Al Bawadi Grill Review

6:30 PM on a Sunday night and there is a 30 minute wait, because the food is that good! Excellent selection of AUTHENTIC Middel Eastern food. Hands down the best place to go on the south side for this cusiean. Great atmosphere, excellent service, fantastic food. I couldn't ask for more.

They used to be top rate , now their quality of food and service has gone down . We order chicken swarms and they gave us end pieces looks like ground chicken

Authentic Middle Eastern food in a clean and friendly environment. The appetizers are fresh and taste amazing- especially the hummus, which is made in the authentic way. The kebab and the rice are amazing. You have got to try the kunafa, it s excellent. Everything is very high quality and I would highly recommend!

The best middle eastern restaurant in Illinois Chicago area. The atmosphere is relaxing, the decor is middle eastern bedwin style which adds to the experience , the flavors are authentic to the middle eatern way and all the dishes taste great , the grilled menu is especially good, their Knafah (for dessert) is a must. Grab a cup of coffee beforr you start and after you finish your meal.

They will seat you first if you speak Arabic. They were seating people who came after us. They finally did after an hour and right before we were to walk out.

Go to Noon o Kabab on the north side Chicago instead.

If you are traveling more than 10, than your waisting your time.

My favorite restaurant in Chicago ... worth driving from Madison Wi just to eat their yummy food ... it is always busy because I usually go in the weekends but it worth the 45 min wait

Great food but the front staff can be very rude. Multiple times I have ordered ahead of time and they never have it ready. Their front staff doesn t speak the best English so if they mess up on your order you still gotta buy it or pay for another dish.

My work family of 9 came for dinner and it was one phenomenal night. From the warm welcome to The exceptional service, food was beyond expectations.

Essa hosted us, what a guy. He made sure we all are well served. Very polite and keeping a detailed eye of our needs during our time there.

Without a doubt some of the best Arab food in Illinois if not USA. They have a great team all around. The people are extremely hospitable, serve you well, and make sure everything is to your satisfaction. Everyone from top to bottom are well mannered and want you to enjoy your time. The food is excellent and portions are very generous. Drinks are amazing and they have a wide variety of dishes/desserts. The food is authentic and fresh. I highly highly highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in Illinois and to those who visit. 5 star rating easy. You will not regret coming here ever.

pricey place, food doesn't worth that high pill that I paid for, tip +service it's automatically charged, if you want to spend a lots of money to pay for one meal go for it, but I don't recommend at all, I spend about $300 for one meal.

Noureddin was wonderful. Having an employee such as him is an asset. He was very kind, polite, and quick on his feet. The food was wonderful. If you re ever in Chicago and are looking for a Middle East restaurant, go to Al Bawadi. Great service, clean and very beautiful restaurant, great food. The owner is lucky to have Noureddin working there! I would love to give 10 stars but the most google allows is 5 stars.

Tried this place because of a friend, service was not that great, except when we left they opened door for us. Waiter was too aggressive and not attentive enough, even though they were constantly running around us. We were given silverware for 2 instead of 3, 2 cups instead of three. When we asked for extra cup waiter told us to wait, we asked different waiter and got our water. Beef was going bad, gave all of us bad gas. Rice was great, nan was great. Chicken was ok. Would not recommend.

Well, there's so much to talk about this restaurant. I can not single out one thing from the menu. Everything is so delicious making your taste buds wanting for more.

Heard a lot about this place but food wasn't impressive. I have eaten Arabic foods all over the USA and Canada. So know very well the taste of it. Fatoush, Garlic sauce and Hummus was too sour. There was some kind of smell in the lamb chops. Kabab teste was just so so. Too much rice with not enough meat portion.

I really don't know how to start but they serve me moldy bread and that tells me One thing the chef doesn't give a F*** about the food, and the worst part Comes up I asked to talk to the manager or talk to the chef nobody showed except the check showed up . I hope somebody from the restaurant read this or see the photo and fix it

I visited this place years ago and it was one of the best Arabic restaurants there is, but after a recent visit on 03/2018 they ruined my expectation of them as well as it was expensive for food that wasn't that good! Plus staff got to work on the attitude a little.

Great great place, go in there for some authentic middle eastern food and amazing home made knafa, I've been there a few times, they grill over hot coals, great rice. Last time I was in there I went in for breakfast, great great breakfast and some hot mint tea and we saw them making the sweets live. go in there you'll love it

The restaurant is good ....waitresses and waiters very nice .... food is awesome but the only thing bug me and really annoying the heck out of me which is the guy with the coffee on purpose he was ignoring me why I have no idea he kept going to the tables next me and give them more coffee it s not I am desperate for his coffee but it was very disrespectful If from him to do such a thing it s not like I just got in barest spend 10 or 20 or $30 or $50 I spend way more than that but for this guy to disrespect me and my family like that it was really annoying !!!!!
It was two steps between me and other table he kept going to them offering him more coffee ham and the (ladies ) sitting with him on the table!!!

Again it s not about the coffee it s about the principle the way the guy he treat me with my family not even look at us .....I have to ask him for a cup of coffee which after I asked him for it I said to myself I should not asked him Because I think he gave it to me without any respect !!!!

Terrible! I arrived with my children to pick up a good meal for the first time here and asked for the vegetarian platter. I went home ready to enjoy and only had vegetables and rice. Which is not what I ordered. Apparently they have a veggie kabob and they failed to inform about and that s what they gave me. My kids were ready to eat so of course I left the rice since they did not want the grilled vegetables when I left to clarify what they did wrong. My kids wanted the hummus and falafel with rice, I wanted the grape leaves. I asked the lady (Kalid was the name on the receipt 2019-07-31, 7:43 pm) about and all she said was sorry, and asked if I had the food. I drove 20 minutes to get here! My kids were hungry! Of course I don t have the food! No replacement, no coupon, nothing to make sure a soon to be loyal customer would come back. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Almost as if they did not care about someone else. I hope they never have to go through what I went through because it is a horrible feeling to get treated the way I was treated. On top of all of that, they overcharged me! Then said it would take three days to get my money back. I m happy I kept my receipt to make sure they do not scam me again. If they do, you better believe I ll be reporting to my bank, their bank, the media, the BBB, and the town of Bridgeview.

Edit: They blamed me for their mistake when I specifically pointed out what I wanted. She even had the nerve to ask what I pointed at. Do they not ask the customer what they ordered to make sure??? Never again. I ll be going across the street next time to the much more customer friendly restaurant!

One of the best Mediterranean food on the Southside probably in all of Chicago

The food here is great and never short of excellent. The food quality is always consistent. However another thing that is consistent is the passisve aggressive almost rude attitude that you get when you call in to place an order.

But the experience in house is always great and comforting. It's just over the phone.

Food is very good, but I prefer my meat cooked rarer than they typically prepare it, especially the kufta.

I was so happy with this one they were welcoming . I felt just like home clean and the food was delicious. We drove for an hour to try it out and it worth it

Food was great but if ur a woman lol wearing a short dress is not a good idea because it makes u feel uncomfortable since there are a lot of men and most women are Muslim and are covered up.

Very over crowded no social distancing at all. Some people had no masks coming in and nothing was said to them so we left we didn't eat.

We stopped by for dinner, and were absolutely delighted with the food. We had their large mixed meat platter and it was delicious and done to perfection! Mariam helped us a lot and made us enjoy our time at the restaurant. We will definitely come back again.
