AlwAys been bad chaotic and disorganised and now it gets worse. You land 30m for bahs and then 500m along pavements in a multistory cap park on top floor to pick hire car up. Wonder if you are older with bags what the 'ell do you do

Very small airport, theres a long wait upon arrival. Very disorganized, and not customer oriented. When we depart, they tagged a lot of people for inspection in a small room. There's not many shops in the airport.
Toilet for the women is closed for the cleaning so women have to use the one for men or queue a lot to disabled.Over priced food- sandwich at least 7 and burger around 18 , closing stores and bars at 9 pm, no air condition at the ground floor. Too small to manage all the people waiting to the gates, not enough of seats and even space to stand. There was a lot of rubbish at the seats. From the airport in location like that you expect way more and all you get is disappointment.
Chaotic and busy. Note that not all car rental companies are in the same place. Therefore, following the car rental signs does not apply to all companies. Some require you to board a mysterious shuttle outside the tower, but this is not indicated anywhere.
Long time through the security check and very illogical queuing system. Once inside, it was very crowded, bad with seats and drives for everything you might want to buy.
I am really disappointed in general. After a good wait at the airport (fortunately in the off season) my pen does not pass the control ??? (I am asked to put in the hold which represents the price of the pen) Weird when I went to Lyon at the hall while security is reinforced and in addition a shop sells pens at duty free. I think that the customs officers earn a very good living a liver the seizure of seizures made !! Thank you Italians finally one in two is dishonest and not very friendly. I m really disappointed to have to beware of being scammed every time. The extra prices are constantly to be checked. Other than that say more ??
Beautiful, functional and overall pretty clean. In some areas it is still an open-air construction site, we hope it will improve after the expansion phase is completed. Comfortable and pleasant airside with many shops, exaggerated prices
Not a very convenient airport, not friendly staff, passport control is terrible, only two lanes work and all flown in one heap, there is no info window where you can ask, confusing and uncomfortable
Nice airport, the car rental needs to be moved though. I'm not sure putting it on the third floor was a good idea. We had to take two trips up in the lifts as they are tiny, not enough room for two ( skinny ) people and two suitcases.
If you're buying tickets for the boats at the port, to Venice, try and avoid the miserable lady with long brown hair. She's just difficult for the sake of being difficult. Every time I've been there she's just rude. Really, she should get a different job. One that doesn't involve the public.
The luggage check in was at one extreme of the airport and the departure gate on the other side...Needed to wait for buses, after buses got there in a cold rainy day we waited more than 25 minutes with the bus doors open, getting all wet and chill before the driver move the bus and to get to the airplane the ladder didn't have a cover we all got wet... awful experience.
I went to bring her a friend today 13/08/2010 at 16:30 and with the Convid, only travelers can enter. So I went to the parking lot. For about half an hour I paid 25.00. An official robbery. In fact, I felt stolen. Incredible and unacceptable. Be careful because it is shameful.
I must add as a matter of fairness that, as we have not found free parking and as I go to the Marco Polo twice a year, I put the car in the long-term parking lot. Technically I was wrong, but I think it can be considered an error induction. Also because you only have 10 minutes to go out and not pay for the day.
Arrived yesterday evening with flight sm 809da sharm via Naples have dumped us from the bus in front of a finger that we have traveled back to go to passport control, well the electronic doors all barred, no one to help us shut inside this gut warm people angry confused, she was about to go back and then to the maneuvering area of the airport, luckily among the passengers there was a very smart girl named Veronica who works at the company that manages the check-in, using her badge in endowment managed to open a door and call two policemen who let us out. Everything should be certified by the two policemen. Once at the ribbon for the second odyssey baggage claim, it took 55 minutes for the last baggage to leave, some lost the bus, the train, angry passengers but no one to ask what was going on. The unloading operator took out a bag every 30 seconds, the baggage of two aircraft arrived after us were unloaded on the adjacent belt, it was clear that the operator was specifically delaying the delivery operation, I ask you to investigate on the incident, because it is not possible to cause such an important damage to the passengers and to the good name of the airport itself, perhaps by sanctioning and punishing the unloader ... And maybe thanking that good girl who helped us out by avoiding a situation that was about to become dangerous.
I don't know which genius had invented the system of two separate exits for arriving passengers. It seems made to confuse people and separate families.
When you land the wait for luggage it is longer than other airports. Half an hour (at the end they became 45 minutes) for a few hand baggage loaded because there was no seat in the cabin. If you arrive late (flight from CDG landed at 11.15 pm) you lose your connections to Venice. I understand that it does not depend on the company that manages the airport but who has chosen the company that handles the baggage? Who should oversee itself? Thanks anyway for the answer.
I took the EUR 8.00 Express bus from the airport to the Mestre train station, to continue to my final destination by train. The advertised 17 minutes bus ride was exactly 30 minutes, stopping at more then 10 intermediate stations. And, of course, I lost my train. ATVO charges for premium bus service and delivers substandard service instead.
An airport, not too big, with an influx of people bordering on the rude and yet excellent ground service, the suitcases arrive at the belts almost before you. Everything well connected, attentive and efficient staff. Make it easy for you to travel
Easy to reach airport from many places. The service is on a professional level. Not too big, there is no shortage of shops and caffe bars. It is easy to find private parking and shuttles nearby.
Airport growing. Every month there is something different and it is difficult to comment. It is a pity in some things but it must be seen when work is completed.
A small and elegant airport. What is unique about this airport is the availability of water taxies called vaporetto to connect to the main island of Venice and Lido. Otherwise, it is a typical middle size European air port. It has some cafes and some duty free shops.
