Awesome, modern stadium, with ample access to good viewing areas, clean modern toilet facilities, organized food outlets(although they are expensive when compared to the main commercial areas outside the oval)( and I DO realise they have enormous overheads to cover on a non-daily trade basis). Worth taking the guided tour on offer and perhaps the roof-top walk!?(My knees can no longer cope unfortunately or I would have tried it

But Adelaide Oval isn t all about sports. Throughout its life, it s hosted major concerts from artists such as Madonna, Michael Jackson, Elton John and Paul McCartney. It was the first venue in the Southern Hemisphere that David Bowie performed at. In 2014, a huge project to upgrade the Adelaide Oval was completed. The Oval had always been a South Australian icon, but its upgrade transformed it into one of the most advanced, state-of-the-art outdoor venues in Australia. The revamped Adelaide Oval has a seating capacity of 53,500, with over 2100 square metres of grass, and almost 900 square metres of viewing platforms. Went to midnight oil concert. The concert was great but the venue was card only which I wasn't made aware of before entering. Had to get my cash converted to an adelaide oval card which took ages to organise and now I'm left with money still on it as it can only be used at adelaide oval.
