Wonderful zoo. Love the amazing animals. Especially Funi. She is so cute.

I love the adelaide zoo! It is great to go back there now my daughter is interested in the animals. only wish the food were good - it's terrible, so pack your own lunch if you can.
Wonderful place to visit and great for the family to learn and experience so much
Not sure how the animals feel about zoos. I am kinda over them ethically.
But when in Adelaide this is a nice small zoo that is easy to get around in about 3 hours complete. Panda's the main attraction.
I absolutely love the Adelaide Zoo! It's such a great day out experiencing all the beautiful animals noises and checking out all the different animals. Highly recommend going! And a great place to take your family or kids! The staff here are alwaus so friendly and helpful. The zoo is pretty clean and the cafe is a lovely spot to have lunch and the playground near the cafe is amazing even for big kids at heart definitely go, it's worth it!!
Loved it, and it s really fun place for kids and family. We have got yearly pass to visit as many times as we want in a year.
LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!! Amazing variety of birds, best collection I have seen in any zoo! Loved the tree kangaroo experience!
As a Wedding Supplier we are privileged enough to work at many events at this gorgeous venue!
We have always found Sophie, Elise and the team to be supportive, organised and well drilled with all facets of all events. We always get a chance to work with the staff on the night as well as enjoying the gorgeous food supplied and have never had a bad experience!
Highly recommend!!
A good zoo that tries to balance between animal needs and human visitors. However you can't get away from the 19th century design and size of most of the enclosures, despite extensive work done to make it fall more natural. Enrichment programs help, but can't replace space. I've also noticed a lot of build work and permanently temporarily closed exhibits.
Friendly staff. Would definitely visit them again. Worth taking the annual membership. Just a tip, make sure you pick a good parking spot. As there are schools near by that might be closing and parents coming pick up their kids and traffic can go nuts in mins and it kinda matches with time when zoo close as well.
Excellent enclosures. Lots of fabulous vegetation and a number of well appointed picnic areas. The children's playground is suitable for all ages.
#Adelaide #AdelaideZoo great day ouy for families..
My grandchildren (2 and 10yrs) and I had a lovely time strolling along the pleasant pathways and visiting with all the animals. The zoo was amazingly clean and it was very obvious that they cared about the animals and their habitats. Will definitely visit again.
It's an okay zoo. The Daily shows were short and lacked enthusiasm. Typical animal variety + panda (which we barely saw).
One of the lower tiered zoo's in Australia.
Decent for children.
It was an amazing place to visit, the staff are super friendly, got to see the tigers being feed. All round it makes for a great family day out. Lots of miles to cover as it's quiet speed out.
Great place for family...recommended. Clean, tidy and friendly staff
Went with our daughter and 10 month old grandson, it is a great zoo both for animals and visitors and the young fella was awestruck.
This family friendly not for profit is a great day out for young and old. The petting zoo is open for all ages which is a win in my book. Bring in your own food or buy some in there. Fill up your water bottles at the fountains to drink plenty of fluids. Can hire a kids pusher for 15 for the day to save those little legs. Wheel chairs also for hire.
Nice enclosures, super close to the main hub of Adelaide
We havn't been in a year to the Adelaide Zoo and with all the advertising they are doing with the new interactive kids area. Went today and was a bit of a let down, the new area was nice but wasn't any staff insight to allow the kids to handle / touch animals. Except to feed the goats
A beautiful garden environment - chance to introduce children to a variety of animals
Friendly staff who care about animals' welfare
Fantastic zoo, very well maintained, and all the animals looked very happy
It's always a great day out with the family at Adelaide Zoo. There's plenty to see and do, with guided tours, an animal feeding zone for the kids. Plus lots of shaded areas to have a picnic during the warmer months.
Fantastic new playground and children s area. Lots of animals to see
Such a fantastic zoo- we may not have the biggest display but we have quality. The panda enclosure is fantastic and the gardens within the zoo are gorgeous s throughout the year. An easy walking zoo with nice picnic areas and a great adventure playground near the cafe.