Fairly organized airport. Only passing the gate in question is quite late in my opinion. In any case, much later than, for example, at Schiphol. It is quieter and nicer to know where you need to be. I also found the staff not too friendly. At two counters I did not receive an immediate answer at first, quite shortly and after 1 time not understanding them correctly, they quickly seemed a bit irritated.

Rode bus 5 right up to the doors. Literally waited in no lines and went through checking a bag, security, and customs within 15 minutes even though airport was very busy! Got there at 5am for 7:15 flight. Great experience!
Excellent anti-covid measures. Minibuses with "selected" seats in order to allow the spacer. Too bad to see the airport with few people causes a pandemic. We hope we can return to normal soon.
Directly connected to Mestre train station and to Piazzale Roma in Venice with ATVO (only 17 minutes). The new security gates are much more efficient and faster than before. Like all airports, the prices for food are high but there is a lot of choice. I'm only sorry that every time I got on the plane I had to take the shuttle bus ...
They place baggage with the measures established by the company in the hold, while other larger baggage on the plane. The plane still had a lot of empty seats
The traffic has outgrown the size of the airport. We had to wait an hour to check in at an Air Canada desk because they hadn't opened yet. The security line was long and slow and then the passport control was just as long and slow. They have some shopping but it's more expensive as per all airports. It is clean and they have signs in english and italian so at least you can find your way around. There isn't much choice when flying into Venice, so it is what it is.
Finally the preferential lanes for passport control, but if you don't put the staff to unload the baggage belt, now the wait is there. 90 minutes waiting for the luggage because the ribbon underneath was always full. At Malpensa there is an employee who unloads his bags when they run empty for a while.
On the weekends this airport is a big mess. I am immersed for the second consecutive Sunday in a mass of tired and hot bodies, from entering the airport to the queue in the gate for a latecomer plane. I give just the right feedback to kill time ...
Modern airport. Outbound the selection of shops and restaurant isn't the greatest but there are dedicated charging points for phones which is pretty handy.
Very poor response of the airport to COVID-19. Half of the terminal is closed so all the passengers are packed into one area. Instead of actively encouraging social distancing this airport encourages everyone to get even closer together. Priority que has been removed, lounges are closed, half of the toilets are closed and the majority of the elevators have been put out of order. Walking to the carpark en car rental area requires you now to walk over very narrow pedestrian path where keeping distance is impossible again. The airport has shamelessly used COVID/19 as en excuses the reduce services to an absolute bare minimum. One thing that hasn't changed is the rudeness and grumpiness of the staff that work at the airport. At least something that is consistent... The airport only gets a second star because of the beautiful approach into the airport with stunning views of Venice.
Cute. Characteristic. A little congested in terms of security gates but sunny and friendly staff. It's nice to feel welcomed and not threatened at the controls..xD
No shrimp or fountain or even the correct tap to fill the water bottle .. I asked the cashiers restaurants if they could fill my bottle and they all told me that I had to buy plastic bottles in 2019 you refuse to fill reusable bottles to sell plastic bottles is really a shame !! Other than that the airport is small and badly landscaped I think ...
The first experience after covid as a nice surprise I found that a coffee and a briosh has risen to 4.20 euros, an armed robbery. Is it possible that in this country one must always be a hand of a band of thieves with the approval of the law? How can I afford retired to ask INPS to adjust my pension I always have to suffer the abuses of unscrupulous people who take advantage of the fact that we are in the republic of Babel or in the forest of the strongest always eat the weakest and also manage to justify themselves in front of the he reads knowing he is stealing the community.
What is the most convenient way to get to the Aer Marco Polo with luggage from Rome Square and fly from Venice to Naples? also, what place of departure is more convenient; Aer Marco Plolo or Treviso? Thank you
Easy to get around, with clear signs for everywhere you need. It was one of the most beautifully designed airports that I have ever seen with decoration in the midst unexpected places!
Esyjet flight from Prague duration 1h05 landing 10 min in advance. Hence the disaster: 15 minutes locked in the plane because according to the pilot the high volume of late summer traffic slowed down the activities ..... and I already laugh. 45 min waiting for the baggage claim without any news or assistance. A shame!!!! Scandalous I would say. In the midst of so many tourists from all over the world I was truly ashamed. I actually the sincere disorganization already noticed the departure .... kilometer snake x the police check is fast enough but terrible to see people get scared .... who has been lavishly paid x to create the new spaces perhaps has not kept in mind of the traffic volume of the airport. In summary I will try to avoid it as much as possible ..... bad airport for a wonderful city. Sin
Nice small size airport. But They need Uber or something like it.. Taxi drivers see "tourist' and they sure go for the RIP off. No meters..No one to oversee this has not control. Mafia Style. They charge whatever the can get away with and each taxi driver backs up each other. They have a rate sheet but sure is for display only. Where is Uber or Lift when you need them To get rid off this ripp off. With local people they won't get away with it.. They see us and the price just went up 40% then next taxi driver also knows what's going on and agreed with it.
On arrival everything went well and clear directions to the water taxi to Venice but on departure this was horrendous. There are not enough comfortable seating areas upstairs and Passport Control is a disgrace. My partner and I must have showed our passport 4 times and the queue for passport control was terrible. We only managed to catch out flight because they called out last call! The staff don't seem to understand and have limited information. 2 stars are for the outside eating/drinking area nothing else. Such a shame to spoil such a lovely holiday.
