Obviously the historical relevance of the site is priceless, my review will focus on Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of the site... Bottom line: no accommodation whatsoever made for the handicapped or elderly - the majority of grounds surrounding the Parthenon were so slippery (without being wet) that I personally watched a rotund woman likely in her 50s, fall and nearly break her knee. I rushed to her aid and staff were nowhere to be found...
Overall, seeing the historical site is a once in a lifetime opportunity if you are not handicapped or elderly and can access it without injury ;) Major safety concerns - for 20 euros per person x quadrillion daily visitors, you would think that quality and safety standards would be higher...
BTW, I personally fell once while attempting to navigate the grossly negligent unsafe steps, fortunately, I didn't hurt anything - would have ruined the rest of the trip...
