Good food... it's a must if the Morings wait time is 2+ hours.

We love this place! Great food and service, a perfect night out.

Everything we ate was delicious. Filet, Caesar salad, mushroom risotto, baked potato, truffle Mac n cheese, and ratatouille. The truffle Mac was a must. Our waiter was wonderful as well. Can t remember his name, but he was from France, very helpful and enjoyable to talk to.

Celebrated anniversary here last night- restaurant gave us free champagne serving to celebrate. (Very nice touch!) Please note- this place is popular and busy - so if you are looking for quiet/romantic - it's not the place for you. However, portions were fair for the price. The calamari app was delicious and huge (share with 3 people). It's upscale food right on the wharf, but depending on the table - not all tables can see the water. Our server Adam was fantastic. The purple potatoes -utterly creamy and delicious. Plenty of bathrooms here too. Loved the restaurant week menu. 3 courses for $50.

Best fine dining in Newport RI!
The calamari was one of the best I have ever tried. The waiters were all very polite and checked on you just the right amount (sometimes I feel as soon as I stuff my mouth with food, someone comes along asks me how it is, then it is just a struggle of replying back and not trying to choke ).
I loved pineapple infused vodka which is house made. It is the first time that I tried it!

Best steaks we've ever eaten! Flavors that have your tastebuds thanking God! Worth price. FANTASTIC atmosphere and even better service. Always a privilege to be waited on by Fabio. Staff goes above and beyond every time. Menu has something for everyone. This past time we went for our anniversary and the staff surprised us with a candle lit dessert consisting of a cookie dough torte that was out of this world! Take some time and treat yourself to this treasure!

Excellent Food! We had steak, clams, scallops, cesar salad, carrot cake and chocolate cake. The steaks were cooked perfectly! I would order everything again except the carrot cake; it was not bad just not what I am used to. Also, our waiter Fabio (complete with authentic Italian accent) was wonderful.

Great service, excellent food and atmosphere. The fish n chips are even better than what I've had in London.

Delicious. I've been multiple times, mostly by myself at the bar as I'm in Newport for work. Steak frites with the bernaise is phenomenal. Who knew truffle fries dipped in bernaise would be a new level of awesomeness. Go here. It's worth it!

Atmosphere is really nice, great tuna and scallops!

So close to being great. Their selection of drinks and food is outstanding, but I went there twice this summer and the first time my steak was severely over cooked and second time it was woefully undercooked.

Went with my two toddlers and they Claimed they have no space inside or out! But plenty seating inside and out. Passed by 1.5 hour later tables inside and out were still empty.

I'm a local and to be fair, I gave them a try three times and would never return. RUDE Staff shouldn't even be working at burger king...no etiquette whatsoever. The manager seems to reward bad behavior of the staff as I brought to his attention two separate occassion and first time his answer was - oh gee nobody ever complained about him...second time he said - I can't beleive you had a bad experience. Third and Last visit there were little bugs flying at us when seated at the bar and bartender had an attitude about us even bringing it up. Sat at a table and had to use our napkins to kill 3 or 4. It's supposed to be an elegant place...was embarrassing to have suggested the place to my out of town guest for her bday. Never again

For winter, an expensive restaurant. The average check is 70 $.

We have been to 22 Bowen's numerous times for dinner and have always enjoyed! Yesterday, we tried their Sunday brunch and it was delicious! We always recommend this restaurant to our friends when they're visiting Newport.

Highly recommend this restaurant! Came by on our trip during, waiters wore masks and social distancing was enforced. I have to eat gluten-free and there were many options. They gave me gluten-free rolls fresh out of the oven. They provided toast with the appetizers. The service was excellent. Shane was wonderful.

Great food and staff ate outside yesterday!! Love it. Much more pleasant than the Black Pearl. Girls at Black Pearl very snippy! Will come back ASAP.

