Avanti Destinations Review

We recently used Avanti for some time in France, starting in Paris and ending in Normandy. I am giving this review one star because the first hotel we stayed in was fairly nice, despite a location quite distant from the city center. Our group has traveled together before, and are reasonable, generally easy to please, fun individuals whose goal was to enjoy a premium travel experience. Let me simply say this: Avanti did NOT provide that premium experience. Despite their high cost, excursions did not match descriptions. One of the hotels had mold. Avanti Customer Service does not/ did not care. They have absolutely no regard for customer issues or complaints. Save your money and find a company that provides more reasonably priced options, AND, if something does go wrong - as can happen - they demonstrate concern for their customers. Bottom line: find a company that delivers as promised. Avanti does not.

Kim Childress is always the most helpful representative here. She is the reason I re-book over & over through this tour company!

Do not recommend this company for any travel arrangements. I used them through AAA travels and when I couldn t travel to Europe due to Covid, their reimbursements were shameful. Even my AAA travel agent agreed and stated that they would not be using them again.

Awful tour operator. Like many of the recent reviewers, I was also bilked out of money. Though the airlines have refunded money for flight cancellations due to covid, they refused to do the same. This company is a criminal enterprise.

They messed up my Arles France trip September 22, 2018

Avanti needs to do the right thing and refund people's money who had trips planned that were canceled due to COVID-19. Considering this is a worldwide pandemic that no one could have predicted, now is the time for your company to do the right thing.

We purchase our steel cut oats here which is best for diabetics. You can buy all oars and seeds packaged or in bulk as well eat with great loft dining tables that overlook the shopping below.

The first thing you do when your Travel Agent mentions Advanti, is to find a different agent. Don't let AAA sell you on these sleaze bags BUYER BEWARE>

Only 1 star because only 1 of the 4 hotels in our 16 day European vacation was decent. Last leg of our trip....Frankfurt.....Manhattan Hotel! Upon entrance within feet from the door....homeless people, drug deals right in front of us, and passed out drunks ! After checking in we immediately called our travel agent and then Avanti! Keep in mind, there is 8 hours difference. While they were sorry, they could offer no resolution. They said, you can book another hotel, pay for it, and then file a claim for a refund with no guarantees of such refund! Never will I refer them to anyone. They praise themselves for only booking 4 star hotels however booked us in a 3 star dump. Dumpy old hotel despite their kicked up website. Talk about false advertisement. Do not trust Avanti. We spent 11,500 on our trip and they totally botched it!

I was a travel agent for over 30 years. Avanti is the go to company to get your travel needs confirmed with great customer service and knowledge. Use them personally as well.

Poor service. Got our itinerary with no description at all about each tour they booked for us so we had to google them to find out where we were going. Our flight was cancelled and when our St. Louis agent called them to get help they refused to contact the hotel they had booked us to change date of arrival so we had to place an overseas call ourselves. They cancelled two of our tours because of our new arrival date, charging us and not making any effort to get us another driver to take us out. I would not use them again.

VERY EXPENSIVE - went with a local tour guide who has a 5 star rating on TRIP ADVISOR - paid 1/4 of the $1997.00 that Avanti was quoting for 3 people for a much better 8 hour personal guided tour of ROME, Italy.

Great staff very friendly and experienced. Love all the changes happening in the new managment. It's a promising company that Specializes in customized trips to Europe, Latin America and now Asia.

You fired my wife after twelve years of service. Arrogant Seattle types run the office now. Enjoy the busy season!

I am being informed by my travel agent that because I booked a trip with Avanti Travel Group and not directly with the airline (Air Canada) I will only get a travel voucher good through the date of purchase (10/1/2020). Yet when looking at the Air Canada website they have extended vouchers through 12/31/2020. Buyer beware!

Best tour operator when you want to travel independently (no escort) to several destinations in Europe or Latin America or Asia. They know their stuff!

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM.
WE DIDN'T GET TO GO ON OUR HONEYMOON BECAUSE AVANTI STOLE OUR MONEY.

THEY WILL STRAIGHT UP RIP YOU OFF. NEVER BOOK ANYTHING WITH THEM. Their terms say non-refundable cancellations allowed, which means you are screwed if anything happens, such as a global pandemic. They won't even work with you to resolve your issue or give you a partial refund.

We have been saving and planning this for years and now we have lost thousands for services we never received in a time when everyone is struggling.
