I am one week post op hiatal surgery and Linx procedure. I am back at work, pain free. Dr Touliatos and the office staff and Grandview Staff are amazing. Professional, kind, courteous, and they seem to love what they do. I highly recommend this group to anyone needing GI surgery.

They are not following ANY social distancing measures. And when confronted about it they weren t so Christian with their response. Take your business elsewhere before this office gets you sick instead of making you better.
Not abiding by Covid-19 health regulations, though the city has mandated specific guidelines. When asked about non compliance, the staff became hostile and refused service.
I have been seen by Dr Bishop and his staff since April 2020 and have felt very safe with the practices they have in place during this COVID 19 period. The receptionist, nurses and doctor have all worn masks while I have been there being seen. The waiting area is very large and I and my family member wore masks and were able to sit and be six feet or more apart from other patients while waiting. I am very pleased with the results of my surgery and highly recommend Dr. Bishop.
Dr. Barton Wood and the Grandview Hospital staff are outstanding. The reason for the 3 stars is the almost complete lack of after surgery support once you are sent home and due to the misinformation in their binder of instructions. I had severe complications with my surgery more than once and had to go back to the hospital...with the usual 4 to 6 hours waiting despite level 10 pain. If you are contemplating gastric bypass or sleeve, take into account that the cure may end up being worse than the problem. If you live alone, I advise NOT to have this surgery. If you have complications, you will need in home care or to stay in the hospital until full recovery- neither of which is desirable nor easy to obtain. The "Help" line number they give you for after hours rolls straight to an automated voicemail that tells you to call another number. When I was desperate enough to need to call, I was in so much pain that I couldn't remember the other number and had to call back several times. Please Advanced Surgeons, take the time to make this call a one - call solution instead of leaving your patients in a bind. When I finally did call the right number, they did help, however, I should advise that you won't ever speak to your Doctor or his or her nursing staff. This means you will have to tell them your surgical details from the start and relate what has happened since then. It would be wise to write your own summary and keep it on hand because you will have to repeat this every time, multiple times. Perhaps my results are not typical, but I'm extremely disappointed that Advanced Surgeons isn't set up to handle complications and the staff does not demonstrate any sense of urgency or compassion to help you. Consider your alternatives carefully and look into what will happen if you too have needs after surgery that are not run of the mill.s
Healing based on faith implies compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to help. I never experienced that from Advanced Surgeons once I came home.
No covid 19 guidelines in place. I tried to ask them why no one was wearing a mask a doctor's office and they said I should find another doctor. I tried to comment on their Facebook page, but was blocked. Choose another doctor that actually cares about their patients and not just profit.
I have only had positive experiences and excellent care with Advanced Surgeons and Dr. Bart Wood. I had surgery on March 19, 2020 right as the pandemic hit. My follow-up visits were nerve-wracking as I was worried about contracting CV-19. While the check in staff did have their masks down, as soon as I crossed the barrier, they put them on. In the waiting room, on both occasions, people were spaced more than 6 feet apart. Some wore masks. Some did not. This was before the mask mandate. Dr. Wood wore his mask the entire time he spoke with me.
If you don t feel comfortable with their measures, definitely speak up. However, the MaskUp Jefferson county group has encouraged a vigilante mindset where people who have never been to the practice give bad ratings. That does not sit well with me. I would encourage an prospective patient to go in for a consultation and check them out yourself.
Advanced Surgeons, P.C. Is a faith based general surgery practice. Their staff is professional, caring and their lives reflect a higher purpose than what they do for a living. Danielle, the office manager goes out of her way to make sure patients are taken care of, even patients that are not directly a part of the practice where she works. Danielle is an advocate for people no matter where they are, she will often coordinate care for patients that are having a hard time getting the care they need, she has a true heart for people. Dr. John Toulitos , is a kind caring professional, what he does goes beyond the day to day pace of being a surgeon. He is a man of faith, it is evident in the way he lives. If you are looking for a practice that sees you than more than just another case, look no further!
Dr. Touliatis did my gastric bypass, gallbladder, and an ERCP. He is kind and he listens and is always asking you how you feel. I will never see another surgeon.
Dr Touliatis did my surgery last year and he is great! His office staff was very friendly and professional. The office was very clean. I felt so at ease with having to have surgery. This group of surgeons are faith based and they show it!
