This is an absolute must for any visitor to Houston. The museum strikes a perfect balance between history and science. Some criticize the entrance for being too kiddy with lots of activities and flashing lights. I disagree this is one of the best parts because it s designed to get the next generation excited about space and STEM education. You can always walk past it to see the more in-depth exhibits.
Two negatives: the food at the cafeteria is not good at all and the lines for the tours are very long. (Note DO NOT SKIP THE TOUR - rocket park is the best part of the museum). Go on a weekday to minimize the crowds and to visit the Apollo11 control room (not open on weekends).
