Al Serra Auto Plaza Review

My husband and I recently made the trek from Grand Rapids to Grand Blanc in search of a Kia Sorento. Al Serra had several listed at great prices. When we arrived we were greeted by Pete Staib. I liked him immediately; far from the typical 'used car salesman', he was laid back, honest and genuinely wanted to help us find the perfect car. Pete took his time showing us many Sorentos that fit our guidelines and budget. We never felt rushed or pressured. After we made our choice, the financing consultant did a fine job helping us with the loan as well as an extended warranty at a great price. Two of the tires were low on tread and Pete offered to replace them. I will add that the service department was FAR from awesome. They kept us there an additional hour and a half just to realize they didnt have the tires in stock. Since we lived so far away, Pete gave us the alternative of having them replaced back home and they would reimburse us. With nothing in writing, of course you cant help but worry a tad, but sure enough, 4 days later, I have a check in hand from Al Serra. We cant say enough great things about Pete Staib and the excellence he showed. Wish Al Serra was closer so we could recommend him to more people.

Decent deals on new car purchases. Wouldn't recommend the service department. Said they needed 3hrs and over $300 to complete a simple service I had done elsewhere for $110 in one hour. :/ Do they all have to work from a single toolbox or something?

Bought my truck here! Amazing service. I've used the body shop twice, again great service. I've had all routine maintenance done at Al Serra, great service and awesome staff.

Chris Salter at Al Serra has been so great to work with. Just purchased my third vehicle from him and I will never go to anyone else. He fights to get you what you deserve and just all around goes above and beyond!

Was trading in my lease and looking to buy 1 of 2 trucks they had. Called to inquire before heading there but salesman seemed to have little interest. Price looked favorable but based on call, bought from another dealer.

My husband and I went to David Garr on the recommendation of our son in law. We found him to be knowledgeable, helpful and kind. After purchasing a vehicle from him we had trouble with one of the tires. He had us bring it in and they took care of it without any cost to us and apologies. This young man cares about your experience and we will definitely be going to him in the future.

I came into here for an oil change they say it will only take 45 minutes but it has been about 2 hours and i did have a meeting to go to but now i have to cancel because of there false accusations.

Had a great experience with Gregg at Al Serra. Was making this deal remotely, and he was so helpful with mailing agreements and getting me the forms I needed. Got a great deal on my vehicle, too.

He was friendly, helpful and went out of his way to help us find the vehicle we wanted. There was no pressure to take something we didn't want. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a vehicle.

My car had been at there lot for a week no one has looked at it for a trade and I talked to 3 salesman's and 2 managers. I will never go back

Very good service if you have a problem with there service talk to service manager and try to work things out. Don't leave upset they will work with you to make things right.

Grand son bought car 5 hours later caught fire what kind of dealership sells junk car ? Saginaw store make this right Serra.

Asks for Tom Drudi for a great sales rep! Tell him I sent you. They have really good offers for leases and will work to get the best car you want. Got a 2017 terrain for 108 dollars a month.
Oils changes and tire rotations are usually free for a bit or for the life of the lease. Just ask to get free ones. Even if you didn't buy the car from there go online and make an appointment and they will quickly change the oil for cheaper than the other quick shops.

Love it, just bought a late model suv there. Caught the bus in but drove home.

Made car buying easy and enjoyable would recommend then to anyone in need of a car. They worked very hard to get me into the car I was wanting regardless the obstacles to get me there. Great dealership better people would give six stars if it would let me!

I have worked with Adam for months trying to get out of my wrangler lease. Consistently asking him about numbers and monthly payments so I could find a price range that would suit my budget. Adam was always looking for the best options for me and was extremely honest which is hard to find in this industry. Finally, I found the car that best fit all of my wants and needs as well as fit in my budget. I went in and test drove a couple vehicles on a Saturday and it was ready to be picked up by Tuesday evening. I couldn t ask for a more honest and knowledgeable salesman as well as the great staff that worked behind the scenes at Al Serra!

Three stars because not only did it take them 2 1/2 hours to do an LOF, tire rotation and balance, but I had to double back because they forgot to give back my lug bolt key. I really don't think it should take that long for such standard maintenance items. They were friendly and nice, but that's a bit long for what the scheduled service entailed.

Kyle was very helpful and honest throughout the process of buying our vehicle. He was quick in all responses and took care of everything as fast as he could. He was never pushy and made us feel very comfortable throughout the whole process. His honest, genuine, and personable but professional demeanor made our experience excellent.

Cruz is great! He took the time to help me, even though I did not have an appt. He made sure I was able to leave the dealership with my car that day, and it was a Saturday! I highly recommend Cruz Pettigrew to anyone looking for a vehicle.

Needed a new hood and paint job due to past $500 hood and paint repair job per Al Serra Body Shop. Cost $1,000 and looked AWFUL ,BUBBLES AND OVERSPRAY left at shop for a redo two days later better than before . My key fob was working and intact when I dropped the car for the work but was missing the circuit board when I got the car back. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BODY SHOP .NO PRIDE IN WORK.WHERE IS THE CIRCUIT BOARD TO MY KEY FOB.MANAGER SHOULD BE MORE AWARE OF WHAT IS GOING ON.

