Besides the CERN-SERN thing, it's a very interesting place, and you get an idea of how technology has advanced over the years. Also interesting to see is how everything happens there. It's really like its own little town, a scientifically incredibly advanced town.
Although it's quite a hassle to get the tickets, which makes sense, they're free and have a limited amount, it's definitely worth visiting, and the tour gives a good picture on how everything works there, and how 'normal' the people who work there are (the guide really enjoyed giving the tour, and they've got their own duck toy in the ATLAS control centre).

Besides the reviews making for a gold laugh, it's definitely recommendable to pay a visit there, to better understand how this world, even the universe, works.
