Stunning. It's like walking in a fairytale garden....
Stunning. It's like walking in a fairytale garden. A must see!
Stunning. It's like walking in a fairytale garden. A must see!
One of the best gardens in Europe and the best Tulip gardens. If you are traveling to the Netherlands around April-May then do spare time to visit Keukenhof. It can be half a day to full day activity, and believe me you will not feel bored no matter how long you stay there.
Practical information - since it is open only for two months, weekends are extremely crowded, and to get to the parking can take from 1-3hours so be patient. On the weekdays, it is not as crowded. So if you are going there with smaller kids then pick a day when you don t get stuck in traffic queue to get in.
Better buy your tickets online, then you may save another 30min to 1 hour.
Finally, get a good camera, water bottle, nice walking shoes and enjoy the day!
I have visited multiple times in the past few years and enjoyed it so much that I decided to work there during the 2019 season. A breathtaking place to visit and a fun place to work!
Our recent visit was as expected. Wear your walking shoes and check the temperature forecast. It was windy and made for a cool day at the park. Wear layers of clothes. Lots of parking and all areas are on level ground.
Awesome place to visit to experience beauty of flowers. Wide variety in colors. Nice experience to visit this tulip garden.
Marvellous place! The parking place is big and coordinated by the staff. There are options for lunch and a good coffee shop in front of lake where can ride in a gondola.
The flower fields and gardens are beautiful.
It is a obligatory place to go when you travel around there.
Absolutely beautiful, perfectly manicured gardens, and naturally very fragrant. Only a little over half the tulips were in bloom outside when I visited, but it was still extremely colorful from earlier blooming hyacinths and daffodils. The indoor displays were also very impressive.
Easy to get to via bus from Schipol. It was fairly peaceful early in the morning, but does start getting rather crowded as the big tour groups start arriving around 10-11.
Amazing! But don t buy the tickets just anywhere. They might charge you up to 50 for the ticket + transportation. If you buy at licensed places it s 25 for the same combination of services. Check the official website and search the combiticket!
Keukenhof is very nice place to be in Netherland. You can reach to this place by many way, you can also take tour from Amsterdam. The garden is very big and have lot of varieties of tulip all around. It's an amazing place for kids or to visit with family. It's very natural and fun place to be in Netherland.
Absolutely amazing. Wait a whole year to be able to get there for the tulip seasons, and it's totally worth it, perfect to go and spend the day. The mosaics you get to see in these gardens are just out of this world, just an example of the talent this gardeners put every year to make this one the biggest spring garden in the whole world. The colours you will get to see, are amazing and perfect for photography. Highly recommended
World's largest garden they say. and yes, it truly is magnificent. best time to visit is from April to July. Garden opens in April so there wont be lots of flower/tulips blossom. May-June is the perfect time.
there is bus service from Amsterdam airport and takes around 30 mins to Keukenhof.
There are snack bars inside and outside the garden in case you feel hungry.
Must. Visit. Go early to avoid the traffic and the crouds. Especially the kind of tourists and families that destroy the flowers for a selfie and even cut them to put them on their empty heads.
Amazing garden with variety of tulips. Best time to visit is from April to end of May. Book tickets online to avoid long queue
Visit the tulips, arrive early, around 8am, the place will be empty, it becomes a zoo later in the day. Take the boat trip to see the fields, and try a Belgian waffle.
My fourth visit, I wasn't disappointed!! We took public transport from Amsterdam to the gardens, most efficient. Plenty of cafes, seats to rest. The garden looked superb as usual.
If you like flowers you have to go ! It is a bic park but there are inside spots 2 so best on a sunny day but on a rainy day there is still a lot to see. There are a lot of places to eat ore chill ore go to the restroom and gift shop's. It is really good set up. But it is not chip parking is not free
A once in a life time experience.
Couldn't stop taking pictures. The abundance of flowers is overwhelming.
If you visit the Netherland's on March or April don't miss it.
A great trip to take out of Amsterdam, best time is April for the bulb fields but there's always something going on at Keukenhof. I was surprised how good a visit it was, definitely exceeded my expectations even though I went in May.
No doubt a great place to visit!! About 40min far from Amsterdam and certainly worth the visit!! BUT BUT you have to check the timing of tulip bloom which is available on net!!!i.e
It's a awarded garden as world best garden for many times.... But check the blooming time.. which is generally March and April.
That was a brilliant experience, lots of blooming flowers, well organized. Easy to get around. Food, snack, Cake, Coffee and beer avaiable.
Absolutely amazing, so colourful and artistic! The flowers and gardens are looked after so beautifully!
Fantastic. Even though can crowded, still once a lifetime tulip wonderland trip worth
Great way to spend an afternoon! Spacious, colourful, lots to see
Borring and too much people. I didn't like. Not worth this money at all. At least You can play some geo games.
Truly amazing place during springtime at Netherlands. Flower season lasts only for few months. You can get there from Amsterdam in 30 minutes by bus, easy way to travel to Keukenhof. Beautiful gardens and flower shows. Enough places to eat, have coffee or just rest. We were here on easter so place was full of people. Little patience helped to survive of the day. Children will also like this place.
