At first I liked valley med. Until I dealt with sadistic icu nurses. Also their ER s their lack of treatment almost killed my sister. While in school my pcp at valley recommended blood work. I was diagnosed early with cancer (CML). My first chemo caused liver failure. I was put on the top of the transplant list. I seen Dr. Levitt (now retired) he saved my life. While in ICU I was roomed with a patient who had ptsd and screamed all night! (not to mention she had lots of visitors and not the best hygiene) After 7 days of no sleep My request to change rooms was declined. I had no animosity for the patient, but I was tired. Me and my IV pole left. I sat in the cafeteria. After I was returned by security most of the ICU staff treated me like s/!t. I spent over 3 weeks in ICU with their attitude. Fast forward a few weeks. Due to Dr Levitt s care I brought my sister to the ER as she was very ill. She was a new tech employee, her benefits started late. (I.e. she was temp uninsured). ER had my sister waiting All night. By 6am The er cleared out and still they didn t bring her back. I drove her to El Camino hospital where they took her in Immediately. (They also stated I Never should have been in the ER waiting room since I was still recovering) My sister was admitted to their ICU with a life threatening blood infection. She was there over a week. I am writing this review late as I respected Dr Levitt and His ONC staff! After my release I did give gift cards to the Drs and support staff whom remained professional.
