My initial response is the aesthetics, I think it's a brilliant looking structure both inside & out, but the proposed new hotel, in my view, would detract from the overall spectacle. When one considers this venue has a capacity in the vicinity of about 55K, there is a relative ease to both get in & out of the oval. The buses are in close proximity upon arriving or departing, the bridge offers easy access across the Torrens & into the city. I even found city car parking convenient with a minimum of fuss at a reasonable price. The venue offers plenty of food & drink outlets, also plenty of toilet facilities, a substantial improvement on Football Park. We all know about the excessive & exorbitant prices charged for food & beverages, an unfortunate imposition & unnecessary negative. Most agree that retaining the grass hill & old score board, not to mention the outstanding trees, is a masterstroke that adds to the ambience & atmophere to the well designed stadium. It's easy to discern why Adelaide Oval is regarded as one of the best, particularly as a cricket ground. I love & prefer the night games, both footy & cricket, it enhances the experience for me. You don't need me to convince anyone that this is a huge recommend. Cheers.

Love Adelaide Oval for any event. Go to sporting events regularly and recently attended the U2 concert. Great facilities, ample food and drink outlets and fantastic views from anywhere in the ground.

What a great stadium to watch anything. I've seen cricket, football and soccer at Adelaide Oval and I'm pretty sure there isn't a bad seat in the house. Food and drinks aren't cheap, but aren't as bad as some might have you believe. So much history combined with world class facilities make this possibly the best stadium in Australia.

Great stadium. Atmosphere is awesome and the local crowd really gets into their supporting team. Whilst its nearly impossible, avoid buying food and drinks there as they are pricey for what you get. Try get a feed and drink before or after the game at a place near by. It will save you some coin.

Adelaide Oval is such a good entertainment place. Awesome place to hold AFL Games between Adelaide Teams that play against each other on a weekend. Food and drinks are a bit expensive but it's all worth it. Have only been once and would love to go again soon but don't know when! :) totally recommend for families to go to for AFL games.

Food experience in the Pirate Life Corporate Box was outstanding. Access to move around oval and see all was really good. Down ground level food / chips I thought was a little expensive. But overall Outstanding experience.

The Mighty Adelaide Oval had always been an South Australian icon, but its upgrade which was completed in 2014 completely transformed it into one of the most advanced, state of the art outdoor venues in Australia and took it to the next level. The revamped Adelaide Oval has a seating capacity of 53,317 people with over 2100 square metres of grass also including almost 900 square metres of viewing platforms around the stadium. It also has 3 massive viewing replay screens!

The roof climb!

Take an adventure across Adelaide Oval's fancy roofline. Enjoy the amazing views of the city and beyond before testing your nerve if you choose, with a lean out point 50 metres above the ground. You have the choice of a twilight climb, sparkling city lights at night or daytime views as far as the eye can see. An absolute must do for all visitors and without a doubt the best way to see and learn about the city of Adelaide while getting the best view of the cricket match and also making some amazing memories at the same time.
Often when watching the cricket or footy you can see the people making their way along the roofline during the match. If you get the chance to do the roof climb it would definitely be an unforgettable experience.

As someone from Sydney, I love coming to Adelaide oval. It's an incredible place to watch cricket and AFL and the atmosphere is always awesome.

But if you're there to watch a rectangle football game, be sure to get a seat right up high in one of the upper bays. The vast number of lower bays are all so low and far from the field that the perspective lacks the depth required to follow the action.

I found myself wondering what the point of being there was when everyone around me just watches the big screen anyway.

I'm giving Adelaide Oval 5-stars anyway because this problem is not the fault of a ground specifically designed for O-V-A-L sports.

There is an atmosphere of excitement that has been created with the building of this new oval complex. The interaction between players and the crowd seems so personal and real.
It is truly a wonderful experience to be a small part of a huge crowd all enjoying the best of sport in the best surrounds. A 5 star occasion.

Love it when the footy is on here. Kik coffee is impressive and the food is pretty good. Quite over priced but that's expected at footy ovals and stadiums etc. If on a budget would recommend bringing snacks etc.
