You have to do the tour! Seeing inside the scoreboard and how it all works was great. Seeing the locker rooms, Sheffield shield room, Audi club, media rooms and hill of grace restaurant was amazing!

Adelaide Oval is a fantastic venue to watch sport. I do not spend a cent though on over- priced alcoholic beverages there. The beer selection is pathetic irrespective of the price. Food options seem to be improving. Still expensive though.

Saw the mundane green fight and monster trucks here, the stadium is really nice, a little confusing to navigate at first but the staff are friendly and helpful to get you where you need to be

My first trip to the Adelaide Oval was on a boy scout trip from Brisbane back in 1997 - that was a simpler time, only 17 at the time it was my first chance to sneak into a pub and sip a few beers on the hill at the Oval before it was all re-developed in the modern era.

Oh, those old days were a time to be reckoned with!

Fast forward 20 years and we've had a major facelift to the facility - there are those bright lights that allow us to enjoy the cricket and the GAFL at night time, and the seating is much improved. Heck, they even have those high wire walks at the top of the grand stand these days, such is the metamorphis of the Adelaide Oval.

There are also many venues available for private functions, in fact I had my work Christmas show in one such function just last year. Would definitely recommend checking it out but be sure to pack your own drinks as the prices are criminal once you get on the inside.

As a venue to watch sports, it's absolutely sensational and you'll be struggling to find a better one in Australia. However, the food and drink prices are nothing short of an absolute disgrace. I'd recommend just bringing your own if you're attending an event over 3 hours.

Since the renovations Adelaide oval has become not only the crown, but the heart of Adelaide. Now that Richmond can be Port there it is even much better. Every Australian should attend a sporting event at AO.
