The "Aalto" is an excellent musical theater with very good international singers who have sung on famous stages. The Philharmonic and the Opera Choir are great. Another highlight is the ballet with Ben Van Cauwenbergh. The repertoire is very varied: from well-known classics, operas, operettas, musicals to children's and youth programs. A subscription is worth it !!!

Just great performances in the Aalto Theater! Sleeping Beauty with real horse, dogs and cats, just great! Great, lively introductory talk, parking garage directly under the theater (but attention, currently construction and limited parking).

I breathe and it's the difference that aalto has created here, the ventilation in the seats is just great even if the upholstery got a bit old.

One of the best opera houses in our country. We were here in La Boheme for Christmas. This evening was an unforgettable gift with excellent acoustics and performance.
With the architecture of Aalto and the curved lines and levels, this house provides the right framework for the great musical works that are played here. A special recommendation.

For me the most beautiful opera house in the Ruhr area. You can sit comfortably, the air is always good, and you can see from almost every seat and hear well. Added to this is the convenient parking space. You drive into the free parking garage and can walk dry to the theater. Only for friends of traditionally staged operas may not be the best tip. The productions are generally modern and the stage design is reduced.

We saw a performance of Verdi's opera Nabucco. Seating (2nd balcony on the right) and top air conditioning. The performance was absolutely great. The only drawback: no barrier-free toilet.

The performance "Carmen" was excellently staged. Unfortunately, it has pulled through the ventilation in the back of the seat very much in my neck.
Next time with scarf.

Wonderfully designed theater with top quality performance. We have enjoyed 3 ballets at this theater and they have been excellent productions. The theater offers comfortable seating with good views from any spot. On top of all the perks of a lovely theater it's actually affordable, including the convenient underground parking garage. I highly recommend seeing a performance here!

Great organization with drinks, cloakroom and toilets. Acoustics and view from the second balcony rather borderline.

The Aalto-Theather is really great. No question. Great acoustics.
However, I was there to watch SHEN YUN. Pure waste of time and money. I am very disappointed! I had expected sublime music, song and dance from 5,000 years of Chinese high culture loud advertising, a profane political event bottom drawer was presented to me. Not a single word about it in advertising. A shame!
There are truly better events than this.

The dance tribute to Queen was awesome. I was totally moved. Can just be recommended:-)

To attend a performance in the Aalto Music Theater you should treat yourself (even if you are not a pronounced classicist). A good orchestra offers listening pleasure.
Also worth a tour through the scenes. There are interesting things to learn about both the history of the house as well as sequences around the performances.
