They take their time to prepare and fire your absinthe. A bit pricey, but so is the source liquor. Comprehensive list of absinthe sources with knowledgeable and reliable bartenders to guide the options.

This was a stop on a haunted pub crawl. Very cool building and a tasty drink but was only served after the couple next to me told the bartender I'd been waiting awhile. He literally was helping everyone except me.

One of those places you go once just to say you tried it. Service is friendly but not super attentive. Seems like a spot for the locals and situated on a corner on Bourbon so great for people watching.

Dive bar type of atmosphere. Btw, the absinthe that's used in the drinks are no longer hallucinogenic, they are just gross! Unless you like the taste of black licorice! Uck!! That was our faces BEFORE the drink!

Good drinks....but AWFUL service. Sat for 15 min AFTER they acknowledged me before they came for a drink order. If you REALLY want to be here, do come. Otherwise, if you want service and a drink, I suggest going else ware. Customers are apparently 2nd class citizens here. Will not come back.

Fantastic bartender and the bouncer was SOOO nice! I have to admit I had a hard time meshing the sports theme with an old time historic relic, but I loved it. Recommend getting an absinthe drink even it if is overpriced. Will definitely try the gin fizz this spring when we return! Just know, you will be dealing with the Bourbon St crowd here. Not a quiet place to sit back and relax by any means. But who wants that when you are on Bourbon?
