Love the Adelaide Zoo, highly recommended.
Needs some upgrades and or combine some of their enclosures. Animals are treated really well. Thumbs up for a great family experience.

A lot of upgrades have been done over the last 5 years which is fantastic but i do feel as though some animals have been slightly neglected as a result. Some of my favourite animals enclosures were empty.
Mind you i still had a great day.

Took away a good chunk of the zoo for a giant playground? Why?! Also one of the goats was bleeding from where it's horn used to be. Not great

Great family day at the zoo today. Saw all the animals up close, amazing experience.

I only spent a short amount of time at Adelaide Zoo, but it was nice. Very similar to Melbourne Zoo (and many others) there's a great deal of animals to go and check out, with the famous ones here at Adelaide being the pandas. While the cost is a bit painful ($36 for an adult) - in situations like this I don't mind as I'm imagining a portion of that goes to help the animals in the Zoo.

It was a fun day, great volunteers on hand to answer questions and the pandas were out having fun

Great to go on weekdays. A few extra vending machines throughout would be my only suggestion (suspect they may be removed due covid)

When we went to the fig tree cafe to get coffee they had shut the machine off and refused to make us one. This was very disappointing. There were no signs to bathrooms and the overall zoo could use more signs. On the flipside lots of areas where my 1yo could walk around and he enjoyed his time there.

Great zoo. I really enjoyed seeing the animals. I easily spent hours here. The restaurant was great too.

Great way to spend a day, very relaxing enclosures kept neat a clean. Great day out.

Had a magic day with our 18 month old daughter. Really relaxing. Exhibits are fantastic now. Way better than when i was a kid.

Was here last year with the family because it was one of the places that was recommended. Kids loved it, plenty of amazing animals to see, and even a panda! From the city it was easy to get there from a bus. Zoo is well kept and plenty of space. Great experience and would recommend

Good for day out but thought might of been more Australia animals

A well run Zoo. Some truly great habitats, and amazing animals, especially the Maned Wolves, and the Pandas. A large collection of birds from all over the world.

Adelaide Zoo is cool. There's plenty of shady trees and picnic spots. Pandas are the favourites and the orangutan, tiger and gibbons are great. The kids playground is fantastic !

It was kid-friendly...its good to know about the animal facts of every animals, reptiles, amphibians and insects...

Beautiful evergreen forests based spaces for the birds. Even though I am not a fan of keeping animals in captivity, this zoo actually gives a lot of room and plenty of things to do to its wide range of fauna.

Easily spend 5hrs here with children. Free city bus 98c stop right at the entrance, alternatively you can take inner city free tram to go to North terrace and walk 8min to the zoo. Weekdays are normally quieter. $37per adult, pensioner from Australasia are $26 if you show your card. No special price for disabled, children under 4 are free of charge. Easy to push pram and wheelchair mostly flats. They have two pandas, red pandas, kangaroos, wallabies, wombat, koala, lions and tigers, penguins, tamarin, orangutan, hippo, giraffe, and wide ranging birds. Good place to spend a day. It is located right next to the botanical gardens if you have the energy after the zoo.

As always great to visit. Panda's were quite active today and a joy to watch.

Its a smaller zoo that is packed with animals and exhibits. We had an awesome family day out.
The only down side is the parking, get there early to get a park.

If you are visiting the zoo the Panda encounter is a highlight. It was my favourite destination when visiting Adelaide.

Adelaide Zoo is a fabulous zoo. Great range of animals and wide open enclosures. We especially love interacting with the Quokkas.

Love the otters, sea horses & the tigers have a year membership to all zoos of Australia....love the painted dogs at Murray bridge monarto?,

So close you feel a part of the action. Staff and voulenteers very helpful and friendly.

The pandas were great to see, but all the enclosures are very small compared to the size of the animals.

This was such a good zoo, as it's not a big one you can spend a good time waiting for each animal, I saw so much action than I have ever seen. The volenteer staff were great and informative, the keepers took the time to speak to you after the feeding or show. I had the best time.

Another fun filled day at the zoo, great selection of animals good facilities and one of the highlights is always feeding the goats

A lot of fun even in the heat. Wonderful Adelaide zoo!! The zoo was excellent and relies on volunteers and donations. After you visit the museum you will want to make a donation too. Easy to get to by taking the tram. Enjoy

Lovely place, wonderful to have such an oasis in the city of Adelaide. I didn't go for a guided tour (just bad timing on my part) but a passed a few and the guides sounded knowledgeable and passionate for the animals.

Well the weather was perfect. The zoo is easy to navigate, enjoyable with lots of staff and volunteers to help. All smiling and very willing to engage in conversation. Food was not bad, a bit overpriced on drinks but to be expected I suppose.
Spent 4 very pleasant hours wondering through the exhibits.

Such a great amount of animals and the kids area with the animals and playground is incredible!

A wonderful adventure for children. The nature playground was Amazing and all the seated areas for a picnic lunch. Recommended bit not in school holidays or weekends. Too busy

The zoo was very clean and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The weather was quite disappointing, even though they can't help that. There were hardly any animals out due to the weather. I went there for a huge Christmas party for foster/disability kids.

This was definitely the highlight of my trip to Adelaide. The zoo is very well maintained and staffed compared to others in major cities within Australia (without naming). The animals were quite sleepy as the day was extremely hot however the enclosures allowed enough sight to see them easily. Definitely worth a visit for all ages.

