I went in to have tires put on my old bike that I didn't ride much because I never felt stable on it. Patrick answered all my questions without pressuring me to buy a new bike. I did buy a new bike and was able to trade in my old one. Patrick fit the bike to my height, body build, and what I was going to be using it for. I love my new bike and feel safe on it.

Brandon, the mechanic was very knowledgeable and told me all about my old beat-up bike. He gave us a free estimate to tune up two bikes. Bryant at the front counter is a super-down-to-earth guy and always makes me feel welcome. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I recently took my mountain bike in for a tune-up. The guy put it up on their rack and proceeded to inspect it. He said, "There's not a thing wrong with this bike! It's in perfect condition." Wow! How refreshing! Then he pointed out a part that had had a recall on it, and told me he could get the replacement in about a week. I had a minimal charge for them to replace a couple cables, and I was back on the road. Excellent service. Felt like I was talking to a trusted family member! I've had several other good experiences with this company, but this one warranted a "pat on the back." Thanks, A&B!

A&B Cycle is a BEAUTIFUL shop! The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They are not only concerned with selling bicycles, but with creating and supporting cyclists.

A&B Cycle repaired and cleaned my mountain bike last week (I had problems with gear shifting) and it s like a brand new bike! I was able to test it out today for 20 miles and couldn t believe how smooth my gears shifted. I had been considering buying a new bike and so glad I brought it to them. They are always so helpful and reasonable. Thank you A&B Cycle for keeping me on the trails without breaking my budget.

We did not make a purchase today, but we spent a lot of time with Roger. He was great! He took his time making sure that we were looking at the right bike for our 11 year old son. We're still doing research, but we won't hesitate to come back here.

Amazing customer service. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. The free checkups they offer on their bikes is incredible. We love the high quality of the product they carry.

Walked in to check out some saddles. I was the only customer in the entire shop, I walked past three uniform employees talking with each other, looked at saddles for 4 or 5 minutes and left after not receiving as little as a greeting. I typically don't write reviews however the poor experience that I received justified a poor review. The shop did seem nice, but unfortunately the poor customer service will keep me from returning.

My husband and I have been purchasing bikes from A&B since 1986. I would highly recommend this bike shop. They always get us fitted and find the perfect bike for our needs. We will soon be purchasing another bike to add to our collection. Great service from sales team to mechanics. Top notch store!

Great bunch of folks that support Springfield area rides and races. Seeing the 'Big Red' support vehicle/ rolling shop is always a good sign when someone needs some last minute help.

I would say I don t know where to begin, but duh, They Are Awesome! I started out buying a bike for my son in June. Bryant was awesome at helping us find the right bike at a price I could afford. My son promptly wrecked it in a bad way, so I took it back to Scotty in the service department. Scotty was great; he took parts off of a new bike to get my son back on the road. Scotty made all the repairs, gave me break on the parts, got it fixed in the same day, and didn t charge me labor! We are talking about rebuilding a front wheel, replacing a derailleur hanger, brake rotor, and readjustments. FANTASTIC Service!

Fast forward a few weeks, and now I am standing in AB looking for a new bike. Same deal!!! Fantastic sales. I was in and out multiple times trying to make a decision. I finally decided and a great bike and rack. A few months later, I had an issue with a cracked rim! Again, Scotty hooked me up. He got my rim warranted and fixed with no labor charges. There are certainly advantages to dealing with a local bike shop, but the folks at AB go above and beyond.

I called out Scotty and Bryant, but EVERYONE at AB is awesome. I HIGHLY recommend!!

I literally walk into the store, tell them what I need and I will have all options in front of me. They remember what bikes I have and they only show me my options for that bike. These guys are the best!

A&B is as fine a bike shop as you will find anywhere in the country.

Patrick and the sales people know their stuff. Nothing intimidating about the shop. They can find a bike that is just right and not try to sell you something you don't need.

Just riding along I have literally broken everything that can be broken on a bike. Chris Brown and the mechanics are world class and can fix about anything.

Chris is a great supporter of local cycling and sends Big Red everywhere.

Bryant helped me find the right bike for me. Everyone working was super friendly and helpful. Once I got done test riding and knew which bike I wanted, Jack got me setup with a water bottle holder while the mechanics made sure my bike was ready to take home. My experience was similar to every other time I ve visited this store. I can t recommend this place enough.

Everyone at A&B is friendly and seems genuinely interested in making sure I am safe on my bike and I enjoy the rides. The service department is tops, doing quick and honest work. The sales crew is happy to let people look around and, if asked, they know what they are talking about.

These guys are super cool. I am a bicycle mechanic visiting Two Rivers Mountain Bike Park for the Single Track Mind Festival. I adjusted my rear hub, went to lock my rear Maxle, and BAM! Fell to pieces in my hand. Chuck answered the phone and my prayers! These guys hooked me up in no time and I didn't even have to ask twice! Bike shop brotherhood runs strong in this shop. RIDE ON!

