New seats, furnishings; fully restored after Harvey damage. Super cast of actors who don't disappoint in their character performance.

Love the redo of this classically modern theater venue! New sound system/acoustics work well. Reasonable Matinee prices available some shows. Comfortable seating.
Best in town, I got seazonbticket for 2, it was ok in price, relatively ex pensive weekend tickets vs. Weekdays tickets are cheap. Great plays, great environment, kind people serve and help around. I advise alll Houstonians. At least one time, you should try!
Beatiful facility after it was cleaned and fixed up from Harvey. I miss going because the Covid shut down closures.
I have always enjoyed performances at the Alley. The seating arrangements provide an intimate setting in which to enjoy the show. We attended the last performance of the season and the theater will be closing for a year for much needed renovations. I look forward to visiting the new Alley in 2015.
It's my favorite theatre and always has a great production. They never stop to amaze me and my family.
The production was perfect. My 19 & 8 yr old grandsons were mesmerized the whole time. The whole theater was decorated perfectly. Our seats were perfect. Price was good.
Saw murder on the orient express and it was wonderful! I really love the updates since the remodel. Definitely recommend!
If you like theatre, you will love the Alley. The sets are extravagant and polished, the costumes befit the characters, and the actors always get a standing ovation. Highly recommend!
No bad seat in the house. Great productions. Saw "A Christmas Carol" this year - fantastic.
Just attended the All New works. These are readings & rollouts of works under consideration as new productions. Unique to involve a real audiance for the playwrites.
Absolutely a World Class theatre.
Large varity of productions each season on 2 stages.
Look over this season and buy your tix now!
One of the best theater companies in the country for a reason--many reasons, actually.
I've been to a bunch of their shows. I love the Alley Theatre!
The alley is one of the best theatres I have ever experienced
Favorite theater anywhere. True pros. The theater lives!
Amazing production, the theatre that made us fall in love with theatre. There isn't a single bad seat in the house with the stage thrust out into the audience. Highly recommend checking out at least once.
Wonderful play, lovely facility. Difficult for small bus to enter drive if at all.
Very nice venue and The Christmas Carol was excellent. I wish there was a bit longer intermission. Also, I wish all of the theaters downtown would establish a dress code....
Our first visit to Alley Theatre. Had a wonderful experience! Love the theatre. We saw A Christmas Carol, the play was amazing, the cast was amazing. A must see experience for sure. Had a very lovely time, can't wait to go back.
They have magnificent effects and great plays, I especially loved the play Holmes and Watson!
Last time was there about 7 years ago, after Harvey, they closed for renovations since it got flooded. I saw " The three Musketeers" it was a good play and funny. The actors very talented. I recommend it.
Saw a wonderful Agatha Cristy Mousetrap performance here by local troupe. I felt did they were amazing. Thank you
Top notch talent. Great venue. Not a "bad" seat in the house.
The Alley is within 1 block of eateries and places to grab an adult beverage prior to the show. Go early and enjoy the area!
12th Night was absolutely brilliant. Beats Broadway!
Excellent parking located on site. Tons of restaurants within walking distance of the Alley Theatre
Since native Houstonian guest director, Jackson Gay, has been invited to The Alley from New York the pertenece of the shows has tripled. The theatre itself has several pieces of theatre going on in different theaters. I forget the the theatre Jackson's last show was in, (I believe it was the Carolyn Farb theatre) but it was a very intimate one woman show with Suzanne Vega. It was a perfectly paired theatre/production show.
The Alley is a must visit if you live in or visit theatre!
I haven't been since Harvey happened but the times that I have been before that have always been fun. I've seen many shows on both of their stages and have never had a bad seat.
Alley is my go-to. Always excellent service. The bar staff and parking attendants are excellent. The staff really takes care of us. ALWAYS a pleasure.
Stunning theatre, lots of unused spaces around the stairwell - would be nice to have some things on display?
As always, my experience with the plays at the Alley Theatre never disappoints me. The Actor's and Actresses are simply AMAZING..... Keep the plays coming.
Very festive! The actors were amazing in Christmas Carol! Fun times! Parking was a bear :-(
High quality performances, fairly priced! Love the shows they put on here!
