Love the pasta, really al dente with a good bite. Sauce is excellent and best of all reasonable price. Will definitely come back
Love the pasta, really al dente with a good bite. Sauce is excellent and best of all reasonable price. Will definitely come back
Self serve establishment, which is interesting for an Italian restaurant, but very decent food at pocket friendly prices. Definitely worth trying.
Simply amazing. Better than Pasta Brava down the road - yes I'm serious.
It's cheaper because of the lack of service charge - you will have to walk to order and collect your food - and what you get in return is unpretentious, authentic food. The pasta is homemade, the sauces are well crafted.
If you are looking for a stuffy pretentious overpriced experience, skip this place. If you are just looking for a place to eat Italian food, sans pretence, like it was cooked by an Italian granny- you have to come here pronto.
excellent pasta! we did wait for quite a while as we went during peak dinner period but the service was lovely and the restaurant was quick to push out starters so we didnt mind the wait. we can't recommend this place too highly!
Probably one of the better pasta around town, affordable too. Great for date nights! Impress your girl and don't spend a bomb too! In case you got rejected #forwardthinking
Awesome place, with awesome and ambience..
Please don t come here so that I can have this treasure to myself...
Waited an hour for our lunch to be served before giving up and walking out. And just before that, the couple sat next to us, who also waited an eternity for their pastas to be served, had a mouthful of their respective dishes, put their masks back on and left.
Lovely joint that has just soft-opened in the past week or so. Family run place. Delicious authentic pasta at such affordable prices and in a pretty upmarket setting. And they make carbonara the proper Italian way!
Came here with my family we ordered for pastas was perfectly cook and veryyyyy delicious!!!!!!! Price was affordable and equality was very good. I will definitely come back again.
Reasonably priced food. But we waited for too Long. My friends waited on average 45 mins for their pasta, and 30 mins for their desserts.
Not keen to visit again.
Loved the ambience, the handmade pasta and dessert. But a little let down on the pork belly as i thought it was a little burnt with bitterness taste to it. Service was also a little slow, but the delicious pasta and fresh lobster made up for it.
Would recommend it!
Good pasta selection and price is very reasonable. Self service to reduce cost which is pretty great, and the quality of the pasta was good, as I personally prefer handmade pasta over the imported ones. Their tiramisu was pretty authentic, love the softness and the bitter hint, a great way to cleanse the palate after a creamy truffley end to the meal. Recommend a try!
Seriously proper pasta at good price. Nice place, cosy, has a lot of spritz varieties, Beer Moretti. You can combine your own pasta. Meatballs in marinara sauce was just yummy
Came in a group. One pasta was wrongly served. All pastas are q bland and dry. Staff forgotten about my friend's coffee order.
I saw a long queue on a friday night, thought it was good. Tried it myself and decided I m never coming back
Average Quality with value pricing.
Had Tagliatelle Vongole and Mixed Seafood Fettucine on 2 Oct afternoon.
The food is real average and nothing fantastic. If you are looking to stuff yourself with pure pasta. This is the place to go.
I would pay $5 more for something better.
Not sure how this place received their ratings.
Furthermore, the staff during the afternoon service weren t friendly. I found it rather rude.
Last night we had dinner at this restaurant with Italian cuisine in Singapore and we were really satisfied. All strictly Italian and well cooked products Even very good desserts. Go Gino always like that.
Pasta is cheap and not bad. However Indian lady stuff has some attitude and totally not flexible. There were a lot of empty seat. Customer were only us. But she didn't provide us table seat. Just counter seat even though we requested table seat for 2 person.
Fantastic pasta, great Tiramisu. Remember to make a reservation if you're going on a Friday.
I give it a star only because it is not acceptable that in such a place in Singapore they do not accept credit cards except from Singapore
The best pasta place in my opinion. Authentic, handmade pasta at a really good price point! The arabiatta fettucine is my go-to. Every friend or family member that I ve introduced it to has nothing but praises for it and it s no wonder why.
Cosy Italian restaurant serving delicious handmade pasta at a very reasonable price. Friendly staff and there is no service charge and no GST.
The food took more than 45 minutes to come, 2 tables that came before us were so angry that they left before they had their meal.
It was such a poor dining experience on a new year s eve. Please do something about it to ensure this doesn t happen again.
I tried panacotta dessert and tiramisu and that was really all worth it i never got disappointed with the dessert very very very delicious i also tried the aglio with tiger prawns one of their chef s special and i was like WOW very very very delicious i will come back here to try another pasta. And the prices are cheap, no any service charge and the ambiance of the store is very classy and elegant i cannot believe these prices in such a beautiful place everybody should try it i will definitely come back here again and again
Authentic Italian food, great stuff. Prepare to wait though.
