AGL Welding Supply Review

Their staff was very polite so I am giving this place 2 stars rather than 1 but they refused to exchange my oxygen and acetylene cylinders because they weren't AGL branded cylinders. I could understand if there was a surcharge but they just outright refused. The welding supply where I used to live never had any issue with the fact that the cylinders weren't their brand so I feel as though this is ridiculous and a dumb reason to lose a customer.

Simply the worst service you can expect from a welding supply .
No knowledge about their products .
Gives hard time to pays to people with strong accent !
Being helpful might be to difficult.

Stay away from this company. They send inexperienced techs who do not fill tanks properly which results in Dr I work for not able to perform necesssary procedures. When we called to report these issues they sent someone out and charged us again. There is no way to reason with them. Only after we left them to another company we realized that we were overpaying by $40-50 monthly. Do your research, shop around!

My problem was a stainless Steele, steam table in a restaurant. Sean Darsi came out too look at himself, personally. Unable to repair but was able too give me an apoxy that worked very well. Anything the Fenlons do is always great. Thank you.

Going back to AGL was a great experience.
After retiring 2017 seeing all my ex coworkers really was a joyful day.

Most useless welding suppliers. Don't even stock 1/8 7018, and there bottle refills are vary expensive compared to other places.

AGL stopped providing medical oxygen supply and refill since 2016. Very pleasant staff that guide me how to get medical oxygen in a different place.

Very old school. They have been around forever. Very helpful.

Derrick and Kevin were a pleasure to work with! Easy and seamless transaction in and out with the tanks I needed. They were able to accommodate a European machine that needed a nylon hose / adapter that I was having difficulty finding elsewhere.

Don't give them your welding machine to repair. Over one month.

Worst gas supply in the area won t help you unless you buy there tanks and charge stupid fees with every swap

A few years back I bought my Miller MIG and all my supplies from these guys. Argon tank refills couldn't be easier; drop-off at the dock in the rear, pay at the counter and pick up the new tank.
Very satisfied with my experience here. I have recommended AGL to all my friends.

Decent customer support, my only negative experience is the extreme lengths they go to avoid paying you a refund. I waited four weeks for a deposit that was only about$300.

Not agile, accommodating, or helpful. They give alot of SLICK smiles though.

They did not want to exchange my CO2 cylinder which clearly had both the US and Canadian DOT stamps on it, but in the end, that was ok as it a pretty nice shiny red kegco one so I decided to keep it and get it filled. I had to buy 5Lb Co2 tank filled which with tax they raped me for almost 141$ with sales tax. Airgas in Oakland told me 86$ for one filled. For swaps on tanks he was also over 10$ less.

Although counter staff lacks knowledge of most large scale product they are very friendly. Very slow repair times.

I've been using AGL for a while. Illogical tank swapping practices in order to force you to buy into their tanks- they make up rules as they go along. Snarky manager (Francine). They're polite but not nice!
