ALB Tech Review

We recently had a printer connectivity issue and a tech was dispatched. He was courteous and did his best to problem solve. Unfortunately, his "fix" didn't last more than a couple of days. After a phone call to the office, I was able to speak with both the tech and the owner of ALB. They were anxious to please, came back out and completed everything to our satisfaction. Would work with them again.

I think this may be the first internet review I've ever written but it's seriously, truly deserved. My hard drive crashed around 5pm on Monday while I was mid crunch time on a deadline, and I was very devastated. I dropped my laptop at ALB Tech around 1:30pm the next day and was told the turn around time would probably be a day, which seemed SO reasonable to me as it was. I was prepared to wait at least a week so a day felt like nothing. You can imagine my shock, gratitude and relief when I got a call at 4:43pm that my computer was ready for pick up, same day! (and I was able to get it when I was off work because they stay open til 7:00 on Tuesdays! very cool of them) I think we can all agree that that kind of turn around is almost unheard of and WAY beyond what I would ever expect a repair place to be able to do. So, the actual labor/service provided is definitely top notch, and I could leave it at that. But! I also really need to comment on the level of patience and general human kindness that was shared alongside well explained + straight forward info about my best options going forward with my truly fried hard drive. Shout out to Cindy for the kindness and for really speedy repair work! Richmond is super lucky to have such a killer repair shop! Edit: I also feel that their prices are incredibly reasonable which was an added relief + bonus!

Honest, fair pricing and capable. When the touch screen repaired began acting wonky they adjusted the price downward to compensate. Very responsible and unusual in this world. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

ALB Tech is great. My laptop wouldn't power up. They couldn't get it to work either, but they were able to salvage my hard drive and make it an external drive so I wouldn't lose my data. It did take them a couple of weeks to get back to me after I dropped it off (it was during the holidays), but for the price they charged and free diagnostics, it was well worth it.

AMAZING service, the diagnostic was FREE and I got my laptop back to me within 2 hours of me dropping it off. I thought I was going to have to spend a couple hundred, I spent $25 (I also realize I didn't have to replace any parts but a flat $25 is still amazing). They also cleaned my laptop for me, and they have a cute dog inside. 10/10 go there for any computer issues you have.

I've used ALB Tech several times and found them to be highly knowledgeable, competent, and efficient. Their charges are very reasonable.
Today, Ruben fixed my track pad which had been damaged in a fall. All works fine now. Thanks ALB and Ruben.

The guys were really helpful today when we stopped by. I asked about their services for installing solid state hard drives and they were very fair price. Judging by how fast and efficient they were with cleaning my friends hard drive, I'm definitely going to be coming back to install a solid state in my laptop.

I would never go anyplace else. These fellas have salvaged my i phone, and my laptop. And I don't have to be able to explain to them what is wrong - they just figure it all out.
They are delightful folks to work with and are quick and thorough and astoundingly clever.
Kevin fixed a long list of things on my laptop today, painless quick and pleasant.

ALB Tech is great. I first went to them years ago to get an ipod repaired. They didn't work on the unit, but suggested a GREAT website to get it fixed. Any time you have a business referring you to a better service, it has my attention.

Since then, I have taken multiple family computers to them for repairs. They always diagnose for free, and recommend repairs. Sometimes they recommend not spending the money on a repair. Once again, they turn away business in the best interest of the customer. Stand up business.

I would refer them to anyone in the area. They are fast with diagnosis (I have never had to wait more than a business day to hear from them), and get the repairs done quickly. They also always have cool promotions to save customers.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I was desperate because I had online school assignments due and a completely dead computer. ALB Tech had it fixed by closing time that same day. I've gone to them before for their free diagnostics and they are always so friendly and knowledgeable. It's nice to have a place you feel like you can trust.