Pasta was a little too overcooked. Was bumped that they do not sell or provide ice water? but if u want water, you have to purchase a slim bottle of water thats around 4-5$?
Not worth it. Water my money and time here. They don t know what pasta is...service is bad as well. No water and the guy asked me to buy a sparkling water....
Damn. How did i miss this place. One of the best casual Italian joints in sgp. Good prices on food and drinks. The pasta is home made too!
authentic, honest, home-made pasta that doesn't rely on MSG or heavy cream for its flavour. i recommend the porcini truffle tagliatelle and the signature fries with the best TRUFFLE AIOLI
Came here for the pastas! They were excellent for their price point.
The truffle fries were a tad weird , not what i m used too.
I especially loved the carbonara! The creamy texture was on point and the pasta smooth and light.
There was only one service staff to take orders, clear the tables, take our temperature etc kudos to him!
The Mushrooms fries are good 4/5 and portion is just nice for two pax. The pasta are very home made, ie bland. Use the chilli flakes, the food will taste better. Reasonably priced at $13.80given the meat to pasta ratio. Wished they could increase the price slightly with more meat. Wine per glass at 6.80. No service charge and GST. Overall, not my first choice in the area but something to consider if you are desperate for Budget Italian food.
Good range of pasta, and the best part is that they are handmade! The dishes and ambience feel really homely and comfy, frequent this place whenever I have a craving for good pastas. The price is really affordable too and huge value for what you get, I'd recommend their red sauces and egg pastas personally. One down side is the coffee, but that isn't their main selling point. All in all, a great restaurant!
Reasonably priced food which is quite delicious! I think their pastas are homemade and I was rather impressed. Their truffle fries are worth a try as an appetiser - unique and the truffle taste isn't too overwhelming. Just note that they don't serve iced water.
Absolutely fantastic and unpretentious Italian food. Superb staff too.
Waited some time for the food even though place wasn't too crowded but food was good.
A legitimate Italian experience with affordable prices. I would recommend this place for a date or a place to hangout after work. The ambience is cozy and warm, with a few selection of alcohol available. Of course the pasta here is delectable, paired with the appetizers make the whole meal complete. Went for the chef special of truffle pasta and burnt butter ravioli. The menu available will be suitable for most of the crowd who wishes to try it! Give it a try if you're nearby!
Amazing location and food. Price is good, highly recommended
Cosy place with great, authentic pasta. My friends and I love coming here for lunch. Highly recommend their porcini ravioli. Only downside is that you cant pay by credit card.
My wife and I came back home sick, with stomach ache (diarhea). We shared the fried mozza in apetizer, and had our own different mains.
On the bright side, we liked the choice, the wine and low prices compared to other Italian restaurants
Food was average, definitely had expected better given the overwhelming positive reviews. The restaurant was severely short-handed as well. Went on a Friday night, and spent most of our time waiting (waited 20minutes in line just to order our food and it took another good 20-25 for our food to arrive).
Tomato based pastas are good. An affordable place to visit if you are looking for Italian cuisine.
Love their homemade pasta! Soft and thin! Try the tagliatelle with porcini and truffle!! YUMS!!
Value for money, like the range of Italian wines. Go during non peak to enjoy the food and atmosphere
Food is slow to arrive, probably due to the lunch rush, but good food and value for money!
Pastaria is a warm place to dine.
Everyone from all walks of life can find something to enjoy here.
The food has never disappointed me. Fresh, made from scratch, the food is every bit satisfying.
Please bring back the home made strawberry jam to go along with the mozarella fried!
Authentic Italian Pasta and pizza.
Dinner time prepared to queue for seatings.
Small cosy restaurant.
Only cash or nets. No GST and service charge.
Price is affordable. Pasta from $12.80.
Try the Napolitana pizza @ $20. Worth a try.
A simple meal at wallet-friendly prices. Considering which area this place is located in, I'm pleasantly surprised. All prices are nett & you collect your food from the self-service counter where you place your order.
Choose from the DIY pasta menu (pick your pasta type & sauce - red/cream/white wine) or the specials they have lined up against the wall.
Pappardelle Al Ragu ($12.80 nett) had a Ragu sauce, unfortunately, tasted too generic - like the kind you'd find in a bottle at the grocery store. The Pappardelle was also sticking together though thankfully they weren't too overcooked.
Mixed Mushroom Tagliatelle ($12.80 nett), being a white wine-based one, had a light & delightful sauce. Noodles like a thinner version of Mee Pok which I super love.
Pasta took 20 mins to be ready - normally I don't mind, but today I was a little pressed for time & slightly kancheong. Thankfully I still had time to enjoy my Tiramisu ($6.80 nett) before heading off
Would return because I love pasta, & this is very value for money. But don't expect any fancy schmancy stuff lah. (They serve wine, $6.80 nett, in water glasses here)
Cash & NETS only
Air-conditioned seats only
Accepts reservations - Quandoo
No GST or Service Charge
Cheap food good food fuzz free I will be back!!

