I was so disappointed to visit the Albertina only to discover( after paying the expensive admission charge) that the 2 drawings I was mainly there to view :Durer's famous Praying Hands & Hare were
"too precious"to have on show, but that photo-copies were exhibited instead !!!!!!
What an absolute "cop-out".I called for the curator & demanded my money back & said I could view
photo-copies of these works for free back home in London.

You can not come to Vienna and not to visit Albertina! Monet, Picasso, Magritte, Degas, Renoir, Modigliani ... You need to see it with your own eyes! Authentic palace apartments deserve special attention. The price is very low for such a museum - 16 EUR.

Very successful presentation of the exhibited works with informative descriptions in the individual exhibition rooms, which makes the visit without audio guide interesting. The state rooms are really worth seeing. The staff is friendly and helpful. The special events for children are quickly booked up in advance.

There are many famous paintings in permanent exhibitions such as Monet, Cezanne, Chagall, Picasso, Lautrec, etc. It is a floor that you want to take a closer look. On the other hand, I feel that the basement floor has a lot of avant-garde content. The souvenir shop is large, and there is a rich lineup of art books and small items, so you can enjoy choosing souvenirs.

There are many Koreans at night
During my trip to Vienna, I heard the most Korean language here and the Lips of Vienna.

Incredible museum. Renaissance, Classicism, Romantism, modern and contemporary art. Modigliani, Picasso, Brancusi, Kandinsky, Giacometi, Rubens and Van Dyck are only some names of the artists whose masterpieces are exposed all over 3 floors.

Very well organized museum with the various sectors managed per floor (contemporary art, photography, impressionism, expressionism, renaissance, etc.) clean and personal security place very present within the structure.
A small consideration is the somewhat high price since the works, although by highly appreciated artists, are not very many.

I have to admit, I had no idea how broad the spectrum of works of art on display in the Albertina is. Everyone should find something to their liking here.
The old rooms are also very interesting, as is the entire architecture.
And always good to know: there are tons of lockers and the toilet is clean and beautiful. All areas are also accessible for wheelchair users.

The museum's location is easy to access, centre of the town. I think it has five sections which each of them must be seen in details especially the state rooms Hall of muses and wedgwood cabinet were carried me away ....I had a chance to see some pieces of Rubens , Cezanne , Renoir, Chagall my favourite artist-, Nolde , Picasso, Van Gogh ,Degas , Monet..etc collections.Bruegel and Durer's drawings were fascinating .If u're inclined to populer trends , you must see the famous Hare piece. The shop inside the museum has good varieties w affordable prices considering the shops in Wien. I bought a galasses case recalling me its gorgeus atmosphere and feeling like so noble and fancy .... The museum is open on public holidays except on weekends.jyst keep it in mind wednesdays&fridays are open till 9pm you can make a long list while exploring the city on these days ... Much love to all people who contribute , service and do endeavours to make the museum fantastic.

I saw an advertisement on the street and also avoided the heat. I went in and watched it. I saw a fairly satisfactory exhibition for 16 euros. When I went to Monet - Picasso, there were works by other authors.

It is one of the largest and most interesting museums in Vienna. Both the permanent exhibition "from Monet to Picasso" and the changing ones are always impressive.
The admission prices are absolutely fine for this level.

The museum is large and quite interesting. The most beautiful paintings, as for me, were painted by Wootke. The rest of the authors, and there were not a few great artists, mainly exhibited primitivism.

Was on Saturday afternoon with daughter in Raphael exhibition, a lot of people and foreign school groups ... Was bit loud and you couldn't always "step in front of every picture" but no drama!
The exhibition was great, by the way, daughter (almost 18) still raves about it

Wonderful place, architecture inside and out, marvellous Baitliner exhibition; one mistake I noticed in the picture captions: You have named the picture "Junge Frau im Hemd" "Prostituierte" instead... And to any future visitors: if you are able to read, don't mind the 4 audio guides; not very many pictures are described anyway, the ones described have such a long text to listen to that you'll be standing 5min in front of a single painting

A fantastic museum with Habsburgs' history! The apartments are wonderfully detailed and all information is in English. I had a wonderful time strolling around. Tons of art and amazing things to discover and lots of big artists such as Rembrandt and Vermeer. Really wonderful place, a must see!

Very nice monet exhibition but it is absolutely lamentable not to have the catalog in French. French painter, big contribution of marmottan paintings and finally France is once again forgotten.

Various art exhibitions. Rich English explanations. Disorderly in the passage between the rooms and there was a shortage of audio training devices which they had to purchase on the second floor. A little mess and pressure. Don't go on Sundays.

Excellent exhibition with historic and modern photography. Special exhibitions all the time, when I visited there was photography of the pictorialism era as well as modern art of Keith Harrison (and some additional special artists that I cannot recall the name of). Great

Museum of Classical Modernism in a palace at the Hofburg. Often excellent exhibitions, so often overcrowded. Better dodge for times of low visitor. In any case (almost) always worth seeing.