I really love this place because I've never been and I find it funny because there are animals here. Don't know why a zoo would want animals but at least we can see humains in the cages! That's cool. I'm Canadian by the way and I've never been to Australia so... Have fun!!
Where are the animals? Can't even interact with the kangaroos anymore. Giraffes are gone... What next?
Cooling weather and many beautiful animal around.. no worry if your hungry there are food around the corners.. do remember to bring your camera.. phone power bank or whatever is good to take pictures.. have fun and enjoy your day with the family..
My favourites were the meerkats. But its cool that they had some other animals like lions, giraffes, sea Lion's and most importantly Wang Wang the panda. I've been to other zoos in the world that felt like they had a lot more to offer, but this was still a great day out and I'd still recommend a visit to others if a trip to the zoo is your thing.
Always love coming here with the family. The play ground is always a nice place to end the trip and have a drink while the kids play.
Compact Zoo with lots to see and do
especially child friendly activities. It is not a cheap day out but memorable.
With a great layout, this zoo is easy to navigate with kids, we enjoyed the interactive areas and found the staff to be helpful and enthusiastic
Adelaide Zoo is a great place to visit, especially with children. There are animals from all around the world here in many varied settings. Look out for the keeper talks and feeding times for a more in-depth experience with the zoo handlers where you are provided with extra information about the animals and you have the chance to ask questions too. There is a playground for the children to burn off some energy if they have any left after walking around the extensive grounds. Be aware, however, that there are only two individual unisex toilets at the playground so it's better to use different ones around the zoo before you get here - particularly if it's a busy day (I was with a group of children from vacation care and this was frustrating).
An amazing spot in the heart of a city. We only had a 6h stop for our flight so we decided this was the best way to spend our time.
Did the panda and friends tour which was amazing. I could ve watched the pandas all day. Was great to see them all to ourselves before the crowds came in. Such beautiful creatures!
This is my favourite zoo! The animals are very well cared for and loved. It is a small zoo and they have maximised their space really well.
Very nice place to visit with children. Kids will get a chance to feed birds and harmless animals such as llama, goats and deer. The bird section is superb!
Absolutely love this place. Beautifully laid out with lovely gardens and shade. All the volunteers and keepers were very helpful. Wouldnt hesitate to tell anyone to visit.
We had a wonderful experience at the zoo. Was not very impressed with the map. Perhaps an interactive app on phones would be better.
It was probably my favorite zoo ever so much fun and very low prices.
Did panda vip. Inspirational. Best experience of my life. Keepers are wonderful and devoted. Can t rate highly enough.
A wonderful place for a family walk a bout. Beautiful views and animals.
A nice zoo to meet Australian or exotic animals. Lots of space and great spot near the CBD and the Torrens River.
The zoo is so worth a visit with many exciting things to see and do. Particularly enjoyed seeing the giant pandas and the big cats. Also the monkeys running and swinging in the trees. Recent renovations have really enhanced the experience of going to this zoo. Put this on your itinerary if you're visiting Adelaide.
Love the Zoo! A great day out with the kids and exploring what is new. So many new exhibits and the playground is incredible.
Great day out for the family. Loved seeing the animals looking happy and cared for. Easy to get around, not too many areas that weren't easily accessible with a stroller. Lots of kids around and they were certainly well catered for. Parking could be an issue I envision, however, we were very lucky to get an excellent spot at the very front.
Panda's are the best thing there. It has changed since my last visit. Compared to other zoo's this doesn't have much here to look at any more.
Crept in after hours with my druid clan an sacrificed one of their tiger's, took a couple spells and potions to calm the beast before the ritual so they should work on the animals behavior more as my robes were torn by the beasts claws. overall average spot, probably wont return
Rest in peace kemiri, Miss you kemiri, the tigers and big cats
What a beautiful zoo so Green great to see the Pandas in full swing
Always a great visit. Love the new direction they re heading with the zoo, enclosures are getting bigger and more natural. My daughters love it!
