Absolutely love working for this company! Its been 2 months since I started and honestly wish I wouldn't have hesitated on applying for as long as I did, when I first started I was kind of nervous being it was a completely different type of job from previous ones that I had but finally got comfortable with where I was at. From the first time I talked to anyone there, they were focused more on what area and schedule I was most comfortable with which is a HUGE difference from my previous jobs. They found a location I was comfortable with with a schedule I liked and I started a few days later. Finding this job was truly a blessing between both not having a job and in the middle of moving to Denver. I appreciate you guys so much!

I was there for a short time but based on the other security companies out there, Advantage is better than most. Is it perfect? What is? But they've been operating for 25 years (plus) so they must be doing SOMETHING right. Last I heard, PTO was coming in Jan 2021. Give them a try. But meet them halfway. Be reliable, be professional, be consistent, have a good attitude and the odds are, they will work with you. Again, was there for a short time and I can only speak for myself but - unless there have been drastic changes - I'd go back to work with them in a NY minute

I just started working with advantage May 22, and I must say, I really enjoy working as a security guard. They make me feel like they care. Far as the people at my location I m stunned, they are extremely nice people This has been a big blessing for me and recommend working for advantage to anyone!!

I worked for the Colorado Springs branch. If you want fat, untrained, lazy and cowardly, this is the organization for you. Management is completely clueless and inept. You would be wise to go elsewhere. You do not get what you pay for. They do not train or piss test anybody! I've seen their golden boy officer sit and eat pizza in front of homeless people when he should be working! That's just plain flat-out rude! They fill positions with anyone, not qualified people. CSPD should be ashamed and embarrassed that they're wearing the same colors.

New guy at Bear Valley shopping center almost ran me over texting and driving.

I'm a local driver and have been servicing the Denver area for over eleven years. I was always pleased to see Security Officer, Katie Corrigan. She was a familiar face at some of the drop off locations I attend to. She was professional and always greeted me with a friendly smile and enthusiastic wave. Now, she's not there. Her presence is already missed. It's disappointing to me to know that Advantage Security has lost such a dedicated and competent Security Officer such as Miss Corrigan. Make her a better offer and bring her back !!!!!

Great family owned company that cares. Not perfect, but who is.

Started a union sign up.... Fired on the spot decent guard and on their blood line contract... Ball aerospace..... Must be nice to be the CEO collecting easily 5 figures a day and expediting 4 figures a day in expenses. This is the top for advantage as a guard pay is unreasonable for a requirement of a clearance. Don't even know how they're getting away with putting guards with no clearance on the premises of ball. Go to school get your CDL and move on no need to work for a greedy company that could care less about their employees.

Literally no violations on company policies. And really because Boulder is entirely a clearanced site. I left this review just to show the lack of integrity of advantage. Dave Argo and Jeff in the office have no leadership capabilities if things actually happened on campus no one would be able to handle it other then Moskalski who is obviously your greatest asset there.

Great place to work with extremely talented management staff! I look forward to working with them again and learning from years of collective experience in the security and monitoring business.

The only thing I agree with this, company is the last post. Disadvantage is a perfect name! I'll start with the first, incompetent employee Robert Arko. He is employed to be a recruiting supervisor. My first impression of him, was mentally ill! He kept forgetting my name in the interview. He has no short term memory. He said he wanted to go further, with the hiring process. When a few days passed, with no contact. I called back to find out, he hired someone else. He didn't remember he hired someone, before giving me a interview. When I called to, resolve this matter. I was given Sarah Trent as a contact. She is there pathetic human resource specialist. She immediately took Robert in defense. I was promised to be contacted by her when a, position I'd be interested in be posted. She failed to do so miserably! Every time I saw a, position posted I would contact her. She never attempted to contact me. It was excuse after excuse, either it was filled or it was kept posted. In case the employee didn't work out. It took as long as a week or more, to be contacted back by her. I pursued it to the top, the owner Vic Evans. I left him a voicemail, it has been a week still no response.

I initially began working for Advantage Security in 2003. I left in May of 2004 because I moved out of State to Oregon, otherwise I'd have never left. When I walked into the office back in 2004, the interview, video's and paperwork had long been completed, however I stayed long afterwards to talk with Vic, Mitch, Tyler and others about many people we knew in common in the world of security. I once worked for APS, American Protective Services, out of California a company in which Vic spent time with. When I moved back to Colorado from Oregon in 2007, I immediately joined back up with Advantage Security. Not only has Advantage been great to me, they truly have the "family" feel to the company. They offer great job sites, and competitive pay compared to many security companies. I often say that I go where Advantage goes, meaning that if I work at a great site, and the contract is changed I will stay with the BEST contract security company here in Colorado, Advantage Security. Not a slight on any company or client, but Advantage Secuirty means that much to me, and has always done me right. From the owner Vic, all throughout his management staff, ASI is the best in Colorado. Love working with our awesome schedulers Wayne and Phil, and many other folks in the office. My time with the company shows 10 years due to my out of state move, however I've really been connected by heart for 14 years. So if anybody wants the truth of how it is working for Advantage Security, speak to some of the long standing employees who've been around awhile.

I have worked for nine different Security Companies since I was 19 years old in almost every kind of security job you can image. Residential, Commercial, Special Events, VIP Protection, Movies, Mobile, Armed, Unarmed, Site Supervisor, & Senior Management. ASI is the very first one that has ever treated me like they actually cared about me as a person. I really enjoy the fact that I have open door access to both my boss or all the way up to the CEO. Everyone was willing to offer me guidance and support at any given time at my job. I also like that 24/7 I could call SOC and someone would answer and address any issues I had. I recommend this company to both potential clients and job seekers very highly. I even encouraged my wife to get a job with them and she loves it there as well

Just kind of wished they showed more appreciation while I was doing 4 yrs at the auto auction with the late Bob Howard, may he rest in peace.