Houston Ballet! Need we say more? Great place with great seats.
Superb production coupled with stellar actors made our night most memorable! We will be back!
Liked the performance and especially staging. He'd trouble hearing some lines. Sound not consistent. Wish I had known about head phones. Also had BIG problem for of us getting up to ticket booth and elevator. No handicapped entry or exit??? Seats were good row M, N.
We just saw the "Murder on the Orient Express . The play and the players were great. We really enjoyed it. The theatre is perfect. I think visitors who sit any of the seats can see and hear the play properly. The atmosphere is great. I strongly recommend this theater. We will definitely visit there, again. Our next play will be 1984 by George Orwell.
Love Alley Theater. Always plenty of parking, lots of restaurants, clean cool theaters. Their mysteries and comedies are top notch.
GREAT seating. Friendly staff. A place for adult friends & FAMILY after DINNER!!
We saw Hamilton here and it was good. Regardless of the show, it's well kept and they offer the ability to pay for drinks at intermission. This is a must do so you can simply grab your drink
Well maintained, with helpful staff. All the usual amenities are available including wine hard liquor candy breath mints soft drinks and water. WiFi is available bit requires password. Parking garage next door only accepts cash so be sure to stop at an ATM first. Event parking typically costs $10. Plays are of good quality and variety. Recommended for a date night.
Great theater in the heart of the theater district in downtown, Houston. You can either come here via the train and walk a couple of blocks down or drive here. Currently, the valet section has been closed off but there are two garages where you can park. They have great plays there with an even greater cast. Always current and give great opportunities to new and upcoming playwrights. If you can't attend the main shows, they always have others at a reduced cost.
We parked in theater parking and were directed by parking people to park way on the other side of the parking lot. It was very hot and by the time we trudge to the theater( past numerous empty spots and up a dingy stairwell much much closer) we were a sweaty mess. Hoping for a small bite to eat we asked for the bar. No food but a assortment of junk food and no where to sit. The few places to sit were already taken. The seats in the theater itself are probably ok if you are under 5,3 which we are not. Acoustics were good . We will probably not return.
Terrific theater where there really isn't a bad seat in the house. Attached convenient parking.
The smell from the attached Italian restaurant will make you hungry walking in or leaving.
Great place for theater...not a bad seat I the house
Just working but my brother went to a showing of A Night before Christmas and said it was excellent
Got the play as a Christmas gift and loved every minute of it!
Saw Holmes and Watson this time. Each production we've seen has been fabulous! Love having quality theater right here in our backyard!
A very small and cute theatre that oftentimes has small productions that you usually don't see or hear about. I ALWAYS go see their Christmas Carol production every Christmas. It's nothing fancy or extravagant like Broadway but it's got all the passion and talent you'd see anywhere else.
Parking is a pain but that's just Houston. Great theater, I always have the best time when I go to a show at ally!
Lovely venue in downtown Houston. I have visited here much for their performances especially during the holidays. The staff here is very professional. Its very nice to see Houston value the arts.
Beautiful place for shows, I loved midnight summers dream!
We took our grandsons to see A Christmas Carol and it was wonderful! Definitely need to get rickets!
Love the atmosphere during Christmas! We came back for a long loved show and to celebrate my birthday. The bar service is convenient and fast! Nice staff.
There really isn't a bad seat in the house. I always enjoy going to see plays here.
The Alley has never disappointed. Even our least favorite production's writing was redeemed through stellar performances, set design and technical aspects. The resident company is second to none. Everyone at the Alley should be applauded for providing such an amazing theatrical experience. We are and always will be season subscribers.
Very nice theatre, seating is excellent from anywhere.
Saw A Christmas Carol once again... always an awesome show!
Two stars for the two seats I had to reschedule and was charged. For someone who calls every six months for support ... Why, you make good money from folks asking to move a ticket from one night to the next for a play that is not sold out. PLEASE TAKE ME OFF YOUR CONTACT LIST!
We love this amazing place! The shows are captivating and spectacular. One example of a show A Christmas Carol , it blew me and my wife away. The show had special effects and great actors.