I just want to thank Jack for all of his patience with me when picking out my bike. He was knowledgeable and answered all of my questions...and I had many. I have enjoyed my bike every day since I made my selection, and I could not be more pleased. He even recommended where I should go to get a hitch installed and that experience was great as well. When I came back for a bike rack, Jack took the time to assemble and install. I would highly recommend a&b cycle...and Jack. :) (everyone was super helpful)

Repair team worked quickly to get my son's bike back on the trail after he blew a tire and needed new grips. They also took the extra time to explain some critical maintenance he could complete at home to keep his bike riding at it's best. Great experience at A&B.

The guys at this shop were very kind and helpful. I am biking across the US this summer and several of my teammates and I came to the shop fifteen minutes before closing on a Sunday after we had a full day of riding. The employees stayed at least fifteen minutes past closing to help us out and did a great job. My bike only needed minor repairs so the employee didn't even charge. They also had all the equipment my teammates and I needed. If I lived in the area I would make this place my regular bike shop.

Everytime I go to A&B I have nothing but great experiences. The staff, no matter who I have talked to are always friendly and ready to help. My last visit was to have my bike looked at for a shifting issue and Isaac had it up and running before I even had a chance to park the car. I was expecting to have to leave my bike and I was out in five minutes. Always a great experience.

So I did just as I said I would in my previous review. I went in and bought a Trek Domane. Chuck and the crew are amazing. They hooked me up with a generous discount, better than I get with my IMBA membership, and got me everything I needed and included a fit! ($200 value). I have bought a lot of bikes and I have to say this is one of my best experiences. Thanks, A&B!

Not a place for mountain bikers, might be okay for people buying cruiser or road bikes though. They didn't have a single full suspension bike that didn't have plus tires, which every mountain biker knows was last year's fad for beginners, but they are still trying to sell the idea. They are definitely missing that market with most mountain bikers in this area buying aggressive full suspension bikes with normal sized tires for riding and racing Two Rivers and Bentonville. Only a single pair of full finger gloves in the store, what good is a bike shop without riding gloves? Also, this place is loaded with E-bikes so as a cyclist it will make you sick to your stomach. I wouldn't recommend this place for any serious rider.

A&B Cycle a great place to buy your bicycle, and service your ride. They feature Trek bicycles. Check out the shop. Experienced mechanics with all the tools and parts to take care of your bike. I like the open shop look, a mechanic doesn't take your bike a disappear behind a wall , you can watch as they work on your ride. Been around the longest , will make your happy to say this is "MY Bike Store".

The customer service is exceptional from beginning to end. Very friendly from the front end to the mechanics in the back. Always able to answer all questions from beginner to expert. You guys do a great job for the biking community!!!!

Got a new tire on the rear of my Trek yesterday. Quick service, in and out in about 15 minutes. Rick

I brought my bike in with a flat tire 5 minutes before closing. They fixed the flat on the spot and lubricated the chain and cables, showing me how to lubricate the cables myself.

I bought my first bike at A&B 7 years ago and have been going back there ever since. They are the model of how a business should be run. Recently I had a problem with a chain they put on which caused my derailleur to break. They acknowledged it was there issue and ordered a new one and installed it at no expense to me. It cost them money in the short run, but they will come out ahead in the long run because of my continued business and the referrals to my friends. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I decided to come back after seeing on IG that they converted to solar power. Better experience this time. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and was helped. They took my bike and now I'll wait to see how it turns out.

I'm not sure what changed in this shop, but it's become an amazing experience each time I walk in. Had my frame faced and the guy went the extra mile and helped me out with my headset and putting my bike back together.

This is the best bicycle shop I've ever been to!!! Dalton and Scotty went out of there way to help me. Looking forward to doing business with you guys!!!

I have been visiting A&B since I started cycling in 2007. They have always been very helpful and have the most knowledgeable staff on hand. A&B is also well known for supporting the local cycling scene. You will always see "Big Red" (their trailer) at most all cycling related events in and around town! Do yourself a favor a check them out you will not be disappointed.

A&B really delivered on all fronts: quick, friendly greeting when you hit the bike friendly door; guys who love bikes and know the products, answered all my crazy questions; fantastic repair maintenance shop with a low (1-2) day-to-ready 4 pickup turnover- got my fussy road bike working like it should and cleaned up good with new rubber on the rims. They are fair on price, quick on service and smiles. Check em out

This last Sunday I was working on a 1995 Schwinn for my nephew, the freewheel was sticking and when I removed it for cleaning it fell apart... bearings went all directions. I called A and B... they confirmed they had a replacement in stock. When I arrived the service staff cheerfully replaced the part very affordably and I had the bike ready to ride an hour later. Well done guys!

My issue was an easy fix. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. They were very accommodating and courteous

I have used A+B Cycle since 2003. They have been nothing but awesome. Extremely knowledgeable on all things bike related - but in a totally non-pushy way. While clearly the experts, I have also never experienced that bike-shop-condescending feeling/tone that you can sometimes experience elsewhere when you are out of town. Beyond their sales/service in the retail world of bikes - they are also incredibly good about supporting local cycling issues, events, rides and races. A+B Cycle consistently makes meaningful contributions to the SWMO cycling community.

