The absolute best food! Outstanding staff and food!

Very expensive. Waiting. Construction out side. No place for handicap. Noisy.

Food = 5 stars - tasty, well prepared and a great variety of choices, and I am not a big fan of mediterranean as a cuisine, but sometimes feel a craving for it. Today was one of those days and they would have received 5 stars from me, except for the fact that I nearly starved to death waiting for it. My order said 45 minutes until pick up. I sent one of my teammates to pick it up after 55 minutes giving them a 10 minute leeway.... well... after she got there they couldn't find the order and then she ended up waiting another 35 minutes for the order.... I am not sure if they were hunting the chickens in the back or importing rice from overseas, but an hour and a half is a bit ridiculous, if I was sitting there for a meal I would have had to walk out during lunch due to my time being completely disregarded.... I am a reasonable person though so food is fantastic but don't order if you don't have time to waste cause you will be on ice for a while...

I've been there once while pregnant and I felt in love then after years I came back and I celebrated my birthday just recently.. Everyone like it the food was awesome the stuff was good . They do care no matter if u are arbic or Latina or white .

Great atmosphere, food was some, portions are plentiful and you'll have left overs. The mint lemonade was exceptional. We were celebrating a birthday however not allowed to serve cake we brought from a bakery just wish i knew beforehand, should be posted on their website.

Everything tastes fresh, exquisitely prepared and VIVID. Like going from bland bbq or steakhouse fare that all tastes the same to 3D HD color! The staff was kind and generous and I ended up having an epic meal with a weekend's worth of leftovers- I mentioned it to the proprietor of a Persian Rug Gallery in Burr Ridge and he laughed and said it is his wife's and his favorite.

Huge portions,great service, delicious Middle Eastern food. Best falafel I ve had in a long time!

Oh my goodness! There is so much I can say about this amazing spot. First off, the decor is awesome. You feel transported to another place. The food is delicious! I have tried their mixed kebab grill and their oh so amazing lamb chops. When you go you must try their mint lemonade, hummus and this flavorful potato garlic dip called muthawama. It will change your life.

Halal food ,nice people, fast service, you feel like your in Jordan or Palestine!

Best middle eastern restaurant in town love the food and service

Their food is absolutely delicious(definitely 5 stars). They get a four star because their service sucks. I never know who to talk to because I don't know who my waiter is. Too many workers.

Hands down the best I've had from ANYWHERE. It can sometimes take awhile to get your food so call in advance, but it is always worth the wait. The staff is always kind, the entire menu is amazing. Seriously if you're reading this you gotta try their food, you will not be disappointed!

I got a chubby server with glasses, worst server ever treated us like dirt. Will never go there ever will not recommend. across street there was a smaller joint welcomed us with smiles great atmosphere and good food.told a group of friends about it they loved it too

A great hospitality Great management food is beyond explanation they are busy it s so worth it and God bless them I highly recommend to go and experience the Middle Eastern hospitality and The amazing food and don t forget to ask for the desert kenafa

Absolutely delicious food! Worth a drive of an hour or even more over to get some authentic cuisine. I was a little thrown by the security guard at the front door which I think they could be a little more discrete about but none the less after the initial scare the food was outstanding!

Great dining in traditional middle eastern restaurant. It was crowded at time of our visit but we were able to wait for our table inside the restaurant. The food was good even if I personally didn t really like the Fish Siadea. Their Kunafe was 4/5.

I'm overwhelmed. There should be a Al Bawadi in every town. Great Fresh Food, menu had just the right mix. Bravo.

We enjoyed out visit here during our Wedding Anniversary dinner. The ambiance is perfect, authenticity of the place felt like we re in middle east, from the decor, lighting and staff outfit, the gentlemen by the door and the one going around giving coffee added flare to this establishment. Our server was very accommodating as we mentioned it was our first time. Food came and it was delicious! I wish the rice could have been warmer tho, it was a bit cold by the time it arrived. The hummus and baba ganoush was amazing from the first bite! You can tell it s home made and fresh! We all enjoyed our meal. Only negative part of our night was when our server made a mistake in punching in the right amount when we paid our bill and when multiple cancel was attempted, my husband s credit card was declined. But we called the bank since the transaction showed up in his statement asap. We have to make sure that we did not got charge twice before we give another card again. It was eventually reversed and got settled. Overall, we had a good time and enjoyed our meal and plan to ho back again in the future.

When there is talk about Mediterranean food in Chicago, there is no better option than Al Bawadi . Only thing I would like to suggest don t just walk in try to book your place in advance other it can be very long wait time.

The wait is long but man, it's worth it! The staff is courteous and friendly and you get big portions! Be ready to go with an empty stomach or you will have leftovers for the next day. For me, that's a win-win situation!

First time stop by ,the food actually was disappointed , ordered a a lot and difrent dishes with out flavors at all, sad to spend my money in this Restaurant , the only and one Mediterranean restaurant recommended is (Fattoush ) . Not Recommend it

Absolutely delicious! Not the best shawarma I've ever had but still very tasty. Always ordered to go but have plans to one day actually eat inside as it's a pretty interesting atmosphere.

Update: I finally ate inside and it was SOOOOO MUCH BETTER than to go. Absolutely delicious!!! The atmosphere is really great on the one side of the restaraunt. I wish both sides looked the same.

Amazing food with great authentic Jordanian service. If u want a great experience, Al Bawadi is the place. Food is to die for. Their kunafah, not so good at all.

This is the best grill food ever. Also, the staffers were very pally. I recommend to visit it.

Exotic ambience, good food, even the rice is flavorful. Don't forget to try the free Arabic coffee, and order the Kenafa with ice cream for dessert

Good place to have your lunch or dinner. But the management should pay attention to the flies. Flies all over, flying around and infecting your food.

Been here many times over the past 5 years and the food has consistently been great with a few exceptions. The kunefe & fresh juices are amazing!

I rarely leave a review, but for albawadi restaurant I must, first time tried this jewel and I was so impressed, the decor is absolutely top notch reflecting the traditional middle eastern architecture, the food so perfectly done that I can not find one negative thing to say , the service on point and the prices worth the fresh ingredients used to perfectly create the traditional dishes, the restaurant is so clean and everyone has a smile from the moment you walk in to the time you leave,

Food is great. Management is good but servers need training. Some of them are rude n disorganized.

The food is amazing here. The mixed grill and the chicken shawarma wrap are my favorite on the menu.

Great Food, but if you're looking for good customer service you might as well go to Micky D's. I came in with my family and mind you i am LATINO and they treated us like we were nothing. Giving us their attention for maybe a total of 40seconds the entire night (including food order). They never came by to see if we needed refills or asked if we wanted desert. Basically made us feel so uncomfortable that i regret spending a penny towards this inconsiderate, unappreciative IGNORANT COMPANY. MY MONEY IS JUST AS GOOD! Trust and believe there's hundreds of better restaurants then this place. Dont go in there unless you are planning to stare at your waiter/waitress walk back and forth with out even a hi.

Best I mean BEST hummus in town. Very good food. Their lemonade with mint is amazing. Oh and dont forget the coffee.... omg!!! So good. The staff is dressed in middle eastern clothing and the greeter is always very cheerful.