See Patrick at the bar for the best service. He's great. Food is amazing, and it has some of the best ambiance in town. If you're into glassware like I am, they have beautiful glasses for all their beverages. Patrick even gave me a club soda with cranberry in a martini glass so I could stick to my diet and feel special at the same time.

Amazing food and drinks. Oysters were local and delicious. Lobster Mac and Cheese is a must! Steaks were cooked perfect. Me and my wife came here during our honeymoon and they gave brought us complimentary champagne.

Absolutely amazing. Our waitress Bitney (I believe her name was) was outstanding, the food was fabulous, I had oysters and tuna, for the tuna ask them to cook it rare. We had a few small criticisms about the food but nothing major but she immediately offered us free dessert which she really didn't have to. Reserve a table, sit outside and enjoy the food and service! and the wharf

Tuna was awesome, beer list was substantial as I actually had a house made brew, waiter was excellent. Bring your coin this place is pricy but worth it.

How was 22Bowen's? Really good!! Can't believe we hadn't stopped in before (during summer, on boat). We certainly will from now on. It's Christmas time and they had carolers. There around 2p on Sunday. Food was great as was the bar staff (we enjoy sitting at bar). Nice place and comfortable! Look for us there next summer!!!

Great date night option. Delicious steak and wedge salad. Husband enjoyed his clam chowder. Sides weren't anything outstanding ( baked potato was huge). Would definitely come back.

We walked in without reservations. We were told they had no tables available, they were booked for the night, except at the bar, so we sat at the bar. We totally understood until we saw 14 tables empty our entire stay. We drank and had dinner at the bar until the kitchen closed and the 14 tables remained empty the entire time. Steak and fish were dry and had no taste. Only the bartender gets 2 thumbs up at this place.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and fantastic food

We were very disappointed with this restaurant. The waiter was VERY RUDE ; it seemed pretty evident that he was not pleased to be serving a family, rather than, say, 4 adults. And to be fair, my two little ones were so well behaved, that there was no need for this upturned-nose behavior. My husband and I half-joked "are we back in France with the kids?" [Because all the restaurants we went to in France, even the "family friendly" ones, seemed to despise children and were so rude.] Then, the food took an HOUR to get to the table! An hour. I can assure you that we didn't order anything complicated. So at that point, the little ones were starving and it was late, and overall ruined my nice birthday dinner out.

Though I do have to add, that it seems to be a trend with Newport restaurants. We've been going to Newport for years, and have crossed a lot of places off our list due to extremely slow service [not only food coming out slowly, but having to ask for water, like 5 times before getting it, or asking three times for the check...].
However, if you have, say 3 hours to just kill and wait around for food and drink, the food was quite good. We will not be going back though.

Best restaurant in all of rode island you should even try the clam chowder.

Yup....STEAK! Megan was excellent. Had the delmonico and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Had a great time. Tuna Poke was great and so was the calamari. Our waiter Jake was exceptional! We will be back. Oh, almost forgot the IPAs were great too.

My experience was amazing! The best food was paired with the best staff! We had Matthew, he was kind, organized, and very funny! Highly recommend... the food was worth every penny!!

This is a great place to grab a meal when in downtown Newport. We enjoy eating at the section on the wharf. They offer some of the best calamari in Newport and the staff is very friendly .

Put in a reservation to sit outside as those spots are hard to come by. The location is great but do not be fooled the food was not awesome. Granted it is right when everything opened up after Covid. But i'm still not giving them a pass. I ordered macaroni, chicken shwarama, steak and cheese sandwich, and calamari. The best thing was the calamari. Everything else felt like it was pre made. Try another restaurant if you can!

We have been several times with another couple and everything has been great from the drinks and appetizers right thru the main course and desserts. Servers are well prepared for any and all questions.

First Time Visiting Newport Rhode, Came To Twenty Two Bowen s for Dinner. Our server was Chelsea she made some recommendations and we were so so happy the dinner was absolutely fantastic and I would recommend it 100%

Thoroughly enjoyed the smoke salmon and chicken shawarma. It's a great location with good food and service.
