Pricey, but good quality food. Well made cocktails, however I'm not a fan of having to flag someone down when my drink is empty. When a bartender walks past and sees that it looks like the Sahara in my glass, they should ask me if I want a refill.

We stopped in here just to grab a bite for lunch since we were on Bowen's anyway. We arrived right when they opened so we got a nice seat outside in the shade. Our service was fast and friendly. The food was good for what we got - sweet, perfectly seared scallops, very crispy and fresh fish & chips, and a maple chicken salad sandwich that was moist enough and very flavorful. The star of the meal for me, though, was the clam chowder; it was the best I've ever tasted! I'm a huge bacon fan, so it might not be for everyone. The prices are a tad high, but the location is optimal - the view was wonderful - and the food was fresher than a few other places I've been. Thanks for a delicious Newport lunch!

By far my favorite restaurant and the only restaurant we instinctively make a reservation at every time we visit Newport. The French Onion Soup is my husband s favorite. We have never been disappointed by a meal. Each entree is paired perfectly together with a side, the seasoning is on point and the service is excellent. Desserts are phenomenal, too. The prices are high but honestly you get what you pay for. I cant wait to come back!

This place has it all. Delicious food, great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Service was smooth and food came out quickly. My fiance and I were celebrating our birthdays and soon to be wedding and the waitress gave us complimentary cake!! They go above and beyond. If it wasn't pricey I would go frequently, but you definitely get what you pay for!

I've dined all over the world and this is in my top 3 "don't visit again" list. It's a casual, rustic atmosphere similar to that of a very loud brewery. The acoustics are terrible. We went here with friends and it was so loud, we couldn't even hear one another. (I'd requested a quiet spot) and yet we literally found ourselves using sign language in order to communicate. The food was a la carte, way overpriced and wasn't very good. While it's on the harbor, there wasn't a view there are many other places close by which, for the same money, you can enjoy a real luxury dining experience. For example, when I order a jacket potato I anticipate a traditional veggie. Instead, I was served a jacket potato with a side piece of what seemed like butter, sour cream, cheese, chives and bacon all mixed together. It was downright revolting. At least separate your condiments. I really cannot recommend this place in good faith.

Excellent atmosphere, food and service. My husband and I had a wonderful meal here when we got engaged in Newport 5 years ago. We came back with our 1 year to celebrate our anniversary this weekend. Aware that it was risky to bring a 1 year old to such a nice restaurant, we booked an early reservation and made sure children were allowed. Although she's well behaved, 2 hours can be long for any child, and our waitress went out of her way to help us keep her happy with toys, food, etc, so we could enjoy our wonderful meal. She and the manager continuously checked on us, and the wine list, appetizers, main courses and service were all 5 star. We almost never leave reviews, but this restaurant and especially our waitress were exceptional, and made our anniversary and memory of our first experience there 5 years ago very special.

The place was super noisey and our table wasn't the greatest (despite reservation) but the food was impeccable and the wait staff were so accommodating. I would highly recommend. Also, the lobster Mac and cheese will blow your mind.

Outstanding seafood and service

Outstanding seafood and service
Best clam chowder ever, seared scallops on pea puree was delicious, generous portion appetizer. Paired well with Castle Hill Weissbier.

We were waiting for way more then 2 hours to get food. Around 1 hour to put appetizer order and another hour to put dinner order. Waiter was avoiding us and no warning about long waiting times. I guess kitchen was too busy and slow orders was purposeful... Quite expensive as well.

Great food, great service! Standard steakhouse that usually has a few more interesting specials (dry aged, large format steaks or grass fed local steaks) but they don't advertise the specials well. Steaks are ala carte with a few plated entrees with sides. It's a spendy outing, but well worth it.

What a great experience! First of all our waiter was Mike and he was fantastic, he knew the menu inside and out and was able to answer all of our questions without hesitation. We started with two appetizers the calamari and the scallops both were absolutely delicious. My wife had the Yellow fin Tuna which she said melted in her mouth. I had the aged Ribeye which was one of the best I have ever had, cooked to perfection! We finished with a key lime torte that brought me back to to keys with every bite! If you have been here you know exactly what I'm talking about and if you haven't I recommend you do yourself a favor and go try 22 Bowens.

Went to Newport for the night. Had a good experience at 22 Bowen s in the past, so made a reservation. Good food, good wine. However shortly after leaving I felt very sick, then shortly after me, so did my boyfriend. We both got food poisoning and spent our night away in the hotel room sick and miserable. We both had the same dish, and had not eaten prior. Sad touch to our night away. Definitely ate something that went bad...

I had the pleasure of a 90-day dry-aged steak which was divine; my wife's filet was excellent. However, we both ordered sides which were absolutely terrible. The "truffle Mac n cheese" tasted like a wet paper towel and no amount of butter could salvage the baked potato. Over all, this place is good, just maybe order a salad if you want something besides amazing steaks. The wine list is also pretty solid. The beer selection is only average; notably missing a ton of New England breweries.

Went there as a recommendation and worked out wonderfully. I shared the Calamari, Clam Chowder and the pork Tomahawk with my girlfriend: everything delicious. Overall the service was quite charming as well. Definitely a must when coming near Newport!

We had Thanksgiving dinner there after all our regulars cancelled on dinner at our house. Although their TG dinner sounded excellent, we all opted for something else. My wife had a two pound steamed lobster that was cooked perfectly; her mother had a huge tomahawk pork chop; and I had rack of lamb, which was cooked in herbs and tasted fabulous. 22B has become a high end steak house. Next time I will try one of their grass fed steaks.

Came here with family. It is an upscale restaurant and treats it's customers well. We ordered steaks. They were not cooked as asked for, but the problem was corrected quickly. The food was excellent and service was good. I would recommend this restaurant.

Nice dining option on Newport waterfront. Moderately priced, with a relaxed, semifinal atmosphere. Quieter than nearby locations that attract a more youthful touristy crowd. Very close to shops and waterfront sites. It's one of the few restaurants open for lunch off season.

So, I'm not going to write a long review and whatnot. I'm a lowly US Sailor, came here with my buddies to have a steak anf beer. BEST STEAK I'VE EVER HAD IN LIFE (28 years old). Del Monico steak, highly recommended. If you can get Sarah to be your waitress, do it she's the best!!!!

Delicious lobster rolls! Calamari was fried to a crisp and paired well with cocktail sauce. Staff was friendly and welcoming and it's right on the water! Go here if you want a relaxing time and some good food!