Worth visiting this place in mid of April...
Mind blowing Tulips..
Definitely a must see if you are in Amsterdam at the right time! So many different areas to the garden with different types of flowers. Even with the different crowds around parts of the garden I found it very serene and enjoyed my time there. You can also rent a bike in the parking lot and do a bike tour of the flower fields around Lisse.
I visit this place every year. It's amazing as usual. Love it a lot.
Very beautiful gardens and a very well done park. It was extremely crowded, however. Go early in the day to beat the crowd for sure. It was an easy bus ride from Schipol airport right to the front gate of Keukenhof.
It's definitely beautiful, but the crowds ruin everything. Okay for once in a lifetime visit
Great way of spending the day. Nature, flowers, amazing colours.
Beautiful Place and great for people in wheelchairs
Women and flowers can never be separated, like music to the ears.
There's a feeling of tranquility, peace and freedom looking at the beautiful arranged flowers of all kinds in Keukenhof. And of course, the tulips is the favourite. There's just so many kinds of tulips in all colours, even in black.
There's a beautiful lake, too with swans freely swimming and looking so majestic.
I went up the viewing deck in a windmill and had a panoramic view of Keukenhof.
I had some ice cream, strawberries, coffee and snacks there.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Keukenhof.
One should visit here in first week of March and before king's day.
Always fascinating view of Tulip flower. Every body come here with smile
Beautiful flowers. The place is huge but not a ton see.
This is an exhibition park for different bulb producers. Not your cosy park. And way too many people there.
Beautiful / wonderful flowers maintained fantastically.Must visit
Endless tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and even orchids. Major attraction in area for spring time. Need almost the whole day to explore the whole garden.
Wonderful park but high prices at the restaurant. Burger with fries and small beer 17,50 Euro - self service! But the park is worth a visit.
Most wonderful place i've been visited since I love tulips and spring. 5 hours is not enough for me to cover the garden and enjoy the view.
Truly a unique experience. Wander for hours in awe of 7+ million flowers, each designed with thought and creativity. I only wish we had spent more time there!
Great place to spend a day, there's a lot to see. They have all kinds of tulips, it's a beautiful place. Very relaxing atmosphere.
Its not just tulips, theres 100s of different kinds of flowers. Very busy as it is a very popular tourist spot and its only seasonal, Feb to may I believe... But worth it. Just impressive how many there are and its beautiful with all the colours
The most beautiful garden I have ever seen. They have every kind of tulip you could ever dream of. The colors are so vibrant and stunning. This year they had gorgeous exhibitions of Orchids and hydrangeas and hyacinths. I do have to say that I went on a Thursday and it was very full. I recommend checking and carefully choosing the day you go because they have have some very busy and full weekends as of late. They have a boat tour, a windmill that you can go in, a play area for children and lots of places to eat. It is a very lovely place and I would visit it again.
Lovely flowers. A big crowd but this is because we were at the peak season and the flowers are at their best.
Spectacular! Easy to catch a bus from Amsterdam and back - it can get quite busy so recommend going earlier in the day
Keukenhof is definitely one of the must see attractions when in the Netherlands, it is most certainly not overrated. The arrangement of the very pretty tulips is marvellous; we have visited the Netherlands three times and have come to Keukenhof at each one of these visits and found that it does not disappoint. You should visit Keukenhof when you come to the Netherlands, for sure.
Although tulips were in bloom, I felt it was still the tulip fields nearby that steal the show. Large variety of flowers all in one roof. Worth a visit.
Great place but we were probably a little early in the season
Having said that it was quiet so easier to see everything
Beautiful tulips and lots of interesting things for everyone including a petting zoo and play park for little ones.
What an amazing place which is open from late March to late May annually. You will need most of a day to see all the beautiful beds of tulips, daffodils and hyacinths to name but a few of the plants featured. Lots of places to buy food from. If you want to go on the boat ride, make sure you arrive early and book as soon as you arrive.
Bit overrated attraction i feel than projected. Its an exhibition of flowers and extremely crowded during holiday and spring. Visit here only if you like to see flower exhibition and the do not take the boat ride which is not exciting.
Reach easily from airport and you can buy tickets directly here. Better to take food along with you rather than buying there. Take the cyling trip from outside to view the majestic tulip farms.
Beautiful place and must see, if you are visiting Amsterdam during mid march to mid may. We had taken a guided bike tour to the place including few other places. Which really helped,as the guide took us to few tulip fields which are amazing and would have missed if we go by bus to keukenhof. However be mindful of prices in the park, even a small snack or a bottle of water is very costly, so buy something outside before you go in to the park
Crowded and make sure you have more than 3 hrs time when you visit, it's lot of ground to cover.
A lifetime experience particularly if you love flowers and have read some background on the various tulips
Definitely a must see attraction if visiting. Grounds are well maintained. colors are beautifully brilliant and vibrant. I dont think i walked the entire thing but i got most in. Its a good walk. Theres a restaurant on site but i wish there were more water fountains or stations around. Gotta climb the windmill.
