Good food and great service (except for one guy with a head scarf who is in the wrong job).
Good food and great service (except for one guy with a head scarf who is in the wrong job).
Good food (as an Indian i approve). God staff service. Great location. But big portions for single travelers, at an expensive price. But if youre in it for good indian curries -this is def. the place
Great and fantastic food, awesome!
Great food, one always gets saturated - which is the meaning of Indian restaurant!
Have been here many times, always happy :)
Highly recommend !!!
It's awesome. We struggle to try anywhere new when visiting Oslo. Delicious curry!
Excellent food, good prices, awesome service. Have been there twice and will definitely go again.
Rude staff. Not a nice feeling. Very expensive. Less value for money. Staff forces you to order so that per table and number of people around could generate the bill amount they exepect. Ordinary setup. No nice decor. It feels like a regular busy room. Neither quieter nor cosy. Just another place to fill your stomach being near to sentral.
I highly not recommended.
The food was not too expensive, I got entree, main course and dessert for 299 kroner. The food was delicious, except for the dessert. In itself, everyone who likes Indian food should like to stop by here.
Where else to go to Oslo? The only place in Oslo where you eat well with normal prices. Buffet lunch at 99 krone, 11 euros, when a sandwich in Oslo normally costs 8 euros. Only at lunch, okay, am even on the weekend! In the center, near Stortinget
Tourist trap at Karl Johan. Delicious food in a weary room. Rather go for some 100 meters for Indian food of a completely different class.
Delicious food. Reasonable prices. Quick serving. We ordered three courses for 299, - where we could choose freely from the menu.
Really nice restaurant! The food is ALWAYS on point and the service is great. I eat here very often and I am always greeted with a smile when I walk inn. Their buffet is perfect for adults, children as well as vegetarians!
The locations itself could not get any better - right on Oslos most famous street.
Try it for yourself!
Was a bit disappointed, not as good food as expected.
Fantastic good food, warm and service-minded staff and lovely locals!
Sunday buffet was good value for money. Chicken peas curry and raita was great. Fish in the fish curry was normal frozen fish fillet without texture. However, the nun today was quite dry.
As usual: top quality Indian food. All you can eat buffet for 99 kr, seven days per week.
Pleasant Ambience & Excellent eating experience!!!. From walking in the door and being greeted by employee, seated and food order taken, was maybe 5 minutes. Meal was served hot and excellent taste...
Very good and authentic Indian food at reasonable price. Very happy to take lunch at this restaurant.
Go there by 11 , sit by window , enjoy charm of Karl Johan and eat 7 just cooked items... For 99 kr ... when ever I have time, I go there. Nice Guys.. Specially Pajiii...
Great service, nice and helpful staff, excellent food and surprisingly availible this time of year. We got a table in less than 30 minutes and food took about the same time to arrive. Drinks came right away, prices were good and the whole establishment gave us the impression that this was a tidy business.
Well being indian... I know the taste so here it's good but dnt expect extraordinary.
We came here because the google showed this to be nearer for us. But we had a bad treatment there.
Beware, if you are an Indian, there are all chances that you will be ill treated. The Owner of the restaurant along with his workers may come bouncing on you and demand money for something which you did not eat.
It so happened that we were asked to pay 50sek extra for our kid's meal because our daughter accompanied us in the table (they assumed she shared our thali meal) which was not the case. We infact ordered 2 separate rotis for her but they did not agree. When I explained this, they raised their voice and demand money for both roti and kid meal .
We are vegetarians and did not take most of the items from their menu but still ended up paying extra for our kid's meal though she did not eat anything.
All in all, we felt business is to be conducted with ethics for customers to revist them..
Restaurant in central Oslo, next to Stortinget station. A small range of indian food, but of "up to standard" quality. Worth it for the lunch buffet, but apart from that im not sure...
Varied and tasty. Vindaloo is not a great deterrent if you like strong foods.
Fantastic service. Nice Food. Warm environment.

Always just quick and good service and the food tastes fantastic every time. The meat is tender and the taste buds are happy every time. The dishes are served with fresh fruit.
I was on one week deputation in Oslo and looking for veg food as I am veg. And I found Jaipur on main street. Food was above avg and they also offer buffet but unlike indian buffet, they had 3 items in veg, 3 items in non-veg, raita and rice. Roti/Bread has to be ordered separately. However I did not go for buffet as there was long queue to get the food.
Good to find some veg and near indian tasty food in Oslo. There is also another indian food place is "New Delhi" near opera house but did not get chance to go there.
Very good restaurant, because: The waitress always comes and without us having ordered with a small "starter" with a green, red and white "dip" for the good flatbread. Main course, always very good, quickly delivered and not too expensive and myyye food Gets a drink right away and well before the main course.
They also have an Indian beer which is recommended. Always bring my friends and colleagues here. Highly recommended, 6s on the dice.
