This used to be our fav hideout place 12 years ago when Sentosa was still a pristine nature island. Now 12 years laters, Sentosa is becoming so commercialized and artificial, I am not sure what to call this hotel any more. It hasn t changed much. The hallways feel boring. The pool is not so nice as I remembered. There is not much to do here apart from the pool. The beach bar is public and hotel guests get only 10 percent discount and there is a min spend of 50 SGD to use the lounge chairs there. The beach is man made, just feels so artificial. The rooms are ok, but housekeeping is a bit inattentive, didn t even make up the room one day. My tv was not properly hooked up. Anyway, I wouldn t know where to relax in this place when it is full. There are way too few pool chairs for the size of the hotel. It gets expensive to go and come back to the hotel if you want to head to downtown Singapore. There are so many more new hotels in Singapore, I am not sure whether I would stay here anymore. they wanted to charge me over 200 SGD for a late checkout at 6 pm. The manager gave me a better rate of 180 until 9 pm. Still, I found a better deal and just booked one extra night for the same price so I didn t have the hassle and could leave whenever for my 2 am flight. The breakfast was just ok with not so 5 star experience.
