My husband loves cricket grounds, football grounds.. places like that and this place was extremely special to me because he proposed to me here. We have been coming to this beautiful oval ever since and it has some serious sentimental value because we just light up the moment we enter the gate

The stadium is known world-wide. Great games for both Footy and Cricket all throughout the year. New options for food and drinks and always evolving. Always a fun time watching a match here.

Great place for organising concerts, festivals and other events. The food and music were great. The atmosphere is really good. The staff here are very pleasant. A fun place for the whole family. I would definitely visit again.

The Portress - home ground of my beloved Port Power! Beautiful grounds with amazingly talented ground-staff, excellent seating with good views from anywhere - but the price of the food and drink stinks! It makes it a very expensive exercise if you don't want to bring your own food and drink to the sporting events (particularly if you are a family) - I've been to many AFL games at other major grounds around Australia, some where you would expect the prices to be much higher, but Adelaide Oval prices are higher than those - poor form! However, the cafe downstairs makes delicious coffee and snacks and are of average price expected for coffee and cake, and given that they are under pressure during game days, the staff there work fantastically together!

Latest 5 star hotel to Adelaide and very nice too. On the Eastern side lovely views of the parklands and hills and when dining in the restaurant Adelaide Oval also. Rooms are nicely furnished and spacious, the curtains are cool. Close automatically when you leave and then open again when entering you room.

We did not take a tour of the stadium but we were able to walk in and see the playing field and the stands. The stadium is large and it was being expanded when we visited. Near the entrance there is a room that provides historical information as well as film footage, which was very interesting and well done. I would definitely recommend a visit to the stadium and if time allows go on a tour or purchase tickets for one of their events.

Amazing

Saw U2 live.
Not the best sound up high where we were.
Good venue and well catered with food, drink and toilets.
Smooth movement through 3 s t ages of security with bag check, want and ticket.
Go early to beat the rush.
If you are taking drinks they remove the lids so bring spares to get around that. Seems odd as you can purchase inside and keep the lid.

Although it lost a lot of its historic charm this venue offers a atmosphere unlike any other in Adelaide. I found it overpriced for food and drinks. Recommend eating before or after attending the venue.

Picturesque views of the cathedral and parklands, make this oval one of the best un the world. The half billion dollar was well worth the price in bringing sports and people into the city. Well done Adelaide

Nice venue, good entertainment for the kids during match days.
Some good shade for when it gets hot,
The bar in the south entrance has a free water tap, they need more of these around the entire site, this is why they drop a star.
