This was my go to ShopRite since I moved to the area. I ve always like shopping at this brand grocery store. I took my mom into this store for the first time after telling her how much I enjoyed buying my groceries there. However, I got to the deli counter to get some deli meats and there was one person being helped and three people behind the counter. The lady being helped was just about done when the young man behind the counter told her the other guy that was just a few feet away there was going to finish her order. The entire time we waited to be helped the man that was supposed to be finishing her order was conversing with another lady employee loudly and doing absolutely nothing. I walked over and asked if we could get some help, especially since there were no other customers around. He yelled back saying it s a shift change hold on. You gotta take a ticket. Mind you I grabbed the ticket before getting to the counter. If it s a shift change then I don t understand why it s acceptable to yell at customers asking for help whether you re coming in or leaving. The disrespect and nasty attitude was just unnecessary. It was a rude way to start our shopping trip and prefer better customer service than what was to offer at this grocery store. Highly unacceptable for ShopRite.
