Am saddened to say I lost my 2 year old pitbull just recently. MacDaddy was healthy before he had a sudden heat stroke in which the sitter chose this vet office to assist in helping. When I spoke over the phone with vet. I was advised the heat was excessive and we needed to start treatments asap but was quoted around $5000.00 for 4 days of hospital stay. I asked if anything was being done at the moment to help him even if fluids yet i was told he needed plasma transfusions. And they could not act on his health till the payments were paid upfront.. No consideration for his suffering, I have no clue exactly what MacDaddy went through the techs were rude in expressing I just needed to come with payments so they could start treatments I felt the vet was not prioritizing saving MacDaddy rather prioritizing securing large amounts of money up front.
I was then told after mentioning I was rushing back in town , that to treat him til I got in town would be $2900.00 for four hours...I was then told the shot that the vet or tech gave MacDaddy to stop his siezure stopped his heart..... And im saddened because I'll never know what exactly MacDaddy recieved as priority treatment.. What or how they reacted to a timely manor for MacDaddy's treatment. In MacDaddy best interest the vets and tech's in my opinion were focused on money not his life..
