We had a backed up bathroom sink that just was not flowing in our '54 house.. We suffered for months with a slow drain until it finally stopped working.

We shopped several companies, including reviews, Affordable Drain Service was the best in price ($88 flat fee for up to 1.5hrs labor). Called at 10am on a Monday, they scheduled a crew for a very tight window of 3-5pm (ask the cable company to do that!)...

I told them that I would be home all day and if something else opened up earlier it was cool. 12:30 I get a call, they had a cancelation and were in the area. Truck arrived 20mins later, two guys (Nick and Stephen), both friendly with me and the dog (who is skittish about anyone that gives off a bad vibe).

They had me sign an estimate for the $88 plus additional $10 for a part if required (it was not!).

They did their thing with the snake, took out all the gunk 20ft down the pipes and were gentle enough to protect our dated cast iron system.

Total time, 50mins from doorbell to credit card payment.

The little things that matter:
- Good documentation up front, nothing sneaky
- Friendly guys that are cool with dogs, the dog was leaning hard against Stephen getting massive pets within 5mins, rare for new people
- Quick work.. They knew what was gonna happen, took charge, and just did it, I did not even needed to supervise.
- Tested everything, multiple times
- Clean up: They brought their own towels, not like with my other plumber. They even sanitized the work area, back wall, cabinet floor and toilet.

In all, highly recommended, will use them again.

Our condominium association has used Affordable Drain for several decades. They take the time to understand the plumbing situation they face, explain the work needed to resolve the issue, and do the work in a professional manner. I highly recommend.

I am a self-employed plumber, and I do not do drain cleaning. I refer Affordable for many of my drain cleaning calls. They are courteous, prompt, and do quality work.
I have no hesitation recommending them. I know other plumbers who also refer to them.

Came out to do my outside drains. A few days later was a huge rainstorm. Drains worked awesome. Realized the importance of keeping up on these. The service prevented the flooding that so many of my neighbors had. Highly recommend Affordable Drain Service!!

I will never call them again for service because they are not honest enough to let me know first that they could not unclog the drain but rather disassembled the drain section from the disposable grinder without letting me know what they will do. I wonder why the plumber did not notify me before doing that service. This just tells me that the unclog was not on the main drainage rather near the disposable grinder.

The service men that have come out to help with our drains are by far the friendliest and politest workers I've met in San Diego. Every person we have had out to deal with our aging pipes and drains has been so courteous and honest. This company clearly takes pride in its customer service.

We had a great experience with Affordable Drain! We called them after having been ripped off with roto rooter. The guys at roto rooter claimed they cabled our pipes and did not. HOW I FOUND OUT? I could hear Matthew taking off the cap to a line that the guys at roto rooter claimed they couldn't take off. So 2 things. The guys which were 2 must have been weaklings and I assume lazy. Matthew got the cap off, cabled our line and we have done 2 loads of laundry without issue. NIGHT and DAY difference in the draining. They were fast, efficient, and we appreciate businesses like yours! We will no doubt be referring you constantly to anyone and everyone we know.

Affordable Drain Service was referred to me by my regular plumber. I have used them twice to resolve difficult clogged lines. Using the latest technology along with proven experience, Dan and his crew laid out the options BEFORE attempting to resolve the problems. They carefully explained the procedures and successfully carried out the best option. Not just good, but masterful in their performance.

Craig and martin showed up to help me with a slow drain in my first home. They did good work, cleaned up well, and made me feel comfortable. I appreciate their work and I'll use them again.

Unclogging a kitchen sink drain seemed like a good `do-it-youself' job to me. Hours later after wrestling with two plumbers snakes and adding boiling water and chemical drain cleaners that failed to do the job, I gave up.

Affordable Drain' Service's tech spent 4.5 hours trying to unclog it. It turns out the drain is a nightmare of horizontal stretches with 90 degree bends perfect for trapping food debris. And it was all filled with dark, sticky sludge that would seal up after a snake passed through it. So, it is no wonder that my own attempts failed! The company owner showed up and using specialty equipment was able to remove many pounds of disgusting goo. Now the drain works fine.

The bill was more than the minimum charge by several fold. But the price was fair for the amount of work, and they got the job done. The owner recommended a simple plumbing modification to add a `clean-out` port and make future maintenance simpler. Our plumber made that change and our drain should be a lot easier to keep running freely. We will use this service the next time our drains need attention.

The first company that came out to our house looked at the sink and turned the job into something bigger than what was needed. So glad that we decided to try Affordable Drain for a second opinion.

Richard came within 2 hours of calling the office. He called me ahead of the appointment and he showed up when he said he would to clear our kitchen drain. He was here 20 minutes and was done, cleaned up and ready to go. Drain has excellent drainage...all fixed. Great job. Very affordable! Thanks Richard!!

Sunday afternoon had a potential plumbing disaster on my hands. Talked to Scott at Affordable Drain and Pipeline service. He was at my place in 30 min from calling, fixed the problem is less then another 30 min, saved the day and gave me a fair price. Did I mention this was on a Sunday!?! Highly recommended.

We used Affordable at our rental property in San Diego recently. James was efficient, respectful and thorough. Affordable was responsive and professional with clear explanations of work performed at a reasonable cost. HDO Property will continue to use them for all our plumbing needs in the future.

I paid close to $150 to have a plumber come out. The response time was very delayed, and had to wait multiple days. The plumber said the issue was fixed and my water went down the drain. I left for the holidays, and upon my return the issue was still present. I called to notify them that the issue was still ongoing and it wasn't fixed the first time. They told me that there was no guarantee on their work and that I would have to submit another work ticket (hence pay another $150) for them to come fix the issue they never fixed the first time. Stay far away from this company for any plumbing needs!

Affordable drain went WAY above and beyond to plunge the pipes and fix a pesky leak! Amazing service and a great price!

Made the appointment last week. Called today to confirm they said yes the tech will be there today 10-2. Called again after 2. Nope they have no idea if anyone will show up. Horrible service. Don t waist your time calling them.

Needed to check what I was told by another plumber about the conditions of my sewer pipes. Was referred to Affordable Drain & Pipeline Services by my co-worker. So very happy that I called them to help me.

OK, you won't believe this: called affordable drain at 1:04 and they were at my door at 1:22. Carlin and Dan were helpful, kind, professional and knowledgeable. They were in and out in less than 40 minutes. They provided helpful suggestions to prevent me from having to call them again. I would recommend this company and these men to anyone! Great Service, Fair Price and handsome workers!

Definitely not a company I would trust in the future! Very disappointing. We were overcharged-$320 for a clogged drain problem they didn't resolve! When I called back saying the problem was not fixed they wanted another $190. I was told they don't guarantee their work. The technician was rude.

I have used Affordable Drain a few times over the last 15 years. This is the most professional and honest drain business you will encounter. (There are a few out there that will do some bait and switch.) On my most recent service call, I had a huge mess in a guest bathroom that was the result of tree roots getting into the pipes. They used a camera, figured it out super quickly, and took care of the problem. The price was reasonable. And now with the Covid-19, they are being super careful. They are wearing masks, social distancing. They are taking employee temperatures daily. If you are going to have a drain service come to your, home, this is the one you want.

NO stars!!! Do not use this company! The technician was not helpful. We had to call someone else out to unplugged our toilet which was fixed 15 minutes with a 15 foot snake. When we called back requesting our $44 dollar service charge the Operations Manager Daniel was rude, combative and unwilling to help in this situation. Would NOT recommend this company to my worst enemy.
