Definitely and undoubtedly the best art museum in the middle Europe!
Nice museum, very nice. It often hosts very interesting temporary exhibitions.
Really enjoyed the exhibition, Monet to picasso. Great quality.
Great Place to visit. Exibihition is wonderful and the Place serves the pictures very good. Visite during Claude Monet exibihition.
I really liked the museum, especially the part of contemporary art, much more interesting than the Mumok.
If you are a connoisseur of art, you will spend the whole day in this place. Very cool!
Amazing grounds and exhibits! Very helpful staff as well.
Close to downtown, you can enjoy painting while taking a break on the sightseeing route.
Great small art museum. Albert's apartments are also impressive.
Exposures very beautiful but very disorganized ... Half an hour queue even if we had tickets and too much confusion to the mandatory and paid wardrobe (not included in the ticket)
Outstanding Monet exhibition.
100 images collected from all over the world.
Bonus: Chagall works
Picasso and Munch
There's often free art exhibitions. Follow museum website.
Really good museum near the national opera and the Hasbourg castle. The entrance is free for the children under 19 years old. In this place you can discover private appartments and some well-known paintings.
Keith Haring exhibition very well designed. The individual rooms well designed - good selection of wall colors. Very informative labels. Small drawback: the timeline down the escalator is too fast - but you can read everything up again while driving up.
As always very interesting pictures and special exhibition
I really enjoyed the exhibition "Vienna Watercolor". Not overcrowded despite the large crowd. Highly recommended, I always like to go there again.
Masterpieces of world painting. Thought there would be more pictures
Warhol, Fontana, Klee and the best of contemporary art
"Passion for drawing": strong drawings, good presentation
Wonderful museum to visit, awesome collection on display, decent entry price.
Beauty! I fell in love with this town and the Picasso museum with a very interesting and rich collection
The exhibitions are all very good. Personally, I would be pleased if the text were made next to the pictures in a larger font. I have to go very close because of my shortsightedness and interfere with other visitors. I also get tired quickly when reading.
Great museum with many interesting artworks. Especially beautiful are the state rooms.
Very interesting exhibitions. I advise you to take an audio guide in Russian, one for two is enough.
Great museum that houses a permanent collection very interesting and varied with works by Pigasso, Chagall and Matisse but what struck me most is the themed exhibition dedicated to Monet that was really detailed in all its artistic phases and that I could appreciate by non-expert art thanks to the audio guide also available in Italian and payable with a small extra charge (4 euros). Certainly recommended museum and very well organized
Even if you are not interested in art, this place is obligatory. The exhibition from Monet to Picasso is a rich collection of masterpieces of world painting. Monet, Dega, Rodin, Picasso ... This is a must see. From September 2019 Durer exhibition that the famous rabbit in the lead role . When it comes to organization, it's the highest level.
Exceptional works and artists in a magnificent Hapsburg residence
A great experience, nice architecture, the galleries are stunning and so are the rooms, they give a true sense of those times and the furniture is wonderfully preserved and put on display.
Great art and gorgeous state rooms. I liked it better than the Hofburg Royal Apartments. You could take pictures here and it was not crowded.
Permanent exposure is very good. Absolutely interesting is the time-varying competition between two artists.
Excellent museum showcase picasso among others very very nice well worth the entry fee
It's easy to get completely absorbed by the wonderful exhibitions in the Albertina. A really wonderful place.
Interesting museum with remarkable periodical exhibitions
First things first - listen to what everybody says and try to buy your tickets online. Otherwise you'll be stuck waiting in the cold outside for at least 10min, and then there's a queue inside. Next, use the lockers downstairs to store your stuff. You just need a 1 euro or 2 euro coin to pull out a key, and you get your money back at the end. The museum itself is phenomenal - go now while they still have the Monet exhibition, which was by far the best part (I spent a whole hour there and that was rushing through it as I had 2 hours before closing). They also have Chagall, Munch, Picasso, and Pirosmani, all of which are spectacular. There's a whole modern art section on the lowest floor. Don't miss Helen Levitt if you're into photography!
A very large art museum. I did not have time to get around it at once (about 3 hours). Therefore, I recommend allocating a whole day to visit it, if the goal is to watch it in full. Here you can see many works that belong to different styles, authors and eras.
Among other things, drawings and some sculptures by Erwin Wurm and sculptures by Walter Schmoegner made of natural materials ... The drawings look amateurish, the sculptures are for the most part funny and shapely. Schmoegner structures interesting. Worth seeing anyway ....
Very high quality. Instead of the main exhibitions a bit crowded. In my opinion there are halls with too little light. The wonders of man!
The first floor was closed and nobody said anything. Still... Monet and Picasso exhibition were wonderfull!
If you have only one museum experience in vienna, this is it.
Worth. The emotion when finding originals by Miguel Angel, Henri Moore and Cartier Bresson, unexpectedly, has been so intense that it has reconciled me with the creation again.
Excellent exhibition of Albrecht Durer in Albertina.
One of the best museums, worldwide! Not just classic but also contemporary!
And even if you are here twice a year, like us, it is never boring, because the exhibition is always redesigned and repackaged. And the "Batliner Collection" is always a treat anyway!
TIP: The many wardrobe boxes in the 1st basement can be used for a deposit of 1 or 2 Euro coins free of charge !! I would like to see that in Rome or Paris!
A fantastic collection of Surrealist art in the 'Monet to Picasso's exhibition. Definitely worth visiting
Nice museum but don't expect the charm of the raffaello at the vatican museums ... nor that of monet at the orsay races .... nice location especially in the wing dedicated to the albertini salons
Excellent collection of selected works, nice atmosphere.
Fantastic building and even better collection of world renowned art in one place very nicely curated. Lovely staff. Only complaint was the crowds but it was fine. Stayed for 2 hours and could have spent another 2 but had to leave due a prior engagement.
Beautiful Museum with varied collection and exhibits. Well worth the visit.
Very nice art museum in the heart of Vienna. The entrance fees are reasonable and not too expensive. The organization of the exhibits in the exhibitions are very good. In addition to old and prominent masters, some of them also have some unknown masters to experience. Parts of the exhibitions change so you can discover something new after one year. Recommended - should more Austrians go in terms of preserving the culture of the West. You can almost always see foreign tourists here ..........
This is a wonderful museum with awesome collections. The price of the tickets are decent. There is a Disabled ticket price, just so you know. And students need to be LESS than 26 years old (25-) for that special price.
My mother was told she could not use her cane to walk in the museum because it had lost the little rubber thingy at the bottom and would scrape the ground. ... I understand... but I wish there was something they could have done to accommodate her.
Wonderful collection. Unlike larger museums it is not overwhelming, particularly for children. It is very good for those with accessibility needs. It is also nicely air conditioned which is convenient since not many places are.
Beautiful museum; both the building and the collections absolutely deserve a visit. A large variety of incredible artists