A well maintained zoo, very clean and mostly shaded when walking around. The animal enclosures were close which allowed for good photos
The zoo was better before it started sharing as animals with Monarto Zoo as most of the creatures were not there and majority of the rest were sleeping the remaining third three quarters of them were sleeping
A beautifully done zoo, with a lot of animals to see, plenty of play areas for children, and is nicely shaded. The staff are fantastic, and their knowledge and care for the animals are apparent. Be sure to go through the rainforest and wetlands aviary for a chance to hear and see their lyrebird and echidnas. Additionally, the native animal contact area is great for kids and adults who enjoy the opportunity to pet wallabies and quokkas.
A great day out for the family. We will be getting a membership and going all year round. My kids loved the animals, I am fond of the picnic zones.
Quite a big zoo for a small city. Try to spot the red pandas!
We have been there twice and had a great experience, although the zoo isn t too big but has very nice animals.
What an outstanding site! Oddly enough, I've been to a lot of different zoos, and even a couple abroad. But This one is amazing. Great place for kids to learn about animals they may never see in person in the wild. Highly recommend!!!
Best zoo i've been to in Australia. The only Giant panda bears you can find in the country are right here. a 50+ year old hippopotamus! The monkey enclosure with Siamang's and Gibbons are awesome. The Tamarin enclosure is extremely unique and has a big variety of tamarins.
Nice place for young kinds
In my opinion Max 6 years old .
Fantastic day with really easy access and great facilities!
Kids will still have fun, but the zoo is disappointing for adults. Not many animals to see. Tickets too expensive.
Disappointed. Most animals were asleep and in their houses. If you want to see animals up close and looking happy visit the Halls Gap Zoo. All animals are very visible easy to walk around zoo and a large number of exhibits.
Great displays, great park for kids all very accessible.
We were lucky that we got to see most of the animals doing their thing and up close. It was a best part of AUS tour.
We love Adelaide zoo and already got our membership, also hoping that if there is more other animals to see in the future.
Always a brilliant experience. Something new each visit!
Still and always fantastic. I have been to the zoo countless times myself and my children always love visiting. Still amazed every single time..
It's my cheap to get into. There are a lot of empty enclosures. The new children's zoo area looks amazing but there are only the goats to feed. The old children's area was far and away better. Okay the playground was pretty good but you can good free playgrounds that are just as good.
I feel sad that our zoo has deteriorated to this extent! Last week was my last visit.
A lovely place to spend the day with the family and also see some amazing animals
Kids loved it and will be coming back again and again
Amazing place for kids and family. Infact a well maintained zoo!!
Our first visit after moving to SA from NSW. One of the best Zoos we have been to. The Panda's were great but "Trevor" the Lyre bird's performance was outstanding. He performed for the whole 25 minutes we were watching him.
Wery nice and clean. Would recommend to families. Also the Lion feeding show was amazing
Bring out the kid in everyone. Visited when the dinosaurs are on displayed. Very entertaining with sound effects and movements. It is a large zoo, but less than Melbourne and not a five stars. There is a cafe for good replenishment and vending machines dispensing drinks throughout the zoo. However would like to see more bubble tap around the zoo for those who wish to save a fee dollars. Some animals are touchable, feeding experience is available at a cost unfortunately with limited space.
An idea for the zoo is to have a guide for the animals, showing tree hair active time and a little about themselves, such as nature, habits, behaviors. Also these are briefly mentions at each station, just wish they provide or offer one handheld.
Just a bit disappointed with not seeing some of the main attractions like the Tiger. Otherwise a lovely place to go back to.
This is a great place to be with family. We are members and we go quite often during the year. Kids can enjoy the animals, the playground and learn many things. The dinosaur exhibition was great!
Good day out for the family, was lucky to find most of the animals out enjoying the sunshine.
We had a fabulous day. It was 40+ degrees but there are so many beautiful shaded areas that it did not ruin our family day. Staff were friendly and we enjoyed chatting to them about the animals. The push around carts for the kids are a great idea.
Good value for money