I felt the staff talked down to me, as I a don't have super expensive bike, they seemed very snobby.

Great customer service, top notch sales associates and an amazing look to the store along with a very large selection of parts. I would recommend this store to anyone wanting to purchase a great bike!

I have not been on a bike for many years and the Bike I got from A & B is perfect, I love it and the service I got from this shop was great free adjustments for life and a shop I believe I can trust to help me keep this bike riding like new for a very long time.

Hmm...just left A&B Cycle. Completely different experience than I had at the Sunshine Bike Shop. Walked in with a friend (both of us are in the market for bicycles) and neither of us were greeted or asked if we needed assistance. As my mother would say, I can show you better than I can tell you. Oh well, their loss. I suppose I ll spend my $800 somewhere else.

Excellent products and sales staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.

I visited several box stores looking for a bike helmet, with no luck. Also unable to find any kind of salesperson to offer some advice. I stopped at A & B Cycle, and was assisted immediately by a friendly salesperson in finding a helmet for not much money. He helped me try it on and showed me how to adjust it. Going to A & B FIRST would have saved me a lot frustration!

Have bought three bikes since 2017, one of which was the Townie E Bike. They've serviced all three bikes, including my German made Pfiff adult trike...which I bought elsewhere...and only because they don't carry them. More expensive than Walmart, but you get what you pay for.

Picked up a Trek 7200 here 12 years ago and can say that to this day, I can expect the same great service as year one. The bike doesn't just function, it's still a thrill to ride!
In a world where planned obsolescence has become the consumers lot, one can't help but notice when something is built to last. I'll be back for an e-bike soon!

Great service and very knowledgeable staff! We purchased bikes , helmets, and a bike rack from them and they happily stayed after closing to help us. I would recommend them .

The salesman who helped us was awesome! He never got annoyed buy any of our dumb questions or our back and forth decisions! The stores environment was welcoming. I offered my drivers license as collateral to test ride the bikes outside, he just laughed and said, haha we trust you, don t worry about it . I loved it! Also, even though he knew we were new to the cycling scene but didn t try to trick us into getting extra stuff or try to nickel-and- dime is. Great store I plan on using if I ever need any help, have any questions, need maintenance or need new things for cycling!

I had a general idea of what I wanted going in but the sales staff was extremely helpful in finding the right bike with the right fit for me. I plan on visiting for all my cycling needs.

Became a customer of A&B Cycle in 2005 and they have been my only go-to source for mountain and road bike equipment ever since. The guys and gals there are always great and go out of their way to help. The mechanics have worked on all my bikes and have even shown me how to do much of the stuff myself. I've been to bike shops all over the country and Springfield is very fortunate to have this great hometown shop right here!

I just started a new job and wanted to ride to work in the mornings (I haven't ridden in 15 years). These guys were AWESOME! They talked me through the types of bikes, fit me to a great Trek bike, had me test ride it and I fell in love! They had great financing options, and warranty. He helped me find the right accessories, things I never thought I would need, but after riding my first few days I was so thankful! We will be back to buy my husbands and daughters bike!

I don't do a lot of biking and I don't consider myself an enthusiast cyclist in any way, but I do enjoy a good ride on a good bike, and when I came looking some time back, I had some amazing customer service quality and i ended up with a great vehicle at a great price. Next time I need a new bike, which will be soon, this will be my first stop.

Bought a trek mountain bike from A&B 19 years ago. I brought it in to have repairs/trade in value and they found a cracked head. Trek and A&B gave me a brand new bike due to the warranty and having the original paperwork. My new bike was more expensive than my original one. The A&B staff are fantastic. Thanks for making a wonderful experience!

My wife and I purchased 2 bikes this past week. A Trek 7100 WSD and a 7300. The saleman we had was really good to work with. He went out and rode several different bikes with my wife tring to help her find the perfect fit and bike. They worked very well with me as well. I must say great customer service. Well worth my 2 hour drive. They were great about finding us what we waned, I felt the local shops just werent will to do that. I will go to A and B for all of my cycling needs.

Last summer we need some warranty work done. Wife's bike had chain suck was told it was due to a dirtty chain and sprocket, was bike was cleaner when I took it in then when I brought it out, mechanic left greasey finger prints all over it! Seat post on my bike was broke, suspenison, was told they had had it drove 3 hours and guess what they didnt! Replace with a 10.00 POS! After they get the bike sold they dont care. Have since bought 2 more bikes localy. I wont return!

Patrick and Barret who helped us on several research and test-ride visits, and I think it was Chuck we talked to by phone a couple times, were just GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!! They bore with us, never pressuring, just giving help and answering our questions as we needed and remaining patient and gracious as we'd come and then leave time after time. When we finally pulled the trigger on our purchase, they were equally gracious and helpful.

The atmosphere and quality of service really is amazing here. Their selection of first-rate bikes and accessories isn t too shabby either. I spend way too much money every time I come in.