Be prepared to stay a while, then come back so they can fix whatever they screwed up. An oil change takes at least an hour (more than 3 hours twice) and they will forget to plug things back in like interior lights, traction control and then they will act like they re doing you a favor by fixing their screw ups, we ll fix it for free , I hope so you did it. As far as the dealership, yeah they sell cars but steer clear of the service department.

One star because the service advisors are very kind but they had my car for almost 3 weeks & I received maybe 2 phone calls in that 3 weeks to let me know what was going on. I'd call, leave voicemails & not receive a phone call back. Very unprofessional and will be seeking out a different Volkswagen dealership based solely on that. You have my vehicle, I'd like to know what's going on. Even if its nothing- updates are nice & show the customer you care.

I will buy every single vehicle I own from Frank Foster at Al Serra Auto Plaza. I have no qualms about sending my friends and family to him and have done so several times. We ve all left happy and well taken care of. The atmosphere is fun, and everyone there is friendly and willing to help. When you feel like you can freely send your 18 year old son to them on his own, you know you ve got a salesperson and dealer you can trust.

Jennifer Odglen has handled many of mine & my family's vehicle purchases and we have all been very happy with the level of service & friendliness that she & the Al Serra staff consistently supply. I have referred many friends as well because I know they will be happy not only in working with Jennifer, but with the vast selection of vehicles to choose from all in one place.

Every time I try to venture away from this place I always end up coming back to lease my personal vehicles here. Their no haggle service seems to beat all (most days). They are professional and convenient. They have most type of vehicles on one site. I have had some long wait times with their service departments before. I would consider less busy dealers for service. Applegate in Flint was very fast for me.

They helped me get my key fob together wen I got my new car ( PB START ) REMOTE

As always, Glenn knows what he's doing, he explains the options clearly, there's zero pressure, and we go back to him (and Al Serra) because he's the one we want to work with for all vehicles we buy or lease. Period.

Great experience! It's nice to not have to dicker to get a fair price on a used vehicle, unlike other dealerships. My sales person, Jim Dallas made it easy to find the right vehicle for me. He made sure that I was comfortable with all the "buttons and switches" before I left the dealership. Also, when I got home with my Silverado, the center cover on one wheel was missing. Jim got me a new one right away, no questions asked!

We recently visited the Honda and Subaru dealerships. We settled on a 2020 Subaru. Friendly salesman. However, how is it that you do not have any outdoor stations to facilitate the sale of vehicles? We waited outside with nowhere to sit and no shade? We ended up waiting in our vehicle and signed paperwork there as well. No picnic tables, no umbrellas to escape the sun. This has been going on for months, how have you not resolved this yet?

Experience is good I ask for Service Person that I always had from years ago.

Mr. Jaquez will get things right the first time and the shop messes up he will works his tail off to correct the problem.

You need more people working for you like that and then keep them happy.

Al Serra has a great selection of new and used vehicles. Their associates are patient and very helpful in finding something that works for what you're looking for. They don't surprise you with extra fees when calculating your 'out-the-door' price like I came across at some other dealerships. They even delivered my car (an hour away) since I couldn't drive it home the day I signed the purchase agreement. I would absolutely recommend using Al Serra and I most definitely won't waste so much time looking at other dealerships in the future. Shout out to my salesman Greg Serges, Thank you!!

I had two recalls on my 2019 Silverado. I had an appointment at 8 am. Service Advisor was very friendly and helpful. Truck was set to be completed by 1 pm. I picked it up around 11 am. Thanks for the great service.

Scott Good is the most considerate, capable, efficient and kind salesman I have ever worked with. He could easily teach a class on salesmanship and customer relations as a part of any business management course. Above and beyond doesn't come close. I give him 10 out of 10 rating any day!

As always, they are very respectful, kind and professional. I am treated well, they explain everything they will do on my service and what the cost will be. I have no problems with Al Serra and will buy my cars from them in the future. My only issue is they are VERY expensive for routine maintenance on my VW Passat. Routine maintenance for 40,000 miles will be close to $900. That I cannot afford, and, unfortunately, will not be utilizing them for this service. A local dealership will perform the same services for half that cost.

For car sales, it was the best experience I ever had when purchasing a new vehicle. No pressure, no hype. They said my car would be ready on a certain date and it was.

I give them 5 out of 5 stars on sales and service, but 2 out of 5 stars on maintenance costs.

I had an amazing experience here. I walked in, knew exactly what I was looking for, and didn t get pressured into anything. Within 15 minutes I drove the car I ended up purchasing and already knew my approval. Scott was amazing and efficient, and I picked up my car the next day. Would definitely recommend this place! My car buying experience went well. Tom Muldoon was my Salesman and he was great! Tom was not pushy and he showed me several cars before I decided on buying the right car for me. I actually told Tom that the only thing I didn t like about the car was the tires. Before picking up the car Tom talked with the Sales Manager and was able to get the tires replaced. He definitely earned my future business!

Had this crazy wobble that just started couldn't figure it out. Took truck in found a bad tire on the right rear. Needed tires soon anyways so got them to fix it and now this 11 Big Horn drives like a new used truck!
