This entire experience has been surreal. The medic...

This entire experience has been surreal. The medical staff, patient relations and especially the nursing staff are extremely apathetic, discourteous and unprofessional. My brother was airlifted to the hospital. During the time he has been at the hospital he cried on several occasions due to how he was treated by the doctors and nurses. He was allowed to sit in his own feces for over half an hour after ringing for the nurse three different times. After he defecated on himself the nursing staff was belligerent, yanking on him very aggressively. This incident took place in the ICU, subsequently to him being removed from a ventilator.

On another occasion, the following day he began to experience severe stomach pains. He repeatedly implored the nursing staff and finally several doctors to provide something for the pain. The ICU doctors and nurse responded by insinuating that my brother was an addict whom was drug seeking. He does not and has never consumed drugs or alcohol. It wasn't until hours later after it was found that he had a bacterial infection in his stomach that he was finally given pain medication.

The nursing and paraprofessional medical staff hide out in family waiting areas upwards to sixty minutes at a time. I believe this explains why my loved one and speaking with other patients' families are not receiving adequate and quality care. I am thoroughly disappointed and concerned about the quality (lack thereof) care my family has received. I will be addressing my concerns at the highest level of administration. If at all possible please do not seek medical treatment here.

Consequently, the doctors still have not provided a specific diagnosis for what caused my brother to become so ill, so quickly. Ostensibly, they do not seem to care to find one.
