3rd day here and I'm starting to regret my purchas...

3rd day here and I'm starting to regret my purchase of their season pass. I'm not sure how they can charge the prices they do for the mediocre operation they run here. Similar prices get you access to true world class resorts around the globe.

1. Parking lots are small, limited access, and if you aren't one of the first 50 cars or so, you are probably hiking up an awkward hill to the lodge.

2. Base lodge area is on a hill with enough slope to make maneuvering between the base facilities very awkward and tiresome.

3. Limited seating. They actually restrict most of the seating to only current customers of the tiny dining hall. The lunch burger was good, but the breakfast burrito was absolutely disgusting. I've ordered coffees on the 1st floor a few times. I always pay by card because I don't want loose change while on the slopes. Once the girl rolled her eyes when I pulled out my card. Another time, it was not busy but I had to wait over 10 minutes for a latte, because the girls were busy chatting. Then various drinks just sat on the counter without them announcing the orders. There was confusion to my order because the cup was not labeled and had the wrong size. How hard is it to confirm the drink you throw on the counter when people are waiting?

4. Entered the double lift near the clock tower. Multiple lifties working near the gate. I enter, approach the load sign, chair swings around, I sit on it. At that very moment there was no liftie precisely next to the chair loading. A lift is a lift right? You sit on it. An older man runs out of the cabin as soon as I sit down screaming at me, "You sit on the RIGHT SIDE!!!" with clear anger and agitation in his voice. Here I am already 10 feet above the ground, on the left side, with a bar in the middle preventing me from doing so. I am all for following rules. But clearly there is a lack of desire to be bothered to man the station properly, put up a gate marking the load area clearly, or at the very least, put up a sign informing guests of how they would like singles to sit on this particular lift. It was disgusting behavior and a HUGE turnoff. Not exactly how I want to start my day here. I did not pay all this money and drive over here to be yelled at or antogonized by angry staffers.

Somehow Stevens wants to sell themselves as a luxury resort. Maybe they should visit some actual resorts to see the actual level of services and hospitality that is provided.

5. On a positive note, the terrain park is actually given a decent amount of space to setup some nice flow. Counted maybe six small to 5 meter kickers. It is definitely a fun and thoughtfully laid out park.

6. If there is fresh snow, the tree areas on the backside are very fun.

7. As for the rest of the inner resort groomers, it is what it is. Not impressed with the acreage but it seems well groomed and can't really complain.

8. The bathrooms while not sloppy, are narrow and cramped. Mix that with everyone in snow gear and it's yea, not where you want to be. Also no ventilation going on in there, so imagine what that smells like.
