Best in town, I got seazonbticket for 2, it was ok in price, relatively ex pensive weekend tickets vs. Weekdays tickets are cheap. Great plays, great environment, kind people serve and help around. I advise alll Houstonians. At least one time, you should try!

I have always enjoyed performances at the Alley. The seating arrangements provide an intimate setting in which to enjoy the show. We attended the last performance of the season and the theater will be closing for a year for much needed renovations. I look forward to visiting the new Alley in 2015.

Amazing production, the theatre that made us fall in love with theatre. There isn't a single bad seat in the house with the stage thrust out into the audience. Highly recommend checking out at least once.

Since native Houstonian guest director, Jackson Gay, has been invited to The Alley from New York the pertenece of the shows has tripled. The theatre itself has several pieces of theatre going on in different theaters. I forget the the theatre Jackson's last show was in, (I believe it was the Carolyn Farb theatre) but it was a very intimate one woman show with Suzanne Vega. It was a perfectly paired theatre/production show.

The Alley is a must visit if you live in or visit theatre!

We just saw the "Murder on the Orient Express . The play and the players were great. We really enjoyed it. The theatre is perfect. I think visitors who sit any of the seats can see and hear the play properly. The atmosphere is great. I strongly recommend this theater. We will definitely visit there, again. Our next play will be 1984 by George Orwell.

We saw Hamilton here and it was good. Regardless of the show, it's well kept and they offer the ability to pay for drinks at intermission. This is a must do so you can simply grab your drink

Well maintained, with helpful staff. All the usual amenities are available including wine hard liquor candy breath mints soft drinks and water. WiFi is available bit requires password. Parking garage next door only accepts cash so be sure to stop at an ATM first. Event parking typically costs $10. Plays are of good quality and variety. Recommended for a date night.

Great theater in the heart of the theater district in downtown, Houston. You can either come here via the train and walk a couple of blocks down or drive here. Currently, the valet section has been closed off but there are two garages where you can park. They have great plays there with an even greater cast. Always current and give great opportunities to new and upcoming playwrights. If you can't attend the main shows, they always have others at a reduced cost.

We parked in theater parking and were directed by parking people to park way on the other side of the parking lot. It was very hot and by the time we trudge to the theater( past numerous empty spots and up a dingy stairwell much much closer) we were a sweaty mess. Hoping for a small bite to eat we asked for the bar. No food but a assortment of junk food and no where to sit. The few places to sit were already taken. The seats in the theater itself are probably ok if you are under 5,3 which we are not. Acoustics were good . We will probably not return.

A very small and cute theatre that oftentimes has small productions that you usually don't see or hear about. I ALWAYS go see their Christmas Carol production every Christmas. It's nothing fancy or extravagant like Broadway but it's got all the passion and talent you'd see anywhere else.

The Alley has never disappointed. Even our least favorite production's writing was redeemed through stellar performances, set design and technical aspects. The resident company is second to none. Everyone at the Alley should be applauded for providing such an amazing theatrical experience. We are and always will be season subscribers.