Back after a while.
Service still friendly. Food portions reduced.
Pasta no longer al dente. Hard to keep up with standards. It s now reduced to a slightly better (but far costlier) pastamania.
You have to try the truffle fries. It comes with truffle sauce which is possibly shaved truffle with mayo. Simply amazing.
Pasta was clumpy and average at best. Service was warm and food was affordable though not fantastic.
Very much a homey Italian kitchen, with freshly made pastas. Good value for money. Definitely worth coming again.
Authentic and delicious hand made pasta. Though waiting times can be a little long. Cozy place
Long wait for affordable pasta but food isn't that fantastic. To each their own since my family liked it. The hot wings was extremely sour though. Had us coughing just from smelling it.
They gave us a replacement plate without a question. Very professional.
Ehhh not worth the price. In general Italian in Singapore is something to avoid.
The food is so delicious and I tried the Arabiata Pepperoni, that's my first experiecne their. The staff and service is also very good.
Love the pasta! Beef ragu and aglio olio are my favourites. Their fresh pasta are great!
Zero service. Waited 30 mins for the food but didnt come. This place is only good for ambience and phototaking to be honest.
We queued for ~10min to get our orders and waited another 45 min to get our food. Ordered the red sauce pasta with sausage and it was tasteless. Pastamania would be a better choice. Only giving 2 stars coz staff were warm and friendly
Visited on a Tuesday evening. According to Google Maps, it was supposed to be closed, so do call to confirm before heading down.
Love the cozy and warm ambience couple with chillax music. Food wise, fried mushroom & tiramisu are the must try dishes for me though I would prefer the tiramisu to have higher alcohol content. A real wide range of pastas available to choose from, they can even advice what works best together. Price wise it's very affordable compared to other pasta restaurants. It's really quite a steal.
The food is pretty decent but nothing spectacular. Just dishes that were done well. Prices are acceptable. Service though is a little hit and miss, and even though they state to open at 11am, only did so at 11.45. Note that they don't serve tap water!
Pasta is a little too soft for our liking, but the fried portobello mushroom is great and the price is quite fair.
Came here with my family and everybody loves the food!! One of us is vegetarian and Pastaria Abate caters well to our vegetarian sibling. Highly recommended.
Lovely place! It wasn't crowded so service was good. I also loved that it was so casual. Food was good too! Only thing we couldn't pay by credit card.
Came here on a Friday evening and tried their truffle carbonara and italian sausage. It was disappointing as the carbonara was lacking in taste and the dish felt like it was left there sitting for ages. It could be cause of the HUGE crowd that night.
The tomato based italian sausage has a sauce to it but it can't be said about the actual sausage.
All in all, won't come back again.
Great pasta at fantastic prices
Had dinner here with my fam8ky and we loved the place. Staff r friendly and food was amazing. Highly recommended .
had the italian sausage pasta. it was very good. fragrant and generous amount of tomato sauce. long black was nice and strong (very italian). but iced white was more like milk with some coffee flavour.
bruschetta and tiramisu was decent. calamari was a little less than average.
overall a very cosy family place with nice pasta offerings. just don't go for anything else haha. waiting time was rather long considering it was 2.30pm on a sunday with some empty tables.
Just had a meal with friends for my second time here. Felt like that the service standards dramatically dropped from my first time.
When I came in to wait for my friends, staff guided me to the wrong table even though I booked via Quandoo.
We were 3 people and when the other 2 got the pasta dishes after the 15 min wait, I was told from the server that my Lasagna was not available. Why didn t you say so when we all placed the order together in the first place? The others were ready to eat but I was not after waiting for 15 mins.
Rating 2 stars as the pasta was pretty yummy as it was my first visit. Otherwise I would give it 1 Star.
I hope this happened just to us, as other posters did mention they had a great dining experience with the restaurant and their reviews were quite recent. If you want to try authentic Italian food at cheaper prices, just go for it and see it yourself.
Large range of pasta, other mains include steak and chicken. Wide selection of appetizers and desserts too. Quality is excellent, I would recommend the mozarella, grilled pork and fries for appetizers. Calamari was so-so and selection of drinks is limited.
Payment: Cash or NETS only.
Note: Partial table service only.
The seafood pasta was pretty good during my visit in May 2019.
Hearty, tasty and affordable. The portobello fries are TDF!
