Al Pallidini Community Center Review

Great location for a community centre. They have ice rinks, swimming pools, basketball courts and a full gym which includes squash courts. They also have a running track above one of their skating rinks. All they needs to do is lower their membership fees to be competitive with other gyms. (Anytime Fitness as an example)

I came here a few times to take a break here after biking around in Woodbridge. Nice place to take a break because you can lock your bike and chill in the community centre.

Love this community centre. A reminder to Torontonians that even an "average" installation is much bigger, nicer and cleaner than anything you'll find elsewhere in Canada.

Great location adjacent to public library. Lots of parking spaces. Wheelchair accessible building. It has swimming pool, hockey rink, basketball court on the second floor. It also has spaces/rooms for various programs.

Lots of parking, friendly staff, nice gym, indoor pool, indoor hockey arena, indoor running, a good place to come with family on the weekend to the pool, ramp for wheel chairs, elevator, summer camps and so much more.

Nice facilities, use mainly the pool which is in a good shape and doesn't get too busy. However the pool can be cleaned more frequently. Sometimes you can see the Band-Aids and other debris in water

Family changing room helps me when I take my daughters swimming.

Well sized arena with 2 full sized rinks. Spacious and well lit with a viewing area and a track. Built to serve all types of skaters from the recreational skater to full fledged hockey player. Enjoy this inviting rink.

i love this place! the gym and the kids programming! its awesome! our kids grew up here...we did the preschool program and both of our kids left knowing their entire alphabet in english and french as well as counting to twenty and could even read a few words, write their names and read them. miss irene is amazing! and in the child care they were great! suzie and irene and the rest of the girls! and art! love them all!!!! the gym is a family. best place in woodbridge! it truly is a "community" could use some updating of the facility otherwise its great! gym staff rocks! desk staff is amazing!

Well equipped gym, clean and organized. Some of the late afternoon patrons need to put the their weights back and pick up their towelettes. I go in the morning, no issues!

A quality hockey arena, with large stands and large dressing rooms.

I find the place dated and not very clean. Washrooms in the ice rink are disgusting and broken.

We have played like 500 games here. Rooms are good size. The two pads have great ice. It is keep fairly clean. Showers are clean. New seats on stands make for a good view. Poor visuals from the heated room, Not a bad place to watch your kid play

Facilites are pretty old. Staff is always kind and welcoming and I do frequently enjoy using the swimming pool. Room for improvement.

Great pool for families (went during recreational swim time). Friendly staff and life guards that run activities for kids (slides, Tarzan rope etc). Lots of toys and swimming accessories around. Water in the pool is relatively warm. But there's is also a nice hot tub to warm up in before leaving. Overall fun and organized place.

The best swimming pool in vaughan, only thing is you have to take your member's card down to swimming pool to come back up, which is not good, other than that fitness machines are not many, but they are good, last thing to mention is that, its really far from city, awesome staff, everything else is wonderful.....

Take my girls to skating classes....half an hour is too short....it should be 45 mins to 1 hour so they have the chance to help everyone to learn. Sometimes there are too many kids for one instructor

Alwaye have maintenance problem.
Elevator have problem for 3 weeks and no action. Old seniors and peple with disability and parents with kids and stroller have problen and could not go to secound floor.
Just making mony is important there.

The guy who runs the adult basketball program kirk does a great job every Monday night..

Just stopped here to use the washroom. They - and the rest of the place - looked neat and clean.

I take my daughter there for skating. AL paladin has the arena open till May but not for recreational. They have unsupervised hours during the day which kids are at school. So not good for us.
Swimming pool is a little cold for my taste so I do kit go there.

The overhead heating in the seating/viewing area never works. By far the coldest arena in Vaughan

Very good community centre with ice rinks, swimming pool, workout gym, meeting rooms and gym. It also has a childcare centre.

Well... I have a lot to say about Al Palladini. Let s just get this straightened out though... you may ask, why is this person rating this amazing community center one star?! I have a large reasoning for that. This community centre is actually pretty amazing... but the swimming department really threw me off. I am a 14 year old girl. I am still taking lessons because I stopped for a few years. I returned back two years ago... NEVER had a problem. I was called a gifted swimmer by many of my instructors which gives me non-stop inspiration. This season (fall) I started a new level. It was going pretty good! Here s where it starts... to be honest, I have never been a fan of the young adults who supervise the pool. They scream at everyone. This new one though... OH BOY! She told my mother things about me behind me back. WELL LISTEN! Told my mother that I was disrespectful and had an attitude... I promise you, I am not perfect. But if anything, I m the most caring and sweet person you could ever meet, and it truly did upset me when she said that. This lady has shown me, and many others rude actions and disrespect! And she comes at me? Also! Don t treat your volunteers to act ARROGANT. They are my age, and feel that they can tell me whatever they want and BRAG. There has only been about 2 lovely volunteers who I have had... I think one of them was named Isabella... I honestly can t remember. But she was great! The others are all UNHUMBLE show offs to me. This girl who watches the deck is far from being nice. Very immature and unprofessional... blows my mind. She FAILED me. She only passed 3/10 people in the class! Wanna know why? My swimming teacher was not there on the last class. And she had the power to change my mark! She made me FAIL when I was told that I had a high chance of passing. She also embarrassed me in front of people at the pool! I was holding back tears that I felt almost collide down my cheek and blushed in pain. I will NEVER come back to this pool. I hope this girl grows up and maybe steps down from her role. Because she obviously doesn t know how to hand things. Sorry... didn t come here to hate. I came here to express my anger. She made me feel worthless and unconfident. STAY AWAY FROM THIS POOL. ONE BAD STAFF MEMBER CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING. AFFECTS YOUR MOTIVATION... made me quit swimming when I came so far. Sorry.