I worked there for over a year and escalated quickly there. I've never enjoyed another security company like this one. They have great staff and management. If I ever move back to Colorado, I'll definitely go back to Advantage.

Worked with them before but since Perry took over I tried to go back again for work. Was once late and fired me because of it. Horrible new managment for springs. I have done so much for this company and they threw me down the drain.

Disadvantage security sounds more appropriate. They higher back former site managers who changed companies when the contract ended and left everyone else out to dry. This company blows! You wonder why the turn around rate is so high here. The pay roll department should have studied harder in school and maybe they could actually get a pay check correctly. I can t wait to get my superior response back from the clown who answers the reviews all day haha. Disadvantage security.

WHEN I WORKED AT ADVANTAGE SECURITY , THEY WERE A VERY GOOD COMPANY . VIC EVENS THE BEST PERSON ALWAYS THERE WHEN EMPLOYEES NEEDED HIM , OFFICE PEOPLE NOT SO GOOD , BUT THATS CHANGED , MITCH VERY GOOD MAN , I WOULD CHOOSE ADVANTAGE OVER ANY SECURITY CO. IN COLORADO !

I've been working for Advantage for 6 years after having worked for 3 other companies in the past. There's a reason I've been here this long. Are they perfect? No, of course not. Do they care that they aren't and try to get better? Every day. They've worked with my shifting school schedule and my changing needs in a site. They've helped me whenever possible. They've been understanding that this wasn't my end goal in career since day 1 and supported my efforts to get my education, and two of them even wrote a letter of recommendation for my job search after I finished school. I'm still searching for that job, but Advantage has been there to help me all the way. This didn't come for free of course. I've worked hard and filled in for others whenever possible. The biggest thing I have to say about them is, if you take care of them by putting in extra effort and taking extra shifts when they need it, they're definitely going to go out of their way to help you when you need it. I would recommend them to anyone interested in working in security.

I'm a Truck Driver. I visited the Safe Way Location off of Dahlia St Denver. This company guards the gates. I was instructed to go to Staging Area. On Arriving to Staging Area. I was then told I was to move immediately. When I questioned James on where to move. He stated I wasnt anyone special and move Mother F'er. This was a little disrespectful and this guy James represents your company! Spoke with a person in the office they stated he was grumpy and it happens. They then stated they would speak to Marylin his supervisor. Marylin was a little upset at me the driver when she swung through? Am I missing something? If you see some of the reviews from Safeway on Google, this isn't the only instance this has happened. Honestly I hope James Joanna and Marylin find their joy in life! Life is to short to be that angry! This is a Super Market DC! Its not Fort Knox.

Terrible employer, even worst security services, unable to meet the needs of clients and often miss incidents based upon inability to maintain steady employees.
Furthermore, after posting this negative review of this truly terrible company, they proceeded to reply with false accusations (called off 3 times in 30 days, and showed up late over 8 times) and defame my character. Please look at the response by ASI as my case and point of how this company responds to people who speak out against it, and treat their employees truly terribly. Other companies handles security not only in a more professional manner, but in a manner that is able to keep the property safe, both of which ASI is unable to accomplish at this time.
Also, just to point out this misdirectional tactic by ASI, the response from ASI does not address my review of the company as not being able to meet the needs of their clients from missing so many incidents that happened while their company is providing security services for a site, ASI only responsed with a character attack to avoid the issues that are glaring them in the face.
In summary, you can find a better company to provide security services from, and you can find a better job. Life is such an amazing experience, don't waste your time on companies who desire to perpetual negativity, laziness, and greed.

This was the worst company I have ever worked for. I had some medical issues and then when i got out of the hospital 13 days later, they had already filled my position and put me on part time for like 2 hours per site. This was the biggest waste of my time.

I worked for this company from 1999-2003 & I never had a bad experience with them. If I ever move back to CO, I will be sure to look them up for a job. Vic, Mitch, Jeff, the whole staff treated me like family. Anytime they needed me, I was available because when I needed them, they were available. Companies all over need to sit down & take lessons from these guys because they are the greatest!!

I took a PTO day to interview with this company. They double booked my appointment with 4 car salesmen who were supposed future customers. How rude! Their operations manager and VP of the SI division gave me 5 minutes then blew me off for the cars salesmen. Not to mention both of them dressed liked the homeless. Their reception area is smaller than my master bathroom. Receptionist doubles has a seamstress. Just another guard service company who thinks they can be an SI provider also. They are not even a vendor for any major SI products. They have to buy their equipment from reputable SI vendors to get their equipment. Seriously, 3 techs total. I would not let them install a system for my dogs house, let alone a small corporation.

Good security company to work for, unfortunately i had to quit due to a bad encounter over the phone with Melissa in scheduling. Melissa seems to think that she is a supervisor over all the officers and feels that she can talk to you in any type of way she deems fit.

This company is awesome as long as you are a competent person. Security may not be for everyone but if you are interested, this company will set you up for success!

The company itself is great but not HR. The HR lady lies a lot and is unstable, unprofessional.

A lot of lies can be proved but may not be worth the trouble. Extremely deceiving and backstabbing. Nice to your face but then talks behind EVERYONES back constantly including officers, supervisors, office staff, managers. She manipulates, lies and is emotionally unstable/moody. She lies to make herself look good and to make others look bad. She thinks shes better then everyone else. I wouldn't trust anything that comes out of her mouth. A lot of people have been fooled, but the truth will come to light.

Company is great, but needs to get rid of the toxic main HR person.