For their delivery menu : the pizza napolitan with anchovies was yummy, the chewy crust was my favorite. Had some leftovers and it still tasted great after reheating. The porcini and truffle pasta did not fare well with the delivery travel time, the pasta was too soft by the time it got delivered BUT its pasta and it should eaten immediately, not meant for delivery. There wasnt much mushroom in the pasta, the truffle porcini was a spoon of paste on top of the pasta. Needs an actual sitdown review for their pasta. Was disappointed with the tiramisu, it was just too sweet, overpowering the whole desert, no coffee kick to it. Would recommend their pizza.
Please believe everyone else s reviews when they say that the waiting time here is very long! I waited for an hour for my plate of carbonara on a Friday night (with covid restrictions).
The place was also very crowded and definitely violating the safe distancing measures of 1 metre, for people seated nearer to the queue. And also too noisy to speak to someone next to you.
My carbonara was pretty tasteless and also watery as you can see. It felt like soup at that point.
Incredible value for money. Delicious homemade pasta at an affordable price. Made with fresh ingredients, by good people.
Aside from the homey food, the owners make you feel at home too.
P.s. the food is so good that I consistently forgot (for 3 times) to take a picture of them.
Food was ok, will pay another visit to try other fresly made pasta on their menu.
I would recommend Pastaria Abate .
I visited the restaurant for dinner. I had the Porcini & white truffle penne, fresh garlic bread, hotwings, beer bucket . The food was served quickly , and arrived warm. The food tasted average. The seating in the restaurant was spacious. The place had a good amount of seats. The restaurant was nicely furnished. Portions for the food were small.
The restaurant staff were generally friendly. The restaurant was also clean.
There was no queue. There was no wait time for the queuing.
If you visit the place, I would recommend the Duck confit , but would advise against ordering the Truffle penne.
Total damage the for meal was 78 for 2 pax. Which was slightly pricey for what you get.
Average food. No credit cards. No service. Pay at the counter. Get your food at the counter.
The Martini pork chop was tender and juicy and the portobello fries were nicely done. Very cozy ambience for a small gathering.
Freshly made pasta, no service charge. The best pasta at this price range (~$20/pax net).
Great pasta. Very affordable. Quiet and friendly staff
TLDR: mediocre food, don't bother coming here. No idea how this place is rated above 4 on Google.
Long version: We had made a reservation for dinner on a Saturday, but found that the reservation was unnecessary as it was only half-full. This should have been a big warning sign.
The restaurant is a casual, self-service establishment. No tap water is served, you have to pay for a bottle of still / sparkling water. Alternatively, you can choose from the available wines, though do note that the housepour is served in a regular drinking glass and not a proper wine glass.
The meal started off decently with the jumbo meatballs (3/5). However, it went downhill from there.
Next came the Carbonara Roma, which the waitress had recommended with dried pasta (linguine). This purported to be done in the "original" Roman style. Having just returned from Rome, I was really looking forward to this. Instead, we were served with a plate of pasta swimming in a thin, watery, pale yellow liquid which looked like drain water, and tasted like a very weak and watered-down version of the adulterated "carbonara" cream sauce which is usually served in Singapore. The pasta itself was obviously overcooked as it was way too soft, and that was using dried pasta! Absolutely horrible, 1/5.
The mixed seafood pasta (homemade tagliarini) was very average. The pasta sat in a pale grey sauce of a similar watery consistency to the carbonara. The taste was average and entirely unimpressive. 2/5.
Finally, we had a tiramisu which the waitress extracted from a tupperware box stored in a fridge below the cashier counter. At $6.80 per serving, this was by no means cheap. It tasted far too solid, like the lady fingers / biscuits had not soaked long enough. There was insufficient mascarpone cheese and there was no taste of liquor / brandy at all. A travesty. 1/5.
If I had to identify something positive about this restaurant, it would be that the average price of a main is below $20. That said, even at that price point, this was not value for money at all.
Do yourself a favour and walk 100m down the road to Pasta Brava, or any one of the other 20 Tanjong Pagar restaurants selling Italian food within a 5 minute walk. At least there you'll get what you pay for.
BEST pasta in Singapore - and at affordable prices too! Highly recommend, must-eat when in Tanjong Pagar
the food is really great and the staffs are friendly. i will surely come here again with my friends! :)
the food here is realy good and must try the pasta dishes its fantastic
Good pasta but severwlt understaffed and wait time was far too long (1hr)
This is without a doubt the WORST place I have ever eaten. This is genuinely the meal I was served (see picture). I feel like I still have ptsd from the texture of the mushrooms - it felt like chewing on phlegm. Our food took ages to arrive even though the place was nearly empty. The coffee was alright but the service wasn't great. All of our meals looked like they'd been made days ago and heated in the microwave - some were still lukewarm inside and the pasta was stuck together. Never going back!
Terrible soggy parpadelle crushed into tiny pieces, the meatballs were so salty and the ragu was so fatty n made up of crappy parts of the meat.
Prices were cheap but still far from being worth while considering the quality of food..
