Great historical place to visit if you have read the book "The Diary of Anne Frank" recounting her living conditions during WWII as she hid with her family from the Nazis during their reign. You can see the interior but many areas including the original bookshelf staircase are now protected by plexiglass. Thirty years ago you were able to wander the original staircase and the rooms. Be sure to purchase tickets for entry on line in advance. Booking must often be done several weeks before your arrival and visit.
