Awesome exposition I personally loved the impressionism quarter. Albertina should be the goto, if one wants to quickly catch up with art styles as they were introduced throughout the history. The building itself was astounding, and they even handled well the Covid situation.

He wanted us. It was a long time since I visited a museum. Picasso and Manet have been missing for a long time and so is contemporary art.
The museum is perfectly organized and you can take pictures without flash.
You must leave the backpacks in special security lockers. You need a one-euro coin that is returned on exit.

The exhibition and the one that led us through the exhibition was very great. But the woman people watch was exhausting. I had a small rucksack in the shape of a bag, it asked me to carry it in the front, unfortunately it didn't work, so I carried it around like a bag, again it didn't fit. Then my question what bothers you, answer regulation is regulation. This is simply incomprehensible, which made the exhibition very tedious. What I don't understand is why there are no boxes where you can store bags, backpacks

The wide variety of expositions offer a nice half day at the museum. From modern paintings to photography, then architectural drawings you are presented with a lot of options. The restored imperial rooms will let you time travel to the times of the Austrian Hungarian empire and feel like Sissi or Franz Ferdinand. Pro Tip: if you don't want to cue for the wardrobe get a big bag from the souvenir shop for your jackets. Cues can be a bit long here.

Good museum but very warm on the inside in winter. So hang off your clothes if you don't want to sweat to death. If you have a Vienna Pass, you do not have to queue and get ahead, really smoothly. The old rooms were really nice!

Amazing museum with a range of art from Impressionism all the way to post modern pop art. Probably the best curated selection of contemporary art from masters such as cezanne, Monet, etc that shows the birth of Impressionism and the influence it had on the Picasso s of the world. Must visit if you have interest in post modern art

Very interesting museum on 4 floors of various exhibitions (modern and ancients). The building is also very well decorated with statues and candelas. Restaurant and shop are open till late on Wednesday and Friday. 2 ou 3 hours pleasant visit.

The exhibition is done very well and the artworks are beautifully staged so that they come into their own.

I would have given 5 stars, but suffers the security staff is sometimes very rude. We were approached by an employee, because we were apparently too close to the picture to look at the details of Monet's Japanese bridge. My man points to the details but without touching them, after all we know what belongs. The employee of the security but apparently not, that has tarnished the joy of art something.

Very bad.

Very bad.
At the entrance there were two queue: one for people who had bought tickets online and the other for people who had to buy them. The queue without tickets didn't move unless there weren't people in the queue with ticket, we had to wait two hours until we could enter. When entering the hall people in the the ticket queue turned out to not having ticket!!!!
Once entering and buying the tickets you had to pay to a wardrobe.
There were no destacable work, all mediocre but crowded.

A great exhibition! The tour guides are friendly and keep the museum atmosphere pleasantly mild. The variety of exhibits and detailed descriptions make the museum a very aesthetic place! 5/5 stars :-)

A museum that hosts various art exhibitions such as modern art, famous painters such as Picasso, Monet, Klimt. Plus other temporary exhibitions that may be under construction (as it was in my case) so you only thank with permanent exhibitions (of course the ticket price is the same).

One of the best art museums in Europe.

One of the best art museums in Europe.
The permanent exhibition alone is worth the money and can hardly be beaten in terms of class and variation.

The special exhibitions are always fantastic. Art is in the eye of the beholder, but the get-up is remarkable.

Starting with the architecture, ending with the kindness of the staff, the Albertina is a must see in Wien. From the bottom floor with the amazing Modern Art exposition to the top floor with the amazing paintings of legendary names...is been a wonderfull visit and i suggest everyone to take it. Right price, gorgeous structure, even in the royal's room. Top. No doubt about it.

Thanks again to the curly girl at the wardrobe for her help :D

The quality of the pieces in the museum itself are stellar. The Monet exhibit was fantastic and it was worth going just to see that. Nothing else below should detract from the art itself but there were a few things that really rubbed me the wrong way.

The number of people in the museum was comical. The entire time you are pushing through a sea of people to try and move to the next piece. They really need to consider limiting the number of people that can enter or instituting set times on the tickets.

I was also not a huge fan of the forced coat check. They make it mandatory that you check your coat, even if you have a light parka on. To add insult to injury they charge you 1 Euro per person to check the jacket. If its a forced check it shouldn't include an added charge or build it into the ticket price. And make sure you have cash because they don't accept credit in the coat check. Lastly the coat check was in this tight little hallway that ~100 people at a time are trying to cram into. There are no signs, no indication of where you should be going, people are cutting left and right. It's a mess.

Lastly, the entire situation was a logistical nightmare, I think I stood in 4 separate lines to get in and we had pre-ordered tickets so I didn't need to stand in what would have been the 5th ticket purchase line. First you queue to get in, you stand in a line to check your coat, you stand in a line to scan your ticket, then another line to wait to go up the stairs to the first exhibit. I just think the entire station could have been handled better.

Historic imperial palace in the heart of Vienna.
At the time I visited it there was an exhibition of works of art by Monet, Munch, Chagall and Picasso. Certainly worth a visit, recommended.
