You should always go early to get the best spot in the lot and avoid chaos. A teenager actually rear-ended my car near the entrance. It was pretty bad out in the front, there is no proper queue which results in chaos. I shouldn't be waiting to turn left into the lot for 20 minutes. I think there should be more staff out in the front directing traffic. More safety is needed at the entrance.

Had the worse experience this Friday. Could not see half of the movie cause was to dark. Spoke to someone on phone. Was told they give me a pass but I have to leave. Was going to accept it but no one came . Not happy. Was a waste of time and very disappointed.
I come to the drive in almost every weekend with my husband. Sometimes the movie is so dark you can't really tell what's going on but I would still rate this 5 stars due to the new movies and fun experience. To get to the bathrooms and concession stand you have to go to the screen in the middle. (If you're coming in it is going straight past the ticket booth) In the summer you can sit outside your car with the volume up and enjoy the movie that way.
Don't forget to turn your head lights OFF. The light from your headlight reflects off the screen making it difficult to view the movie!
We enjoyed the drive in very much and will definitely be back!!! Only concern was the bathrooms it was pretty well gross, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Just make sure you use the bathroom before hand and yo'u'll be good to go!
The old-school and (in my opinion) more enjoyable/relaxing way to watch a movie. The sound is clear but the screen quality isn t the greatest as it s hard to see sometimes depending on the natural lighting. I m also not a fan of their food or washrooms but it s still the perfect date idea for a summer night.
One of the last remaining Drive-ins. The snack bar can get a little effing crazy if you hit it at the wrong time but com'on people. Go to the drive-in! Before we loose the last ones.
Great with kids because of the playground. Snack bar has great food. To be honest I was not expecting the food to be that good. Overall, a really good experience. Hope that these places last for ever.
Love the drive in 5 it has been around for years, I'm 53 and my father used to take us here when we were kids! Good popcorn and lots of other snack bar foods!
Love coming here! With 3 screens there is always something playing that we want to see and no matter where you park the view is good. Not like some drive-ins where you end up really far away from the screen. Lots of snack and meal options to go with the show.
Nice place. Gets crowded quickly. Should arrive around an hour earlier than the start time for good spots. Nice tune in radio system along with a large screen. Clean your windshield as the screen has glare in the daytime.
I love 5 drive in movies! But! When you are standing in a line to enter and buy tickets, some cars jump in front of you trying to skip the line and there is no staff to prevent it. Fix this issue. We are in Canada, let s be polite and respectful.
We went on the Monday of the last long weekend. The only theater where you cant blame them for the seats being too uncomfortable and it being too cold. As one of the few drive ins left this one is probably the closest to the Toronto area. We have visited here before, and watched movies on screen 3, and screen 1. From that experience we would only watch on screen 1 in the future. The other screens are smaller, screen one is a good size. However we all felt that they started the movie a little bit too early. Even waiting another 10 minutes would have been better. It was a little too light, especially since the movie was dark.
There was quite a long wait for concessions. Not helped by the female worker grabbing her neck when she got hit by a popcorn kernel. I couldnt imagine what it would be like on a busy day.
I think in future I will stick to our rule of just screen 1 or going to the newmarket location.
Great drive-in movie theatre, 3 different screens and 2 movies per showing 3 movies on long weekends). Food is good too, classic popcorn doesn't disappoint. Would highly recommend.
Try cheap $7 (2-movies) Tuesdays and carload (as many as you can stuff in your vehicle) full Thursdays. The concession stand serves great hot/cold food snacks, delicious popcorn with a nice arcade, and clean washrooms. A mobile food snack truck drives through all 3 screens.
Best place to go watch movies. Great prices for movies and snacks/refreshments. Date night here is a must and in the summer it's a great place to bring your kids.
Great selection of movies with a playground and volleyball area and two snackbars...the food is decent but could be better. Still an overall great value...love going there!
Wonderful place to see great movies! It's clean well operated (bathrooms are a little run down) and offers a fun play ground for kids! Had a fenced in doggy area, and great discounts on Tuesday's & Thursday's as well as extra movies on long weekend! NO disappointments at this Drive-In!
Love coming here with friends or a date to just hang out. Parking is always stressful but it s a decent drive in and I haven t had any problems with this location so far
We got a refund and left. Back 2 rows are reserved for SUVs. Back 2 rows were full so we were told to park on this stupid patch of grass off to the side even though the front several rows were almost empty. Our car is not even technically an SUV. It is a crossover.
