Good stuff here... Didn't even have to buy lunch... Can wander around just trying them free samples :D did buy some nice seafood and other bits and bobs food wise though. Always good service and decent prices

A great happy place. One of the biggest under cover markets in the southern hemisphere... here in little ol Adelaide.
A worth while experience. Great fresh food produce - organic meats, cheeses, breads, nuts, flowers, cakes, coffee amd many eateries.

If you are a Visitor in Adelaide and you crave a tasty meal, this is THE place you have to visit. There are variety of cosy restaurants and food outlets that you can eat till you have almost exploding level stomache . Well if you are living in Adelaide, this is THE place to buy fresh vegetables, fruits, meats, fish and loads of another stuff. Prices are really affordable and variety of things available to purchase is simply mind blowing.

One stop shop for affordable groceries. Big parking lot for your car too.

See all small business running good, and wish there are more places like this.

Great atmosphere and a lot of choice. But a lot of the fresh fruits and vegetables are of poor quality and I much prefer going to farmers markets.

Got in a couple hours before it closed for the day, very busy atmosphere made for some interest. Amazing nut and confectionary stands. Guys selling bad fruit and veggies for next to nothing was amusing, also lots of quality produce to be had. Great look to the place almost vintage in the way the stores are laid out and the brick work shows. Good food for decent prices too. Have to have a look if around the city.

Place is pretty kickass. It's all about the quality. There's better value markets for groceries. but this one's got character and range.

During our trip we went to the central market ... our surprise was great to find a French charcuterie where we bought. Dough..pork rillette ... duck rillette ... black pudding..Unable to detail everything .. too many products .... Friendly staff and not to mention employers ... a cream
Do not hesitate to go stand the 2 roosters they are just before the exit ... you will not be disappointed

Everyone should visit the market for the food and the atmosphere

Awesome market. A must see when travelling to Adelaide. Lovely food stalls. Lots of fresh and local produce. Oysters a must to try, great seafood. Easy to get parking if you arrive early.

Ancient covered market where you can find both ready-made and very fresh raw materials for the preparation of recipes.
It is worth tasting and buying locally produced products, including perfumery.

Not been for too long, good old fashioned shopping, then some great Cous Cous with Merguez at Le Souk!

Friendly and great service from every stall. There's a diverse range of products and food for me to explore about the culture. Would reccomend to anyone who has a chance to visit Adelaide

Fantastic place to do your weekly shop the atmosphere is great and always has been.
Lots of small shops and heaps of food shops with a massive food court if you want Asian foods.

Milwaukee has a good public market but Adelaides blows it away.

This is a great place to spoil your taste buds! Are you looking for some fine cured meats, great selection of cheeses for a platter, locally produced veggies or fresh meat for a BBQ? They have it all!! Bring a market shopping trolley with you for a comfortable market experience :)

Freshest of the fresh. Best of the best. I wish we had something like this near where we live. Everything food you need under one roof. Artisan, gourmet, produce, meats, cheese, sweets and more. The smells are amazing and the colours so vibrant. Can't wait to come back and fill an esky for our next trip

Don t go too early! Not much open other than the usual stalls.

Always shop here for the atmosphere and that they usually ave more types of fruits and veggies than the usual supermarkets.

Looooove the Central Market! It's such a special place. Have fond memories since a little girl going with my family. It's an Adelaide Icon.

Loved it. It's vibrant and very much alive. Exclusive produce is available. Lots of variations to choose from. Has a character of it's own...

Prices aren't too much different from a general grocery store, packed and crowded with minimal room for trolleys/prams etc. People were rude. Better off going to proper fruit and veg markets
