Some of the magic has dissappeared... I used to come here as a kid when it was just a zoo and then transformed to a theme park which we then loved as teenagers. Coming back now lots of the rides are old and dated. Little things like having characters dressed up walking around you don't see any more, or balloon sellers, or entertainers plus on the day we went 4 or 5 rides closed.
Some of the height restrictions make no sense, for example my 5 yr old can ride the Vampire at 110cm but is too small to ride the Tiger Rock log flume which is by far tamer! I agree with lots of people that the animals don't belong here, the enclosures are too small. Stay as a theme park don't try and be the two things.
Other little things like on the Gruffalo ride, previously the Bubble works used to end in a finale of water fountains... which are no longer there takes away some of the wow factor.
The entry prices are extortionate even buying in advance saying a 5yr old is an adult price is wrong especially when they are too small to get on a lot of rides.
We had a fun day, despite the rain but the rainy day guarantee is not easily sorted.
Customer services/afteresales are poor and don't respond to messages or emails.
It's a shame as I want to love the park as much as I did but as I say bring back some of that magic again and give my little girl the same amazing memories I had to get a 5* rating.