I love this drive-in. It's a great place for a night out with your family or friends. The only downfall is that sometimes the movie pairings on screens seem a bit odd. Perhaps showing horror/thriller flicks on the same screen would make more sense. Just saying.
Ugh, I usually don t mind this place but the staff I encountered here today were absolutely horrible. The girl working in the snack shop (wish I got her name, short brunette, not cut out to work w the public??) was super unfriendly and rude, completely ruined my experience and I didn t even want what I ordered anymore. I literally don t want to spend my money here. Disgusting washrooms also :) not a nice time!!
Fantastic way to spend an evening. They always do at least 2 movies. On long weekends they often do 3. Sometimes even 4 the dusk till dawn. Food is decent, prices are good too. Washrooms have been a problem in the past but for 2017 they have been great. Be there early for a good spot. Oh and dont forget to run your car after each movie. Otherwise dead battery....
The car beside us ran their car the entire time. We had to leave because we were starting to feel ill. Probably the begining of carbon monoxide poisoning. They should not allow cars to leave their engines running.
Be careful if you are planning to see a Thursday night show. We sat down at around 6:30pm on a Thursday evening to pick a show to go see for the $17 night, and when we got there the show we wanted to see wasn't playing until the next day. When we mentioned it was on their website, the teller first said their website was wrong, then told us they switch the movies at 6pm on Thursday to show what is playing for the weekend coming!!! Thanks for the notice 5 Drive In.
Very nice outing for family and friends as you can load your car with people, chairs, food and drinks. You tune your car fm radio to the movie audio and enjoy the movies. It s great in good weather as u can sit out side your car and watch the screen. One draw back is the screens are not very bright so you really have to concentrate to see well. One major issue that seems to happen a lot is that some cars front lights have to stay on automatically to keep the radio on and get audio so that ruins the image on the screen dramatically. We complained but nothing happened and we had to leave as we simply could not follow the movie.
I haven't been here in about twenty years. Didn't even know it was still here. Brought back some really great memories. Missed the hang- on window speakers. The last time I was here, I was driving a 1966 Cadillac Coupe Deville with 8 people in the trunk. The back seat was full of lawn chairs. And a cooler full of Molson Ex. Those were the days my Friend we thought they'd never end. Thanks for keeping the old tradition going.
I love this place but the women s washroom is disgusting. It smells, toilets do not flush, and the water doesn t work. I don t know if it s an ongoing issue but the last times I came - last year, and two years ago, it was the exact same issue.
Also the 5 Drive-In sign is way too bright so Screen 3 is barely visible especially for darker movies such as Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.
Charming drive in theater with lots of parking. Food is reasonably priced and good portion size. Make sure you go super early on a weekend though because we spent 30 minutes waiting in line to drive in on a Saturday night. Good spots fill up fast.
Told us we couldn't sit outside because of Covid-19 however we were more than 6 feet apart and no one was social distancing by the concession stand hmmm
After so many years of wanting to go to an outdoor drive-in I finally got a chance last weekend and I was totally bummed out by the experience. We made sure we left with plenty of time to get there and park before the movie time advertised in the email sent to us and on the site. We arrived 20 minutes into the movie because the drive-through decided to start the movie a half hour earlier. We still don't know the real reason this happened. So much for expecting a full movie. The least they could have done was to offer us another movie time.
Always a good experience. Sometimes.can be very busy but that speaks for itself. Only complaint is that the screens are visible from each other and sometimes another movie playing in your periferals can be distracting.
Great place for a date!! Just remember to keep your car lights turned off when the movie starts playing. Otherwise, someone might drive up to you and tell you to turn them off. Great concession stand. They don't allow any outside food. They use specific radio stations to listen to the movie. Keep an eye out for your radio station because there's hardly any signs reminding you. Overall great place to be!! Definitely recommending this place to everyone.
Very well organized for covid. Staff cleaning the washroom after every use. Great place to go and finally do something! Make sure you book ahead.... many people were turned away at the gate if you don't have a ticket.
How can you enjoy the movie when no one is enforcing rules? Constant idiots playing music, turning on headlights, yelling and shouting... This place needs security guards on site and enforcing the rules during movies. Kick out the idiots who ruin it for everyone and I would love to come back to enjoy a classic drive in movie experience.
Also observed a staff member driving dangerously throughout the car park area (speeding).
