This was our 3rd stay at the Phoenician. Most of the staff is very helpful and friendly at the hotel. Our room was beautifully updated. They also have some fun activities. The one negative that may keep me from returning is their pool seating policy. It can get very crowded and yet many seats go empty, because to reserve one of their prime deck spots (which are large decks of seats, not only cabanas) it will cost you $50 per seat. When paying a daily resort fee of almost $40/day with the tax, it seems outrageous to have to pay so much if you aren't out to the pool by noon. It creates a negative experience and was further aggravated by staff who wrongly told us some areas were reserved (even after seriously questioning) that were actually open seating. The grounds are really lovely though!
