mountain chalet (across from yellow and scott), cool lil deck, not a lot of room inside but has food. Back side has a small Ice bar (they call it) to kick it and have a cold one, near mid or end of day. Cool view of Lake Tahoe off lakeview chair. Dig this resort to lay some tracks, give it a try if youre into winter fun.
Love the chill atmosphere of Alpine Meadows over Squaw. Even on a beautiful bluebird day there were no lift lines and conditions were perfect. Hats off to the grooming team as they do a great job keeping miles of fresh corduroy for us!!
Great little ski area with fantastic lake views at the top. Not too many options but great for intermediate levels. Nice staff and short (er) lines than other places in the area.
This place is fantastic, for all levels of skiers!
I started to ski this season by attending the perfect progression program here which includes three beginner lessons, three meals, and seasonal rental and lift ticket. The instructors were very helpful and after three lessons I was able to ski down the green lanes parallelly.
After that I enrolled in its unlimited class which allowed me to take a lesson whenever I was there. After taking a few lessons, I am now comfortable to ski down most advance lanes.
Regarding the lanes, there are both wide groomed beginner/intermediate lanes good for practicing skills and steep advance lanes with moguls and the amazing lake view. The snow condition here is usually good, especially after a snow storm.
Last but not the least, the Alpine Bacon Burger at the resort here is fantastic!
We love this resort! The lift lines are very reasonable and the staff is always super friendly and happy. The mountain is absolutely gorgeous and the runs groomed to perfection. This year their park selection is on the low side but the mountain is still a blast !
