I don't normally buy flowers, but when I do, I go to Alex Waldbart...

Granted, I am not the most interesting man in the world, but I know what I like. What I have grown to like the most is that I can rely on them to be my Subject Matter Expert when it comes to flower arrangements. With all of the decisions I have to make on a daily basis, it is nice to be able to rely on their expertise and creativity.

I have never been disappointed with the value of the arrangement I have purchased. The only thing better is the look on the face of the person who received it.

I recommend this shop to everyone I know and look forward to my next flower purchase with them.

Flowers came exactly as pictured on website.. they were also delivered to my wife at the time I asked for.. after my order was placed I didn t have to do any communicating they handled the order and delivered it quickly.. I will be using them for all my future flower purchases.

I live out of state and have a lot of family in the St. Louis area. I've used Alex Waldbart Florist numerous times to send flowers to family for special occasions and they are always a huge hit with compliments about how beautiful the arrangement is. It's a home run every time. I'm so glad I found AWF!

This florist has been around forever my parents shopped with lee and I shop with Claire. They are always awesome I never know addresses for hospitals etc . I never ever know where a Visitation for a funeral is. They are more than helpful and always my arrangements are the most beautiful in the room.
Recently my sister in law had a liver transplant
And I didn't realize she couldn't have flowers in ICU they asked all the right questions and sent a beautiful arrangement at the appropriate time.

Great experience with Bryan. Sent him a photo of an arrangement I liked and he put together something a little nicer. Grandmother absolutely loved it, and her photo looked even better than the website arrangements you see on the major flower services (whom I find are often sub-par). Not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. Would happily call them again.

I ordered a potted plant for my mother and a flower arrangement for my sister in late August as well as a hanging basket for my stepmom for Mother s Day. I live out of state and I prefer using local florists to deliver flowers to my St. Louis family for various occasions. All arrangements were absolutely lovely and surprised my mom on her birthday and my sister on her virtual baby shower day. The associates who delivered the arrangements both arrived mid-morning, were respectful of distancing and extremely kind. Even though I couldn't be there with my family for these occasions, they knew that I was thinking about them. I couldn t be more pleased with Alex Walbart Florist!

We live in Washington state and know next to nothing about St. Louis. Wanting to send flowers to a friend who lives there are has had recent surgery I took a chance with Alex Waldbart Florist and couldn't be more pleased. The bouquet was delivered in a matter of hours and as the photograph my friend sent me, had beautiful fresh looking roses in it. It looked even better than the picture on the left.

Wanted to purchase a simple thank you for a job well done. Was told, with a straight face, that the $35 bunch was not nice and that I had to spend $50.00 for anything even presentable. (plus tax, of course) Then, the delivery charge was $11 to take the flowers directly across the street. I should have walked away when the Guy rolled his eyes at my purchasing the $35 item ("well OK, if that's what you want") Shame on me. Shame on me I paid and left and did not insist on seeing the flowers.
Lucky for me the recipient thought it was a joke and a funny way to say thanks, so I got lucky - but buyer beware that unless you want to spend a minimum of $75, that this place sends out joke flowers, intentionally and knowingly.

I wanted to order my wife flowers to be delivered at her work. I called around 10am hoping to get them delivered same day. I looked at their website and couldn t figure out what to order from the pictures. So I called and said I wanted Lillie s for sure and this is the arrangement she received around 1:30. Super fast service and it looks amazing. They did an awesome job!

No prearranged pieces. Very expensive. Poor quality flowers.

Walked in to order two pieces, one to take right away, the other for a funeral. Because they do not have any premade arrangements I told them that I wanted a $75 piece and waited for them to arrange it. It was tiny and the flowers looked wilted by the time I took it out of the box, also the water was dirty already. Within two days most of the flowers were dead. The new guy at the front desk was very pleasant but he was the only one. The women making my arrangement was simply rude. I will go to the grocery store before I go to this place again!

The Alex Waldbart process is very efficient and they have a lovely selection of flowers. Actually, everything went well until I requested some changes made to the arrangement, at which point our relationship abruptly fell off a cliff. I accept it is a touchy subject, but I did not insult anyone's professional capability. And the florist's response and subsequent action I still don't appreciate.

New to the area but have ordered flowers my entire life. This was my first (and last) time using Alex Waldbart. I put in a $125.00 order for a dinner party. I should have listened to the many negative reviews, they were right. I don't recall being embarrassed by a flower order before. It wasn't what was described, didn't have many flowers, and looked cheap. I could and would have designed better for half price had I known. I expected flowers for $125.00. Call me crazy.

And no, in case owners post a reply below to "make it right", you can't. You had that opportunity when I placed my order. If you didn't have inventory or generally favor more profit over flower content, you should have said so.

Last spring, I made the mistake of ordering and PAYING, online, for flowers for mother's day from what was billed as a "Clayton store," only to have them email me on mother's day to say they couldn't make the delivery. Turns out I was duped by a national chain that simply takes the orders (and our money) and fobs the orders off onto someone else. I called Alex Waldbart Florist in a panic and spoke with Tony, who took my last-second order, arranged something magnificent, and made the mothers all happy!

I've kept them bookmarked for the last six months and just called to order birthday flowers. Wonderful customer service, had our last delivery in their records to say what they'd done, and had some terrific suggestions for me today.

I have been patronizing this place for years. They always provide good service and quality floral arrangements for reasonable prices. Unfortunately much of my business with them has been for funerals and they are very considerate of that.

Bought flowers over the phone for a special occasion, orchestrated a third-party to pick them up. In a word, wow. Never been so impressed by flowers before (service was great too). Each rose was flawless and they came expertly displayed in a beautiful but simple arrangement. Very impressive job, I really look forward to using them again - only florist I ll use from now on.

I came in for my wedding flowers and 2 employees were here. They both saw me, neither said hello or even acknowledged I was in their shop. I am not one to look around when I know I need something.. I was basing my decision on ordering from them based off of ratings online...too bad they offer TERRIBLE service (or should I say no service at all?)

I m not sure of what happened or why no one felt the need to contact me as promised regarding a quote for weddding flowers but I m not very happy about it. I was told over a month ago that I d receive a call the same week with a quote and never did so I called only to be told that I d receive a call later on in the week and STILL NOTHING. I called this morning, spoke with Bryan and was told that he emailed me weeks ago. I asked him to verify the spelling of my name and my email address and everything is correct! to say I m disappointed would be an understatement! I m planning a wedding not a picnic!

Personal attantion las good as it gets. Claire is very knoledgeable and understands exactly what I want every time. Great people and with that guaranteed satisfaction, what does anyone have to lose. Thanks for being so personable and great!

I ordered flowers for a friend's birthday via phone. EXCELLENT customer service. He asked me what I'd like (of course I had no idea). So then he asked me questions about my friend in order to create an arrangement especially for her. He also asked me my budget, which was awesome. Instead of getting my hopes up on an arrangement I couldn't afford, they crafted one I could afford! My friend LOVED her arrangement, and my wallet wasn't drained. What's even better is she said the flowers lasted a long time!

My parents bought me flowers from here and I loved them. Little did I know the wrong bouquet was sent to me until my parents told me. They refunded my parents and even sent me flowers as an apology (after my parents told them they didn t need to send me more flowers). Very professional and kind company!! I was happy with the original flowers and understand this is a hard time, so I appreciate your company s hard work! Mistakes happen, and you went above and beyond dealing with this issue :)

Although they could not find my order at first when I called for an update... which scared the life out of me, they had the flowers already on the way to the their destination. They called and left a message saying the flowers were here but since my gf could not receive them they came back later to complete the delivery. The bouquet looks amazing, as expected.
