I highly recommend working with AbelCine to purchase your gear. Victor has been excellent. I've now placed two orders with them, both online and over the phone. One order was for specialized batteries and the other was for a unique lighting product. Victor provided excellent product guidance and insight for me. The company is run well, they have great inventory and products, and I'm a satisfied customer. Thanks again!

I've been dealing with them for years and really like the new space in Brooklyn but what prompted me to write this review was some great customer service from John Kelly during the summer with COVID in full swing. He helped me with a small part I needed for my camera mount on short notice and was a true pleasure to deal with. Thanks John. Its folks like you that keep me coming back.

A tremendous experience. The representatives were impartial and knowledgeable, with a wide selection of professional gear. And the lady at the front desk, Serena was out of this world! give that girl a raise. The best film gear in the best city. No question about it.

1 star because I will not be returning after 10 years of business with AbelCine. I recommend looking for another vendor to purchase your equipment. Their customer service is not up to par to say the least. I have too many complaints to list. One of many issues that I had with them concerns a recent purchase: Abel never contacted me a single time by phone or email when an order that I had a non-refundable deposit for was further delayed past the expected delivery date by 5 months. Anytime I called in for an update, I received someone who sounded annoyed to talk to me. When you request a quote, they ll contact you endlessly, but once you have paid for an item, especially if it s on backorder or delayed, it s silence and a don t bother us attitude. When I expressed my frustration for their glaring lack of communication after 5 months, they didn t seem to care at all. My email was sent up the chain and no one took responsibility. The responses were nothing but finger pointing to the manufacturer when what I was specifically pointing out was Abel s own lack of communication and customer care. Bottom line is, they ll sell you something, they ll hound you about an open quote, but don t expect any customer service especially on items that are backordered. I ve never experienced worse treatment & communication from a professional vendor. I won t be returning.
