The kotthu on the first occasion was fresh and really tasty. Even the cappuccino was nice. But on the 2nd occasion, the take away koththu was stale and didnt taste as good. I guess it is a thing with take away food

Very cute spot to eat. It was holiday so staff was running around like crazy and felt a bit short and rude. They completely ignored our request for wifi. The food, however, was very delicious. The string dish with curry was very tasty.

Great restaurant. The food was tasty, but not so much that it really filled you up. On the other hand, it is affordable in terms of price. We paid 35 for 4 main meals + drinks and desserts. Cash can only be paid.

A place worth recommending. Delicious and cheap cocktails made of fresh fruit, on the balcony a great view of the lion rock sigirya in the background. Friendly service and delicious meals at good prices. I highly recommend fish curry and delicious roti.

Small basic restaurant (and guesthouses) on the main road to Sigiriya's rocks (Lion's and Pidurangala's), whose entries could be also easily reached by walk.

We stopped by only for a quick afternoon snack.
Sandwiches are simple but good. Cheap prices.

More than once, we saw it full at dinner time.

We stayed at Anushka Nera Nature House and this restaurant is run by the same owner so we came down to try it out. It's run by Nera's wife and daughter (who is called Ahinsa).

Nera built the restaurant himself around a tree (his guest house is the same) so it's really beautiful and pretty inside.

Yes it's tourity and full of foreigners, but it's in Sigiriya town centre(!) - all the locals eat at home!

We had vegetable kottu roti and it was the best we've had, tasty, spicy (not westernised), hot (cooked fresh) and not too salty like others we've had.

If you're polite to staff, they will be polite to you :)

In the upper tree house you are actually sitting pretty. However, the beer is very expensive. When eating, you should rather order completely different things. We had six curries and there was a lot in many small bowls, which our table neighbors but also for two people received. After some discussion we got a discount but had to invest it in a new meal.

2nd floor is actually a treehouse. Food is fantastic. Owners are very helpful and kindly minded our backpack for the day. Negative review below is obviously from somebody who cannot cope with traditional Sri Lankan cuisine.

We are on our honeymoon and had lunch here after climbing sigiriya rock. We were so happy we came across this restaurant it seemed to be the most popular one in the village. We ordered the vegetable rotti and club sandwhich. My wife is vegan and she was in love with the roti! My club sandwhich was good however I had food envy and found myself sneaking spoonfuls off my wife's plate, it was delicious! A must place to eat in sigiriya.

Super nice place with a lovely view of Sigiriya. The decor of the dining area was gorgeous.
I had the chicken kottu which has been the best I have had in Sri Lanka yet. The staff were very friendly and made our dining experience a pleasure :)

Food is cheap but also not very good. It felt like a bit of a tourist trap: the place looks ok from the road so tourists will come in anyway, no matter what the quality of the food is.

It's the worst restaurant we have been in Sri Lanka. Unprofessional service and long waiting for a single meal that was cold and completely flavorless. There were other restaurants around and for sure all better than this.

The food is really tasty in this place, though way overpriced. A chicken rice and curry cost us LKR500! But it was very good and the curries were full of flavor so it's well worth the money you spend. Except for only a couple of people, the staff was nice and friendly too.

On the way to Sigiria Lock, I had you leave the suitcase. Actually I wanted to leave at the bus station in Dambulla, but I was very fortunate to the kindness of the uncle of the bus station and the bus driver.
Thanks to you I was able to see Sigilia smoothly!
Thank you very much.

Came here about three years ago. It was amazing. We all really enjoyed the food. Parents shared a curry plater. Two kids had chocolate and coconut roti and the other had chicken fried noodles. Great local Sri Lankan restaurant.

A mistake!

A mistake!
From the outside, the Ahinsa promised a very promising impression. Our tour guide, my colleague and I entered the restaurant and were immediately given a table. Through the blackboards, "Best Rated Restaurant 2015", outside the doors, we had a good feeling.
To cut a long story short: from the three main courses ordered and a supplement for sharing, each individual course came 5-10 minutes later. The cloves of garlic in the batter were a firm and solid lump that was inedible on the way!
The two Devilled Chicken ordered were OK, although I ordered my portion with fries after consultation with the service staff but still received rice. The table next to a plate filled with STILL was 40 minutes full of us `` forgotten ''.
Not to be recommended despite good beer ......

To avoid! Awful place! I saw the waiter hitting a dog that was in the street doing nothing! The dog started to scream and run!!! AVOID. I just had a coffee there and was not nice. And the waiter had a gun and tried to shot a monkey... I'm not sure if was only air or bullets. The worst place that I have been in Sri lanka

Can't recommend this place. Don't visits. Foods are not taste and very very high prices not worth.

1l water bottle 100 LKR
Vegetarian rice and curry - 400 LKR
Chicken biryani - 500 LKR (not included egg)
Awosome price right.

And need to teach how to make a good quality buriyani.

Not clean but good service. I think only for money.