Unbelievable quality of food at a ridiculously cheap price (lunch buffet). When we saw the price outside, we thought it was too good to be true and you top it up with great dal makhni and saag! I m a Punjabi at core so don t easily get impressed with India food Europe but this place was great! I might go back to Oslo just to have their food again.
Good food, but degrading, almost reprehensible, and bad service ruins the whole experience. Very tradng, but some nice seating and decent views to "karl johan".
Ate a good spiced chicken, with basmati rice and their bread .... all good, nothing to say. Fast and friendly service. On Thursday the place was full. Expensive? Norwegian prices, cmq we are with 470K we came away satisfied.
Excellent food - lamb curry variants and nan. Poor beer selection, but given that we chose the spicy option on the food, a very plain beer was ok. Fast service.
great indian food and the service was good as well!
Really good food and the lunch buffet is a great value in the heart of the Oslo tourist district.
Ordered food via too good to go, but it was not ready before picking up time, which seems strange as you get a pick up time. A bit annoying at the same time, as I had plans that might be postponed because of this.
Got hair in the food, the staff were helpful with this, got an apology and the waiter went his way.
Truly desi Indian food would definitely recommend people wanting to eat authentic Indian food
The buffet was really disappointing, poor service! It is not recommended! Bad food, wasted a waste of money! No pleasant experience! Dritt mat !! And totally damn experience and service! tragic waiters on the spot!
No polit to the customer, they are charging even for 2 years old kid.
Good food, great service & value for money. Perfect location - in the middle of Oslo.
Always good Indian food at this restaurant. Gentle and nice waiters. Informal and pleasant atmosphere. Recommended!
Sorry friends,. Correction to my pevious review.. be careful many people reported the food they serve not fresh and even have experienced same, have visited thrice and same experience.
Please don't go on quantity.. its quality which matters.. eat healthy and stay fit...health is wealth.
you have both options veg and nonveg... Its buffet system. Risk and choice is yours.
Good food, always crowded but nice atmosphere, decent service but quite pricy, most likely due to the expensive location. We saw two big families from India eating there at the same time as we where there, which I think is a good sign.
Do not eat here. The quantity of food is very low. Prices are too high. They have invented the art of papad thin roti.
You can get better quality and quantity at the Indian restaurant next door
This restaurant had just such amazing food and service. We found the food to be excellent quality and amazing variety and so very tasty. Excellent place to dine at Oslo. The lunch buffet was the one we had during our first visit and it s very cheap and then we went for dinner as well
Amazing Indian restaurant in the heart of Oslo.
Great lunch buffet for very little money
Delicious food at a good price
The stairs up to Jaipur contribute to a separate atmosphere from Karl Johans gate. We were welcomed by an enthusiastic waiter, who showed us the seats and briefly told us what their Indian cuisine had to offer. The food was introduced right after serving, and fell in favor of the whole table. Wouldn't say this was a culinary expedition, but a nice balance of acidity, umami, and a playful sweetness is an adventure in itself. the way to a man's heart is through food - and Jaipur did.
If you are Norwegian and love spices and do not care how authentic Indian tastes, then this place is perfect for you.
They are fast, service minded. Even the waiters who can't speak Norwegian have pegged "hope it tastes" "welcome back" "food was good", regardless of what guests ask or answer.
Great food, nice place, easier than "traditional" Indian restaurants.
Lamb Biryani is divine. Such good service. The good food Keeps you coming back. Whether living in Oslo or visiting must try it ...
Great food and atmosphere! And the staff there is nothing to say. Very happy and will always come back :)
The dishes shown in the photos do not correspond to reality, or now perhaps it has changed management. They only have two types of curries and practically all of the dishes look the same. Bad experience.
Very good restaurant, I recommend Tikka masala chicken.
Amazing place. I fell in love with Indian cuisine because of this restaurant. I can not recommend it more. Everything before and after seems like a joke.
In Oslo, there are few cheaper meals in the streets. At noon the price is cheaper than the price of a 12x kroner from the downstairs hamburger. Many people are delicious and clean!
It's not great at all.. and it's very expensive.. food is not that great.
Not a kidney grant. More pub atmosphere than oriental Indian restaurant.
Very economic for lunch specially for non-vegetarians
We ordered dal makhani and they served some other Dal and they call it dal makhani
Great food, simple and a little tired local, nice staff
Best food we have ever had . A must dine in for a fantastic indian cuisine.
Wowwww, very nice and cheap desi indian punjabi food. Lovely sitting area.
This is a good Indian restaurant not far away from Oslo Central station. It provides buffet in lunch and you have ala carte options for dinner. We went there for lunch and both veg and non veg options were delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.!!
Good Indian restaurant, not expensive, service is good. Good choice of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian products. The restaurant is clean, the bathrooms are clean. The waiters kind, prepared and friendly. The cost of a dinner is on average. It is also worth thinking about because it is located in a central area of Oslo, in Karl Johan gata the shopping street of Oslo.
Quick service, good food and actually quite affordable. If you love indian food, then this is the place to go.