Bonzer day spent at the zoo with children and grandchildren. The kids delighted in watching pandas of both kinds, hippos, birds, monkeys, penguins, and much more. We were exhausted but exhilarated at the end of the day. Amenities were good, the paths wide, the map provided was a help mostly, but we still got lost a few times (happily, I think!) We made the exit! Well worth a visit but allow lots of time if you want to see everything.

Great to see the pandas and some other animals.but I hope that they do stick to their improvment plan as the seals do need a larger inclosure and so does some of the other animals. If they do it will be one of the best zoos in Australia

Excellent! Tour guides readily available to help and explain things. Exhibits great! Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Highly recommended!

One of the best places for the weekends, staff and volunteers are so nice.

Love Adelaide zoo, just as good as Sydney, maybe better not as busy.

The family all loved the zoo. So much to see and do.

Hand feeding the giant tortoises was an amazing experience, and in the same visit we saw the male tiger (it may have been lion, this was some years ago) spray some visitors, so overall very positive experience

Great place for kids to explor normal animals except elephant. But this is the only place can see pandan in Australia. Also got fantastic kid pram for hire, zoobaru.

Experienced Panda and Friends morning guided tour. Fantastic and unique panda fun. Also got to enjoy the rest of the zoo. Recommend it!

Everytime we visit from Victoria as Zoo Members, we just love the enviroment that the animal enclosures have, its so lovely to see that its so true to the natural habitat.
Once again Adelaide Zoo we will be back

Great small Zoo. Fantastic adventure playground for kids and a newly renovated children's Zoo.

Amazing Zoo. Spent over 4 hours walking round and wasn't bored once. Amazing animals

They have a large enough room to seat over a hundred people. The food provided could have been better with more healthy options available. The food also need stop be topped up timely as with our large numbers the food wasn't being topped up on time with empty plates being left at the buffet table for too long.

So green, clean and very beautiful. Animals are well kept and looked after. Kids loved it. We had a picnic near the cafe while watching a bird show. It was wonderful to engage with the birds afterwards. Will definitely go again soon!

We bought combined tickets for Adelaide Zoo and Monato Open Range Zoo, both were well worth it. We went for 3-4 hrs on 2 separate mornings, I will aim for a full day at each next time.

Had a wonderful time at the Park January 2020. The park is easy to get around and very family friendly. Lots of things to see and do. The kids loved it and we all can't wait to go back.

Excellent day out with the family. Hot tip, take your own packed lunch. The food was VERY expensive and not that great.

Listening to the monkeys was amazing, and I just wanted to cuddle the pandas! A great zoo.

Was just amazing and specially for kids. Connecting to nature and experiencing the beautiful animals was best part. I would defiantly recommend going there and for kids just the place to learn about the beaty of these animals.

Beautiful lookout. I was here on a rainy day and it was gorgeous.Peak is not wheelchair accessible unfortunately but there are other viewpoints that can be reached in a wheelchair or scooter.

Have never been before to the Adelaide Zoo, it's great. Animals are really close to you. Easy walk from the city. Highly recommend

Great animal display improvement being done will be excellent for the kids. We just keep coming back

I went there the zoo it handsome there is some construction but is oky.
Is very good place for kid my kid love it .
The playground is very big need to supervise my kid there.
Is a lot to do in the day for kid time goes very fast.
I do love it my kid to.
I would recommend little check for the bathroom make sure is ok .

Absolutely Brilliant, 100% recommend it for a fantastic day out as a couple or family. 100% of money spent within the gift shops go directly back to the animals in the zoo to help with the cost of food.

The kids loved visiting pandas! They are really cute!

Adelaide Zoo was a fun day out. The otters were our favorite, so cute and fun. Closely followed by several groups of Meerkats scattered throughout the site. They are a perennial favourite. Their was even a rare albino one which was great. Other animals were good to but to be honest the million dollar pandas were disappointing.

Well laid out with a wide variety of wildlife to see.

Simply fun and exciting, this decent sized Zoo features a large range of animals, both free ranged and caged. The pricing is moderate, and they do animal feeding and bird/seal trick show sessions daily.
*The giant pandas are always so sleepy so don't expect too much of a show from Wang Wang and Fu Ni*

They have a few kid friendly petting zoos and a great cafe and park inside for food and getting rid of your kid's excess energy

Would recommend a trip to, parking is limited as the Zoo also utilizes the Botanical Gardens carpark, but why not make a day trip of both!~

The zoo is fantastic as always. We always have a lovely time.

The Zoo is competitively small but entry tickets are relatively expensive. Even the food and beverages are expensive, however, the animals seem well kept and fed. Good day out for kids as the kids Zoo let you interact with animals.

Really Great. Loads of animals to discover. Make sure you check out the Panda's their amazing. Food available from 2 places. 1 is a restaurant another is more casual with outdoor seating. A great day out. Reasonable admission prices. DO IT you wont regret it.

I love this zoo. The gardens are immaculate. The staff are typically eager to engage with visitors & free tours are provided daily by volunteers. Recent renovations included the addition of a playground suitable for children aged 5 & over, with enough room for adults to play with them if desired. There are also animal encounters available at an extra charge, which include such things as feeding the meerkats, little penguins & even lions. All in all, an excellent way to spend a day & couldn't recommend highly enough.

Better than other zoos.parking is an issue but still good when accompanied by kids...

Nice place to visit and relax. A must visit in Adelaide as it cover wide range of audience.
