I would give them 6 stars if it was an option. Very authentic middle eastern food. Great staff. Very delicious food. Going as a group? Try their feast plate. And ask about the fresh juices.

I just found my favorite kabobs in Chicago land. Great portions. Well seasoned and tender. Loved the chicken and cheese pita apps as well. The only problem was that the stuffed grape leaves and shwarma were just a little better than average. But I will be back as those chicken kabobs were outstanding.

Rude staff, dirty place, flys on your table and even on your food, dirty glasses and dishes, very bad food and has nothing to do with authentic midle eastern cosine, food is almost tastless; very small portions for the money they charge. Went there twice and will never go there again. I do not recommend under any circumstances. Took some friends there to try middle eastern food and was embarrassed like I never was. The rudeness and unprofessionalism of the staff and waitresses is very clear. Looks like they just want to take your money when you walk in and then ask you yo leave without serving you anything. The whole place is dirty and food is tastless and dirty; I would not eat there for free

1 of the best Middle Eastern restaurants around. This is going to be a future go to place for great, authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. Had the mixed grill platter. Also for appetizers Hummus, baba ganesh & grape leaves. The coffee is amazing & are always going around to refill it. They even ask you while you wait if you want coffee. Pita bread is fresh. The seasonings in the rices & meats are some of the best flavored I've had & most certainly the best on the south side. Bottom line, if you want to have an authentic & delicious meal, then Al Bawadi Grill is the go to spot.

Been there yesterday for the Ramadan Buffet. First day of Ramadan and was my wife's Birthday to celebrate turned out to be a DISASTER.

It is a RIP OFF. PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE FOR THE "RAMADAN BUFFET".

Even after making a reservation they gave us a place where there was no light( lights removed from above) and also no Air Condition, was hot like hell.

Charged $19.99 per person + taxes + gratuity( almost $25.00/person).

No dates placed on our table to help break fast. Buffet Food was cold especially the kebabs, after first round there were no lamb kebabs only cold and tasteless chicken kebabs. Only curries with veges and some meat in it. Soup was cold and not the traditional Arabic soup. The had boiled lamb with no spices and was tasteless very bad taste. Person trying to fill your plate with grape leaf stuffed rice so you eat less of meat.
Asked for additional can of coke and nobody wants to bring it and the server was very rude in saying you get only one can of coke per person.(This is a buffet hellooooo)
Also the desert they bring in small plate they bought only 2 when we are 4 and was no baklava only some pudding and old sweet puries, tasteless and not good.

Charged 2 adults and 2 children( 10 and 12) also as adults and we paid $96.00 total and trust me ate food worth maybe only max $40.00

Person trying to charge our 2 1/2 year old daughter who did not eat anything as child trying to get additional $15.00.

PURE RIP OFF, DO NOT GO AGAIN DO NOT GO FOR RAMADAN BUFFET.

Overall this restaurant is one of the best in the Bridgeview area or maybe the top rated on number 1 in Chicago. I've noticed that with any restaurants if you need or expecting a great service then go during less busiest hours. Now there prices of their menu is quite outrageous.

One last thing about their bathroom is there water pressure runs too slow and also it's very freezing cold water. They need to fix that problem. At least have warm water in the bathroom. Last time I was there, they finally fixed it .

One of the best in town! Worth the drive. Fresh grilled meats to order. Superb salads, decadent dessert!! Friendly wait staff. Ample parking and easy to get to.

It gets really crowded on the weekends, expect to wait 40 minutes or more.

The fresh kenafa is amazing! Definitely try that with some hot tea or coffee!

Love the food here and the small business caring for the customers.

Seems as though the take out is taking over the dinning room though. Wish it wasnt such a disturbance when you dine in.

The food is amazing. Love it when we get recommendations from the staff!

This Restaurant is hands down THE BEST Middle-Eastern restaurant in the country. All of the meat is wood fired giving it an amazing taste. The portions are extremely generous and the servers are very attentive. This is the only place I choose to bring my friends and family.

Job Well Done

I've been a customer for years but today I am very disappointed. I called their number at 11pm when they close at 12am thinking i would be able to place an order. I was on hold for 40 min and by the i got here they told me thier knenfeh station was closed. When I asked the waiter are your phones working she just said "I guess not". She was very aggressive and gave us an attitude. Wont be coming back here anytime soon.

AUTHENTIC. Just like my grandma's cooking, which is one of the best compliments I can give. Being originally from Michigan, now living on the west coast, delicious authentic, home-cooked Arabic food is something I've been missing. Although I'm just here visiting my sister, I'm definitely going to make this a regular stop every time I'm in town.

WHAT WE ORDERED:
- Al Bawadi Appetizer Sampler Platter
- Fried Kibbeh
- Fatoush Salad
- Chicken Shawerma
- Al Bawadi Mixed Grill
- Chopped Arabic Salad
- Kanafeh

PROS
- Mohammed the manager is extremely kind, professional and knowledgeable. We absolutely loved having him educate and guide us through our dining experience
- The food was top notch!
- Service from everyone was perfection
- Kanafeh station in the middle of the place

CONS
- A little far from my sisters place, wish it was closer because it's SO great!
- Garlic paste has eggs in it, which is not be suitable for vegans.

Overall, fantastic experience and I would highly recommend this place to everybody. Although there are a ton of other Arabic restaurants close by, take it from me skip the rest and dine here. You'll thank me later.

I live in the ME and I go frequently to Arab restaurants, so it is a big deal for me to state that the food served in Al Bawadi Grill was the best ME food I ever had; and the service was great too.
Will definitely go there again.

My favorite Mediterranean restaurant. There are Mediterranean restaurants close to me in Hyde Park but the food is not as good as Al Bawadi so I travel for them. Great service. Reasonably priced. Good size portions.

Great food and a lot of food to choose from nice employees that dress Arab style a lot know Arabic so it is easy if you don't know English to talk to them and you get a lot of of food on 1 plate and the restaurant is pretty clean
